When trying to play back a video recorded on my phone, I get the error message "Unable to play video. File has incorrect data." I am trying to play it back with the stock video player. I have downloaded the MX player, and it will play back there, but not with the stock player. How to get it to play on the stock player?

Both videos show up in my video list with the correct duration but neither play. View 12 Replies View RelatedI record video using the camcorder app. I playback video and the audio has a high pitched whine / whistle or sound layered over the background audio. Sometimes the whine gets louder and sometimes lower but its aways there. Its very annoying sounding and seems like either feedback or interference or something. Anyone else experiencing this?I've tried various resolutions and zooming in and out, and lowering the volume all the way prior to entering the app (because you can't get any feedback on volume adjustment once in the app) and nothing i've tried seems to get rid of the sound. I have also tried the 3 "audio scenes" "Everyday" setting seems to be the worst, outdoors the best.

First, When I reboot, any app I've placed on a home screen that has been moved to the SD card/media area comes up as the default settings icon (blue gear icon) but appear correctly in the app drawer. Second, When I record video it is pixilated and choppy on play back with parts of the video actually missing. I understand we're all waiting for Gingerbread and bugs may exist but, to me, the video issue is a real problem because it basically means I can't count on video working and therefore have to use another device (go XOOM) for video recording.

Read somewhere on the internet that you have to delete DATA and clear CACHE on the Camera app, have not recorded any video since then, but will try to see if this works.

Like the volume automatically mutes itself randomly. And I would have to restart whatever media app I'm using and start over from where I left off. This only happens when I use headphones and I have tried several different ones. I usually use the in-ear samsung ones that came with the phone or my sony ones. Both are standard headphones. I don't have any wireless or bluetooth headphones. It never happens on loudspeaker.
It happens with media on my phone, sd card, whether I use WIFI, 4G , 3G or Flight Mode. It also happens when the phone is charging or using the battery.
I have done a soft reset, factory reset, and also removed every 3rd party media player app.
It doesn't happen when I play games or when I listen to music on the Music App.
Phone Model: SM G901F Apps affected: MX Player, VLC Player, Soundcloud, Youtube, Video Player.
This has been annoying me for the past several weeks, I've had a Galaxy Ace, Ace 2 and Mini 2, and never had this problem before. My brother has an S5 Mini, and we have the same 32GB sd model, and he has no problems with his phone. So it's not the memory card. I watch a lot of movies and stream a lot of tv shows, when I'm home and when I commute.
Does anyone know if you can set the video player to play one video at a time, rather than automatically playing the playlist continuously.

My phone has no problems recording video and the auto rotate function seems to work fine as well. However, if I take a video in portrait mode on my phone, transfer it to my windows 7 computer and play it, it plays in landscape mode (sideways). I've tried VLC player and windows media player and they both play portrait taken videos in landscape.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI recorded a 2 minute video with the BB without issues but when I tried to play it back, I received the message 'the media being played is of an unsupported format'.,The recorded video has a .3gp file extension, rather than an mp4, why? .3gp is not listed as a supported video file. the media card is a 32gb sdhc card I just formatted and saved music and pictures to without problems. What is happening here? Is the phone recording in a format that is cannot play? Can the video recording format be changed, say to mp4? I have no problems playing you tube videos etc., its only the recorded videos.
