View 4 Replies View RelatedSo yesterday I spent a couple hours taking some photographs and came home to do some design work and I left the 1020 charged in. Yet as the day went on, the phone never charged, it continued to go down, even plugged in. I tried plugging in the camera extension but even with that it eventually discharged to 4% then stuck there, plugged in. When I'd unplug, I would get the critical battery warning. I tried rebooting twice, and finally on the 2nd reboot, the battery level went to 100%.
View 5 Replies View Relatedhad it in my pocket whislt I was walking round, and when I sat down at a restaurant and looked at it, and it was almost like the phone had just died, but the screen didn't light up and the LED didn't flash. I charged it up fully the night before and i know that when the battery is flat it flashes yellow, but it was doing nothing. When I got home i tried charging it, but nothing and then I plugged it into my laptop to try a retrive all of my stuff on there but again nothing!

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy s6 keeps saying its overheating and wont charge its in the middle of doing a factory restore but i have no charge.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy S6 says it is overheated and it will no longer charge or turn on, plugged in or not. This started after using the video camera, but I don't think that is the cause. It seems that the temperature sensor is reading temperature incorrectly.

Should i charge it to 100% for the first time? Or does it even matter? I really want the battery to be good. Is there and special things I should do?
I fell asleep last night without putting my phone on charge, and I wake up this morning to a lifeless phone, so I just pop it on charge ...
its been 3 hours and the phone is still dead, with the red LED flashing every couple of seconds.
I've tried holding the power button in for a few seconds, ive switched cables/plug.
I've tried plugging it in to my laptop too
After doing galaxy update battery will not charge
View 1 Replies View RelatedWithin the past couple of weeks I started noticing that the phone was having trouble charging. As the problem got worse it would intermittently vibrate and flash and stop charging, but then resume normal charging. The problem got so bad I was unable to get it to take a charge at all and the battery ran out completely. So I took it to the Verizon store. The guy plugged it in using his charger and it immediately started charging. Problem solved. I needed a new charger. Not so fast. Once I got it home and started using it again the problem returned. Today in frustration I turned the phone off. After a few minutes I plugged it in and it immediately started charging, and in less than an hour was at 100%. So I turned it back on and started making calls. After a while I plugged it in to see if it would charge and I get the same issue.

With it been under 12 months I took it bak to the Orange shop who then sent it to Samsung who then had it for 2 weeks and then said it had water damage and they wont repair it. (My son later admitted he takes his phone into the bathroom and listens to music while having a shower )Taking this on the chin I then took it to a local repair shop who said its the UME - Universal Power Manager that has gone. They have tried to get hold of the part but according to them Samsung dont do this part.
I was trying to install a custom rom or something and his phone turned off and now it wont turn on at all he gave it to me to try to fix it i tried all the methods but none of them work it wont go to recovery wont go to download mode wont charge wont vibrate nothing happens at all....

View 2 Replies View RelatedI did a search and found others that have the edge or edge+ saying their wireless charger will start and stop or not charge to 100%, but my issue is different.
Have had the S6 since April. Wireless charger worked fine. Then all of a sudden a few months later I needed to keep readjusting to find the sweet spot. Now, I put my S6 on the charger and... Nothing. Doesn't even register that they are touching. Thought it was the charger, but I just got a Moto 360 and as soon as I put it on the Samsung charger, it started charging in 2 seconds.
I have a S5 that won't charge it's battery. The phone says its charging, but the battery won't charge. Even when I have the phone plugged into a charger, the battery continues to drain as it would normally. I work at a phone repair store, so I was able to test it with multiple cords and charging blocks, along with different batteries. I was also able to replace the original charge port with another we had in stock. Same result, nothing.
In the imgur there is a picture I took in the Galaxy Charging Current app while the phone is hooked up to a USB 2.0 port on my PC. Reference and average register 450 mA and max is 460 mA imgur (dot) com/a/6fOC4
I'm using its original charger but it still doesn't charge my phone. I did drop it once but my phone still charged perfectly fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI had a search and couldn't really find anything pertinent to this, but apologies if I've missed anything glaringly obvious!I know people used to say you should initially charge a new mobile phone for at least 12 hours. This always seemed ludicrous to me - surely the charging circuitry stops charging once the battery is at 100%
Some people suggest that the newer phones have different types of batteries that are less susceptible to the memory effect. Is this the case?Anyway, what would you suggest for an initial charge? I've had my SGS2 on charge for nearly 5 hours now. Is this enough, or should I give it longer? And what's the best practice for charging in general? Allow it to fully discharge every time? Is it bad to put it on charge before you go to sleep every night?
The adaptive fast charger that came with my phone works well with my galaxy s6. Fast charging works well and I can get up to 50% charge in about 25 mins. But the problem is it doesn't charge any other phone apart from galaxy s6. If I plug my htc one or lg g3 or any other phone (even blackberry), it will indicate its charging but won't add any juice. I've tried charging other phones for up to 30 mins, rather than charging the battery % will either stay where it is or sometimes drain. It can't even charge simple things like a modem or even a ps4 controller. I once plugged a ps4 controller and the charging light indicated, but to my surprise after 1 hour of charging it still was not able to add one bar to the battery. In fact if I plug a phone with 2% battery , after 20 mins of charging the phone dies.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFor some reason tonight, by S6 wouldn't charge with the cable, only wireless.
Yes, I've tried multiple cables and chargers.
The phone won't recognize or charge with the cable. I sent the phone away for repair only to get a response from Bell saying the issue is not covered under warranty and is unrepairable. When I received the phone back I found out it will still charge with the wireless pad I bought. What are my options?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my S6 the week it came out, so I've had it for a decent amount of time, without any problems until last week. One day I experienced a sharp battery drain, and plugged it in my PC to charge. To my surprise it wouldn't charge! It shows that it's charging, but it wont go up in charge. The only way to charge it now is with its own fast charger. I fiddled with it a bit, (cleared cache, uninstalled apps, etc. ) and I can say the battery drain problem seems to be fixed for now. But I'm still unable to charge it up via the PC (or a laptop) USB port.
