I love my Atrix HD but one key feature that is missing is the ability to enable and disable LTE mode. By that I do not mean just turning on and off data services. Many other Android phones have the ability to select the radio band that you wish to use. It gives the owner of the product the ability to move down to 3G or Edge service if he or she wishes. As it is now we are all forced into LTE mode.
View 2 RepliesAfter the ICS update, I lost the GPS Enabled/Disabled toggle widget that used to be on my Razr Maxx. It was so easy to push this button to enable/disable the GPS function. Just like the Airplane mode.... Any ideas how I can bring that back?? BTW, I now need to use 3 steps to check the Stand Alone GPS block on my locations in order to use my Google Maps Navigator.

This was a major way that I communicated with my farflung family. With the Atrix, I can't seem to get this to work without going to settings and enabling the data network for everything that might want to use it ( and that seems to be a considerable number of things despite my efforts to choose wireless only options.) I realize I can turn it on briefly to send (though that's a multi-step process) but there's no way to anticipate when an MMS message is coming in.
I have tried lightly pressing the power button to get this puppy to sleep, but the battery runs down anyway. So, maybe I'm doing something wrong. How do you get the xoom to sleep?

I recently added Bluetooth to my 2011 Toyota Tacoma by installing: a Pioneer DEH-P6200BT, the handsfree steering wheel buttons, and a
PAC SWI-PS (interface between the steering wheel controls and the Pioneer). Everything works as expected except that the Voice Command button doesn't seem to do anything. I'm pretty sure the PAC SWI-PS is programmed correctly. the On Hook/Off Hook buttons work as do the audio control buttons. But the Atrix doesn't respond to the Voice Command button.
I just bought the lapdock for the Atrix 4G and I think this is the first generation ($50 from AT&T). In my home network, I have a print server (Trendnet) to which 2 Epson inkjet printers are attached via the 2 USB ports.
Now when I add a printer in the lapdock, it shows me the 2 USB ports (PS-7336E9-U1 and PS7336E9-U2, both of these are standard TCP/IP ports per printer properties on my desktop. I select one of them and just shows me the Postcript or PCL drivers. when I tried to print a test page, it printed all garbage on mulitple pages, whichever of my 2 network printers. Is there a way to install the Epson inkjet drivers so that it will print properly on my lapdock.
Getting this error when they try to add a new account / update old account on Gingerbread? Trying to update my facebook password. Keep getting the error : "Error Adding Account. There is a problem with the clock on the device. Please contact customer service".
View 15 Replies View RelatedWas in an airport this week with a travel companion. Had my LapDock with me and was passing time away on the Web. My companion knew about my equipment and asked if he could use my Hotspot for his laptop. Sure I said.
Then I spent the next several minutes trying to get it to turn on. Finally took the Atrix out of the LapDock and it would turn on. Put it back in the LapDock and he stayed connected and I went back to what I was doing. Turned it off later still docked, but could not turn on again like before.
Searched around for this and found nothing about not being able to turn the HotSpot on while in the LapDock. Turns on/off fine when in my MM Dock. Running 1.8.3 stock at the moment.
Looking through the videos on the Motorola website, while using the camera they show using the 'Multi-Shot' mode. I do not see that. Is there some way to enable it?

Tried to do a FDR and I have the little android guy on my screen now with what looks like a rotating atom in his belly and a blue progress bar below him. Been like this for several hours now and I even tried calling the Motorola people and I'm still where I was. Can anyone offer a solution before I take it back to where I bought it from to see if they will even replace it? I did the holding down the volume buttons simultaneously and then the power button, got the motorola logo and then goes right back to this annoying little android guy with the rotating atom in his belly.

Now, there is an option in Settings -> Location & Security -> Use tactile feedback. It only works partially. It enabled fingerprint authentication produces one short and one long vibration. When disable it is down to one short vibration. I am curious is this a bug or a feature?

Anybody know of an app or method to disable the screen lock when a bluetooth connection is established? It would be great if it would re-enable when the connection is dropped. I would find this particularly helpful when using my Atrix as a music player or when in the car so that I don't have to unlock with a pin or fingerprint (which can be difficult when in a dock).Perhaps, I have to disable the lock completely.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI went into Airplane Mode today using the widget. It turned off my Wifi (but not GPS?) and went into Airplane Mode just fine. Then when using the widget to turn Airplane Mode off I see my Wifi turn back on, but the Airplane Mode isn't removed. The only way I can find to actually take the phone out of Airplane mode is to hold the power button and toggle it from the silent/airplane/power popup.

how do I get the photon to get "charge only" mode when connecting the photon to a pc?I have 2 operating systems, 1 tablet with windows 7 professional 32 bit tablet pc, and 1 laptop with windows xp professional 32 bit.Some other people were saying as soon as they plug in their photon to their PC, they can drop down the notification menu from where the clock, signal indicator is and see this option. I do not have this when trying to connect - all it does is "charge" but I am able to make/receive calls this way.Both OS's do not recognize the photon, and there are no errors in device manager.I also did the OTA update to MR5 from sprint over wifi.Is there a link to the application or correct drivers I need for this? Also how can I test to see if this will work?

But my question is do you have to have bluetooth turned on also? When I tried to use Siri on a recent trip it wouldn't work unless I turned on Bluetooth.

I can toggle airplane mode on and off and get connectivity for a breif moment. Even making calls it trys and then says end 0:00. This only happens at my job. Tower is not down, have had this issue at home as well but not as severe.. I have the new updated Android software and this is a refurbished phone.
