View 1 Replies View RelatedThe phone won't recognize or charge with the cable. I sent the phone away for repair only to get a response from Bell saying the issue is not covered under warranty and is unrepairable. When I received the phone back I found out it will still charge with the wireless pad I bought. What are my options?
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen the phone is kept idle the charging time says 45 min but when i start using it da charging time goes upto 1 hour 30 minutes??? Do i need to change my battery. I am using s6 edge ....
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy s6 got wet in the rain yesterday. First it said it was too cold to charge and now it's saying it's too hot. I've put it into safe mode.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've found several times that my phone would wake in the middle of the night, which is rather annoying. I turned off notifications for any app that seemed to wake the phone, and I usually put the phone in "Do Not Disturb" mode at night. Now, the only thing that wakes it is when the battery becomes fully charged. How to stop the phone from doing this? I use the phone as my clock/alarm, so I don't want to turn the phone off. Since many people probably charge their phones next to their beds at night, this seems like a particularly dumb feature.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just got my new Samsung Galaxy s6 edge mobile phone , it's taking a long time to charge first time , is that normal .
View 1 Replies View RelatedMostly when my phone is powered on through the night, I only lose like 14% tops in battery percentage difference but on this particular night, I placed it on my Silver MacBook pro and it was a cold weather. Since this is unusual, the questions I have been asking myself is if it could have happened as a result of the contact between the back of the phone and the laptop or what could be the issue`? there are many processes that probably runs overnight on the phone and even in previous times but never seen such a drain like this I it went totally flat from 87%...
View 1 Replies View RelatedDownloaded the outlook app version 1.9 yesterday to my new S6 Edge and in the morning the battery was gone - from 100%! The log tells me outlook used a whopping 73% of it -
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had the s6 edge since April and within the last 2 weeks the battery life has decreased dramatically I've always used the adaptive fast charger and haven't had a problem until now! I tried switching to a regular charger but no difference. I also downloaded a battery optimizer that says I have hours left but it's still draining plus even with the power saving mode and ultra power saving mode it still drains even with closing all apps and every tip out there!
View 9 Replies View RelatedJust got my new phone, less than a week. Last night I forgot to plug in to charge and the battery died at 2:53 AM... (Still showing on the edge of the screen). Plugged it in for more than 2 hours now it doesn't respond to anything. Hold the power button and so on... Nothing.
View 7 Replies View RelatedNormally the battery drops about 20% per night. Occasionally it's kind of hot/warm and more than 50% dropped. I used an iphone 5 before S6 EDGE, and it dropped around 10~15% per night.Where I sleep has a good 4G signal and WIFI signal. I haven't turned on the "don't disturb" option when I sleep. Also, due to the unacceptable quick power consumption, I have turned on power saving mode all the time, although this makes switching apps slower.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWas using 5.1.1 after update and was having a few little issues, nothing too bad, the battery was acceptable. I did a factory reset to try and iron these issues out..... phone now is better however the battery has taken a large hit.
Nothing obviously causing it. All looks normal, when I have charged fully the battery info shows estimated battery at around 9 to 10 hours brightness set below 50% . It's a bit annoying when you do everything to manage it. Was fairly happy before but now... didn't know if it's feasible to keep.
I know a lot of you here would love the battery life i am getting so i do not mean to sound like i am complaining! I am mostly just curious! Basically i was amazed with how good my battery life was initially. I think on my second full charge i managed 8h30mins screen on time and probably averaged somewhere between 7hours - 8h30mins for the fist few days (needless to say i made tweaks to achieve those results as i always do when i buy a new phone)
I have since disabled anther 2 or 3 apps and i have also turned off location and used black themed wallpapers purely just to test if i could get even further from the battery! However the opposite has happened! Suddenly iam doing well if i make it to 5h30mins
I know that may not seem bad .......... but its not great considering the amount of tweaks i have made and i am at a loss to understand how i was getting 7-8 hours screen on time for the first few days/week!
Iam wondering if i could have disabled an app that could be behind this?
When i viewed my battery usage before i would often see chrome, facebook etc using a little battery where as now its screen, android system, android os, cell standby, device idle etc and recently peoplestripe is appearing as using 1%...
Last night my fully charged S6 Edge was taken off the charger and left next to my bed. When I got up 7.5 hrs later I was very surprised to see that approx half my battery was gone and all due to the stock email sync. I have unlimited data and didn't bother changing the sync to longer intervals rather than push. I have obviously changed the sync interval.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUnfortunately, cell standby has been a major problem of mine for a long time. I know that it has something to do with connecting to WiFi while idle or sending streams of data required by some apps, but I don't know how to reduce the battery strain. It's battery drain can range from taking up to 25%-50% of my battery life, whether or not I use my phone during the day, and my phone will only last about 1/2 of the day.
I have been looking up ways on how to solve this on other popular threads on this site, but none have had any lasting solutions. I have done the usual battery saving tactics like turning down brightness, scanning for Wi-Fi, location, Google now, Bluetooth, sync settings, disabled bloatware that I don't need that commonly suck up battery life on other Galaxies, attempted both turning on and off advanced calling, and attempted the method where you wipe the cache partition and reboot the device, and reset the settings and restored to factory defaults, all of which only reduced the battery strain a little bit.
