I have a new Samsung Galaxy S6, running 5.1.1. For a week, incoming and outgoing text messages have been registering correctly in the call log. As of today, texts are no longer registering in the call log (but they appear in the message log) and no previous texts are listed. I have spent quite a bit of time looking online for an answer - no luck.
View 9 RepliesI installed the application pro version (mod Note :unapproved app store removed) for my Samsung s6 edge and removed the lite version and thought that i could sync from dropbox or google drive but it never synced from those applications and I have tried for a very long time to find all my important recorded calls that i never received back in many different ways.

I'm not sure whether this is a fault with the phone or with with my network operator, O2. This doesn't happen all of the time, just sporadically.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSo I just got a new SD card for my Galaxy S5. SanDisk 32GB micro. It's set up on my phone to save my pictures and videos I take to the card. It works great so far, shot lots of pictures and video over the weekend and they view and play back flawlessly on my phone.
When I got home however I uploaded the files to my computer, but the videos only play sound. The videos file type still shows mp4. The pictures are fine.
When I view previously recorded videos on my PC from my phone from BEFORE I got the SD card, they view normally with full audio/visual playback.
I'm using Windows Media Player.
Ergo it's obviously something with the new card. Codec perhaps?
I recorded a video on my samsung s5 and really need to remove the conversation in the background. I am hoping there is a way to easily do this. All I need to do is just erase the sound so I can share the video.
View 2 Replies View RelatedDidn't notice that every video I record after my last update , can only record audio and video the first minute or less and then for some reason playback stops but you can still listen to audio. This has happened to all my recorded videos.
Read somewhere on the internet that you have to delete DATA and clear CACHE on the Camera app, have not recorded any video since then, but will try to see if this works.
My blackberry torch is not even 6 months old and randomly it wont send texts, reveieve them or let me call anyone. When i call someone it says call failed. I have the right plan and everything.

I'm often in meetings at work and unless I have my phone under my nose I don't see/hear a missed message. I started the contract in November 2011 with a Torch 9860.I had numerous problems with the phone freezing and randomly losing data such as texts, call logs and emails. In 9 months I've had 5 phones and 1 sim card change, 2 weeks ago BT changed the handset to a Torch 9810. The phone has worked fine till Friday when it started doing funny things like randomly receiving texts which were from old conversations. On saturday afternoon it lost all data by way of texts, call logs and emails that were over 24 hours old and in the last hour has lost everything over 6 hours old.I have all calls, texts and emails going into the messages list and have that set to save everything for ever so I can chose when to delete information.As I;m a consultant I need my call logs, texts and emails to work out my billing so this really is a pain.
View 9 Replies View Relatedi just purchased a replacement bb bold 9000 off ebay (it's an unlocked at&t handset that i bought after my bb bold got stolen... total bummer) and it was working fine all week up until last night when it stopped being able to handle incoming and outgoing calls and texts. The internet and email functions still work which is very peculiar. also some further info, when i put my sim card into another handset (in this case a nokia e65) all my normal call functions work and when i put another sim card in the bold the same thing happens (when i try to make a call it instantly pops up with a call failed warning). another thing is the bold shows full service coverage... currently the bold about shows... v4.6.0.304 (Platform 4.0.0.247) im on australia and for some reason i cant update the os to v5
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my shiny Galaxy S6 for nearly three weeks now. I bought it SIM free. Really loving the phone, but I've noticed that when I try to answer a call, the phone hangs-up instead. I have good signal and I can ring the person back immediately. At first I thought I was hanging up with my cheek, but it happened when I was in slow traffic in my car yesterday. The phone was sat in a mount, connected to Bluetooth. I used the car's controls to answer and had the same issue.
I've spoken to people who call me, and they say the call just ends with a beep, it doesn't go to voice mail. I've tested calling my S6 from another mobile and a land line and the problem happens every time.
If I tap reject, the call is sent to voice mail, so I'm not pressing the wrong button.
I've tried:
-Enabling/disabling single tap mode
-Enabling home key to answer calls
-Wiping the phone's cache partition using the Android system recovery menu
-Using a Bluetooth headset to answer calls
-Uninstalling Three InTouch, my network's Wi-Fi call app (I can answer calls if they come through this app)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not getting my text messages. Well, I get them, but very, very late if at all. I sent well wishes to people that night and received a barrage of responses about 8-12 hours later. Even when I text myself nothing happens. I've tried reflashing, playing with every setting I could and nothing.
The only way I can force them to me in is by dialing voicemail and texting myself while the call is active. THEN it works. I get my text immediately and whatever's been waiting in queue.
So I have this increasingly annoying issue with the emojis on my phone (Samsung Galaxy S6). I am able to use and see them in every app except messaging. I send emojis in a text, I can see them and so can the person receiving them. However, when they send emojis to me, I cannot see them, it just comes up as '??'. I have changed the input mode and tried all 3 modes (GSM alphabet, unicode and automatic) but none of them work. My Android version is 5.1.1 ....
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just recently made the transition from a Lumia 1020 Windows 8.1 phone to an S6. I have a 2010 Ford Focus with the Ford Sync system.
On my 1020, when connected to Bluetooth, I was able to have my texts read to me over my speakers and reply via hands free. I cannot for the life of me however get the S6 to replicate this behavior.
I can get the car to recognize texts, but they come across the text messaging system, which requires manipulation of the stereo, and response isn't entirely hands free.
I've tried using multiple suggestions, but haven't found anything that works. Is exist Android to work out of the box like my 1020 and my wife's iPhone 6+
I can get Bluetooth audio, but no hands free. I drive 60+ miles on a work commute. I've tried 3rd party apps, but they were slowing down my system and draining battery life horribly.
Giving me repeated texts, how can I stop this?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a GalaxyS5 running on 4.4.2 (the latest from my carrier) I've never been able to see emoji in texts. It didn't bother me until recently when it seems everyone has gotten on the emoji bandwagon.
I can send emoji and I can see them and everyone else can see them just fine but when they send them its just jibberish on my end.
I've tried a bunch of different apps with plugins and no dice. I've also scanned the phone through AVG and there's no virus.
I would like to recall deleted texts with galaxy s5 ???

I love my new phone, but I can't get any texts from iPhone users. iPhone users get my texts, but I don't get any from them. I know this probably has to do with their phones still trying to send my number iMessages instead of texts. I don't have the box or anything from my iPhone to get the serial number from it.
View 24 Replies View RelatedWhen I send a text it appears in the original conversation but when I get a response it's in an entirely new conversation with only their responses.....so it looks like I am talking to myself and so are they. It appears that the response number is altered and I am unable to respond in that conversation. It appears as area code 1(1562) instead of the proper 1(562). So somehow, somewhere an extra 1 is being added. I checked my contact info, and the number is listed as (562) so the phone itself is doing it (S5) could this be because of the recent software update? How do I fix it so i can have normal texting back?
