Oct 23, 2015If i download an app which is 20MB it takes up about 3GB of space in my phone storage. Why this is happening.

Samsung Galaxy S II :: Kies Backup Filled Up PC
Jul 28, 2011I just tried to backup my phone on my PC using Kies. I excluded all the media files because I have them on my PC anyway, and not all that much spare space. However, then I started to get an error message that my PC was low on disk space.
I checked and my free hard drive space had gone from around 6GB to about 60 megs.
Does anyone know where the Kies backups are stored on my PC, so I can see if the backup was the culprit?

Apr 5, 2010I am using N97 rom 02-Aug-09. everything was working fine untill i notice tht my phone memory is getting filled up although i never installed any application & i hv set my default memory as mass memory from the very beginning. for nokia care in india the only solution is format/soft.update. moreover they couldn't even trace where the memory is occupying so that it could be set free.

Galaxy S6 :: Phone Battery Is Draining Fast
May 15, 2015I recently bought a GS6 and I love everything about the phone....except the battery! This is literally a deciding factor for me vs the iPhone 6.
I know it has a quad HD screen but my battery drains WHEN THE SCREEN IS OFF. My provider (T-Mobile) says one reason could be that I used all my data (T-Mobile just slows down your speeds). This can also mean it's constantly searching for a better signal. Sometimes I don't get reception indoors but usually my reception is good.
Now, I would understand if my battery was dropping IF I had the screen on, but it's not. It's dropping a percent every 2-3 minutes.
My data plan reloads in two days so I can see if it gets better but if not, I will be switching to an iPhone.

Oct 26, 2014I've been an iPhone user from the 3 to the 5S but decided to give the Android a shot and altho I like many of the phones features, the camera isn't producing pic's anywhere as good as my old iPhone 5S did ...
Stationary shots are fine, but I have 2 dogs and like to photograph them running around and doing their thing, and so far the S5 has been terrible with results. I've tried every setting on the phone. I've DL the 'Sports Shot' mode, but still all I get is a heap of blurry shots. In an hour at the local doggy park I'll take 50 - 60 shots and end up keeping 3 or 4 as the rest are blurred.
Now I REALLY want this phone to work for me, but as I say I'm not having much luck with pics, the video is fine, but yeah, not cutting it with the pictures...

I checked it and my apps are only using about 1.0gb, with data downloads, pictures and so on the phone say it's only using about 4gb but the rest of it says other 11.5gb. I cleaned the internet history, catch files, all calls in the log, and so on. I can't find what is burning up all my storage space. Is there some hidden stuff somewhere I have to clear or something. May 26, 2012After I upgraded to ICS on my Neo V, I noticed that my SD card was getting full without my doing anything. So I checked out in the file manager app what was taking up all the space and I found that in the DCIM there was a folder by the name of .thumbnails which I thought stores, well, the thumbmnails of course. It initially had 2 copies of every image on my phone and was taking up about 35 MB, so I deleted all the files. No issues there after. But the folder just keeps filling up with as many as 5 copies of every thumbnail, so I have to clear it when I start running out of space. The last time I deleted them, they were taking up about 60 MB of storage. This did not used to happen before I upgraded to ICS.

Feb 5, 2016I recently got a 128GB MicroSD card for my Lumia 950 (AT&T) and I ONLY have pictures on the card. I DO NOT even have the pictures in the "Pictures" folder because then the Photos app will never properly update/sync and I DO NOT use the card for Apps & Games but... Every time I check the storage in the Storage settings, it says I have 4GB of Apps & Games data on the card. I check later and it says 7GB of Apps & Games data is on the card. I still have my phone as the default save location for everything. And so I go into that section to see if I can delete anything but it shows nothing to delete. And it keeps increasing. And it continues until it takes up the rest of the space on the card and can't fit anymore data. YES, I know Windows 10 is an unfinished product.
