View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a S5 that won't charge it's battery. The phone says its charging, but the battery won't charge. Even when I have the phone plugged into a charger, the battery continues to drain as it would normally. I work at a phone repair store, so I was able to test it with multiple cords and charging blocks, along with different batteries. I was also able to replace the original charge port with another we had in stock. Same result, nothing.
In the imgur there is a picture I took in the Galaxy Charging Current app while the phone is hooked up to a USB 2.0 port on my PC. Reference and average register 450 mA and max is 460 mA imgur (dot) com/a/6fOC4
the phone is only about 2 months old.....and now won't charge due to this message
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust about a week ago, I started getting notifications when the phone is plugged in and the battery is fully charged. How do I stop this? I looked through the sound & notification setting and can't find it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI believe the on-screen message was close to the title example. Anyway, after draining the battery to around 25% (last used apps were instagram, snapchat, clash of clans, and nlf mobile) I plugged in to the charger that originally came with the S6. Within a minute I heard the "low-battery, please recharge" sound and saw the "Battery temperature is too high and will not charge" message. Then after doing the attempts below trying to troubleshoot, my phone is currently at 0% and unable to charge. The charger plug isn't even recognized without awkward positioning. The charger plug (and phone battery to a lesser extent) did often become hot when charging, but I never thought anything of it, as it seemed like a known/common occurrence among GS6 owners.
1. First reaction: unplug charger, use Advanced Task Killer, then wait couple minutes before plugging back in.
2. Soft reset through power button and Restart option.
3. Tried moving original charger to different wall outlets/power strips and using my old charger that originally came with a GS3.
4. Reboot to Bios screen (I think thats what its called), cleared cache, and restart.
5. Factory reset from Settings->Backup option
After the factory reset, the battery hit 0% during the initial set up. Strangely, when I tilt the charger plug upwards (slight downward angle going into port), the phone reacts as if recognizing a charger is plugged. This angle wasn't necessary prior to the "breaking," but by maintaining the angle I can keep the phone on while it goes through the initial startup (until it tries to find a network or search for updates, then turns off). I wanted to see if there were any possible ways of saving this phone.
Overheated and bought a new battery. Came at 12%. Phone boots but when I plug it in to charge it, lightening bolt never appears.
Shut the phone down and plug it in to charge it. The battery with the lightening bolt appears on the screen, with no percentage, then disappears. This happens repeatedly and battery never charges.
I have:
1) Cleaned the ports
2) Factory reset
3) Tried a different cable
4) Tried booting in safe mode (won't charge)
5) Left the phone for an hour (it just did the same thing... battery appears, disappears the whole time)
I just picked up two new nokia icons off ebay.. it was listed as new at least.. came in a box etc..
If i plug it in to charge.. it charges at about 1% per hour if that.. turn the screen on and it drops several percent,. use it unplugged and it rapidly discharges maybe 15% or more in a very short period of time.
Im guessing i got a bad batch?
Its very odd that both phones exhibit the same behavior.. and just for kicks i left 8.1 on one and put 10 on the other.
I have a Bold 9000 and it is draining the battery very quickly doesnt even last a few hours with a couple of calls and when its flat will only charge if I take out the battery and put in on a universal charger it wont charge with the blackberry mains charger, car charger or usb connection.I have bought two new batteries and all the same thing, turned off all applications I can see.The phone was bought new from an ebay seller in December and I cant get any response now from them and they are no longer on ebay.I have seen something about updating the system.

Both my wife and I have Defy's owned for 4 months and upgraded to Froyo 2.2 some weeks ago.both working normally. Then yesterday my phone, for no obvious reason, came up with the message "Invalid Battery.Your device battery is invalid and cannot be charged. Replace the battery with an origional motorola battery." Also the battery symbol at top right of display is black, not green, and has a? mark in it. I have checked my battery, which came with the phone, and it is official Motorola with hologram. So is my wifes.I tried swapping the batteries and while my battery works perfectly in her phone, her battery in my phone gives the same errors.I then tried a master reset....Twice! Both successful, wiping all my data, and requiring me to set up the phone again, but problem still remains.
View 6 Replies View RelatedIt's doing that whole "Can not charge battery, please insert a sony ericsson battery" when it is a Sony Ericsson battery Is there anyway to fix this without going to the store you got it from, its the third time this has happened and im sick of having to return it then go three weeks without a phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 4s battery was dead, so I replaced a battery bought over internet. Now when I charge the phone ( using usb cable plugged to the power outlet on the wall) on right top corner it displays "battery is charged" (battery icon with a plug) but % of charge remains at 5%.

After finally getting rid of my 5800 doorstop, I'm now the (proud?) owner of an N97. I've encountered a fair few of the software/ c: problems and using many of the usefull tips to help with those, BUT - after 2 weeks my supplied battery (BP-4L) now won't charge more than half full and when used it dies after minutes when using the internet or an application. Thats just not right, it got an initial 24 charge and bi nightly, then nightly recharges in the first week, and its having to be left on charge constantly now.
So I rang my SP Vodafone as it was only 2 weeks old, and the chap said the 4L was the wrong battery? he said it should be a 5f but as he had none he would send me a BL-6F which was compatible and would last longer. Can't believe this will be correct, surely its a smaller battery, its also 1200mah as opposed to 1500mah so will drain quicker. Any Techy chaps know whether this'll be acceptable. Drawing up the strength for another bash at the SP, but its like speaking dutch to them.
Just got my Bold and the battery won't charge
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a brand new battery, and left it to charge overnight, when I woke up, the battery icon was still red with a plug logo on it (which insures me that it's charging) I thought the battery was messed up, so I returned it and took another one, but again, it's been in the charger for 2 hours straight now, and the battery icon is still red with the plug icon on it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed the BB 6.0 device software about a week ago and realized that there is a bug in the battery charge indicator. From the home screen, when you plug the phone in to charge, for a half a second the battery indicator indicates the charger being plugged in and then returns to the state it was before...showing just the current charge level and no indication that it's being charged. You would get the feeling that you have something wrong with your port or the charger itself. However if you then go to Calendar or Contacts you will see the yellow lightning bolt flashing in the battery meter indicating charging. Switch back to the home screen and it's gone again.

Like an idiot my iphone 4 got fully sumereged. I put it in rice over night, then took it apart, took out the battery and sim card, and let it dry out in the oven at a low temperature. I put everything back together and it works great, BUT, the battery will not charge. It has been plugged into the wall for an hour and still shows it's almost empty, and has been turning on and off. The warranty is over so I'm not worred about that, but what can I do now? Can I buy a new battery? Will it get better with time? I'm up for a new phone but the 5 is supposed to come out in October and I MUST HAVE IT. What can I do in the meantime??

Is there any concern about charging via by connecting to USB port of laptop or pc? For example, if the battery is 80%, then by connecting to pc, it is charged.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi usually charge mine from around 10-20% all the way to 100% and it has been fantastic......but right now i am charging mine and it's nearly 1am in uk and it's only on 71% and i dont think i can stay awake much longer......
I definitely dont wanna leave it plugged in overnight so i was wondering will i harm the battery if i take it out soon without waiting till it's fully charged? I obviously dont wanna make it less effective cos so far it's been awesome.
Is it possible to over-charge a lithium-ion battery? I've heard multiple things about the causes of a bubbling battery or one that will not charge, does leaving a phone plugged in over night actually negatively affect battery life?
