My fast charger isn't working, it says the same amount of time left as a normal charger. When it's plugged in though, it still says Fast Charging in my notifications. I've tried all the troubleshooting such as making sure it's plugged in fully, I swapped and got a replacement (problem still happens), etc. I know this is brought up a lot but I can't find any people who have had this problem with similar characteristics

Just went to plug it in and it said six hours until fully charged. Thought it was just because it was at 6% and need some more power or something to start the fast charge? Doesn't seem so. I tried different wall outlets and it's still not fast charging. I am using the charger that came with the phone. It's charging so incredibly slow.

It just keeps the phone at the same charge level, but never actually charges the phone. I know the charger works, because if I'm not using Google Maps, the phone charges as expected. I'm using a 3rd party quick charger, but that shouldn't matter.

I got the phone last Thursday, started futzing around with it on Friday, and set up the stock Sense 5 TV App. I put in my postal code (Canadian), picked my provider (Bell East) and set up my TV and surround receiver. Everything works manually by physically punching in the three digit number to change channels but the "auto channel selector" seems to zip along a little to fast for my receiver to recognize any more than a number or two.
For example channel 600 is HGTV and all I see is a "0" pop up after a second or two. What I'm looking for is an easy to use "wife friendly" app that has a Canadian guide that is push-button friendly and that I can input a delay into to actually be able to use the IR blaster as a remote...
So far I've tried the native TV App and Dijit. I don't mind paying for apps but my two minimum requirements are a guide feature and capability of delay..
I need to find a good App that evaluates how well various chargers/USB cords are charging the G4 but haven't found one yet. The "Galaxy Charging Current" App worked well with my S4, but doesn't play well with the G4. I've also tried several at the top of the Play Store list (Ampere, OPO Charging Current) but most give very erratic mAh readings.

It must come from the AC-15E charger shipped with the phone, since I tried the AC-8E charger from my previous phone (a C5-00 5MP) and the charging then worked. Yet before sending the phone back to the seller, I would like to be sure that the shipped charger is just faulty and that it does not come from anything else.
Did anybody have a similar problem with the 701?
Charging on mains is working fine, also on the usb of the laptop, but in my car not.I tried with the same car charger (nokia) on another mobile, then it worked.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have noticed on a number of occasions that I have plugged my Xoom into the charger, and come back to find that it was not being charged. Unplugging the Xoom from the end of the charger made no difference, but unplugging the charger from the mains supply and plugging it in again seems to work. This does NOT happen if you plug the Xoom charger into the mains supply, then attach the Xoom, but only if the Xoom charger has been left plugged into the mains for a while without the Xoom being attached.I think this behaviour is by DESIGN - it appears that the Xoom charger switches off internally if left connected to the mains (but NOT connected to the Xoom) for a while. Disconnecting it from, and reconnecting it to, the mains "reboots" the charger, and it works again. This is a good idea, as it decreases the power consumption of the unit (I'm afraid I have loads of non-connected power chargers left plugged into the mains).

I tried switching to a regular charger but no difference. I recently bought a GS6 and I love everything about the phone....except the battery! This is literally a deciding factor for me vs the iPhone 6.
I know it has a quad HD screen but my battery drains WHEN THE SCREEN IS OFF. My provider (T-Mobile) says one reason could be that I used all my data (T-Mobile just slows down your speeds). This can also mean it's constantly searching for a better signal. Sometimes I don't get reception indoors but usually my reception is good.
Now, I would understand if my battery was dropping IF I had the screen on, but it's not. It's dropping a percent every 2-3 minutes.
My data plan reloads in two days so I can see if it gets better but if not, I will be switching to an iPhone.

My phone gets hot to the touch when fast charging, but after a while, it cools back down. Usually when it gets closer to finishing it gets cool again. And should I be worried about it heating up? I rarely fast charge for fear that the heat will cause damage