I am new, both to android and my S6 Edge. It is on 5.0.2, rooted, and do not tell me to RESET TO FACTORY. I can't really do it because I don't want to, there is a lot of great apps and the internet in my country is very bad.
Idk if it is due to the root itself. The closest I got was "cocktailbar service", and my S6 Flip cover (they don't have Edge cover so I improvised).
I check every night for wifi, location services and running activities. However, no matter what I do, I fail. It won't go to sleep. When I wake up, it is really warm and it is at 50-60%. I think it is something you guys call wakelock. This is really frustrating; one reason why I like Apple and their iOS.
I tried various methods. I have some screenshots you can take a look at. You see that it won't go to sleep, not for a second and the CPU is really hot.
When plugged in , says battery temperature too low to charge. Is less than 2 weeks old, charged fine till last night, then did not charge. Have tried plugging n at different places tried portable charger, tried thru usb to computer. Just shows batteru at 39% and a thermometer with the red area partially up. and displays message battery temp too low to charge.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a S5 that won't charge it's battery. The phone says its charging, but the battery won't charge. Even when I have the phone plugged into a charger, the battery continues to drain as it would normally. I work at a phone repair store, so I was able to test it with multiple cords and charging blocks, along with different batteries. I was also able to replace the original charge port with another we had in stock. Same result, nothing.
In the imgur there is a picture I took in the Galaxy Charging Current app while the phone is hooked up to a USB 2.0 port on my PC. Reference and average register 450 mA and max is 460 mA imgur (dot) com/a/6fOC4
Just about a week ago, I started getting notifications when the phone is plugged in and the battery is fully charged. How do I stop this? I looked through the sound & notification setting and can't find it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI believe the on-screen message was close to the title example. Anyway, after draining the battery to around 25% (last used apps were instagram, snapchat, clash of clans, and nlf mobile) I plugged in to the charger that originally came with the S6. Within a minute I heard the "low-battery, please recharge" sound and saw the "Battery temperature is too high and will not charge" message. Then after doing the attempts below trying to troubleshoot, my phone is currently at 0% and unable to charge. The charger plug isn't even recognized without awkward positioning. The charger plug (and phone battery to a lesser extent) did often become hot when charging, but I never thought anything of it, as it seemed like a known/common occurrence among GS6 owners.
1. First reaction: unplug charger, use Advanced Task Killer, then wait couple minutes before plugging back in.
2. Soft reset through power button and Restart option.
3. Tried moving original charger to different wall outlets/power strips and using my old charger that originally came with a GS3.
4. Reboot to Bios screen (I think thats what its called), cleared cache, and restart.
5. Factory reset from Settings->Backup option
After the factory reset, the battery hit 0% during the initial set up. Strangely, when I tilt the charger plug upwards (slight downward angle going into port), the phone reacts as if recognizing a charger is plugged. This angle wasn't necessary prior to the "breaking," but by maintaining the angle I can keep the phone on while it goes through the initial startup (until it tries to find a network or search for updates, then turns off). I wanted to see if there were any possible ways of saving this phone.
Overheated and bought a new battery. Came at 12%. Phone boots but when I plug it in to charge it, lightening bolt never appears.
Shut the phone down and plug it in to charge it. The battery with the lightening bolt appears on the screen, with no percentage, then disappears. This happens repeatedly and battery never charges.
I have:
1) Cleaned the ports
2) Factory reset
3) Tried a different cable
4) Tried booting in safe mode (won't charge)
5) Left the phone for an hour (it just did the same thing... battery appears, disappears the whole time)
I just picked up two new nokia icons off ebay.. it was listed as new at least.. came in a box etc..
If i plug it in to charge.. it charges at about 1% per hour if that.. turn the screen on and it drops several percent,. use it unplugged and it rapidly discharges maybe 15% or more in a very short period of time.
Im guessing i got a bad batch?
Its very odd that both phones exhibit the same behavior.. and just for kicks i left 8.1 on one and put 10 on the other.
I have a Bold 9000 and it is draining the battery very quickly doesnt even last a few hours with a couple of calls and when its flat will only charge if I take out the battery and put in on a universal charger it wont charge with the blackberry mains charger, car charger or usb connection.I have bought two new batteries and all the same thing, turned off all applications I can see.The phone was bought new from an ebay seller in December and I cant get any response now from them and they are no longer on ebay.I have seen something about updating the system.

What should I do to fix that problem, I have donwload all the last version and the phone is only a few months old.

I just wanted to ask if there is some app or something to make my edge glow while screen off.
View 6 Replies View RelatedBoth my wife and I have Defy's owned for 4 months and upgraded to Froyo 2.2 some weeks ago.both working normally. Then yesterday my phone, for no obvious reason, came up with the message "Invalid Battery.Your device battery is invalid and cannot be charged. Replace the battery with an origional motorola battery." Also the battery symbol at top right of display is black, not green, and has a? mark in it. I have checked my battery, which came with the phone, and it is official Motorola with hologram. So is my wifes.I tried swapping the batteries and while my battery works perfectly in her phone, her battery in my phone gives the same errors.I then tried a master reset....Twice! Both successful, wiping all my data, and requiring me to set up the phone again, but problem still remains.
