Galaxy S6 :: Why Has Fast Charging Stopped Working
Oct 16, 2015
This has happened 3rd time...1st time i gave to service center they took 2 days and changed "sub unit" of charging...with in 2 days this was 2nd time it stopped working again i had to again submit mine cell n they gave me after 12 to 14 days.......this is mine 3rd time It has been 4 months this is happening 3rd time again
I've had my edge for a few days now and everything has worked fine. Today however, fast charging is not working. Just went to plug it in and it said six hours until fully charged. Thought it was just because it was at 6% and need some more power or something to start the fast charge? Doesn't seem so. I tried different wall outlets and it's still not fast charging. I am using the charger that came with the phone. It's charging so incredibly slow.
When I use an older, slower charger for my GS6 overnight, my battery usually lasts all day, unless under HEAVY use of video or music. However, when I use the Fast Charging cord that was boxed with my GS6, it seems to charge to 100% at lightning speed, but then seems to lose power 5 times faster the next day. I may barely use my phone for <10 minutes during the day, and it is down to 10% by 5pm! So, fast charging = faster battery loss? I'm not seeing an upside to the Fast Charging, at all.
My phone is working pefect before but from last one month appox its fast charging is not working, it is taking around 4-5 hours to charge completely. I tried Formating and software repair with PC Suit but nothing works.
My phone gets hot to the touch when fast charging, but after a while, it cools back down. Usually when it gets closer to finishing it gets cool again. And should I be worried about it heating up? I rarely fast charge for fear that the heat will cause damage
I added the wireless charging antenna NeWisdom® from amazon and it worked well with my different qi chargers including Itian A6 Qi Three Coils Wireless Charging Pad with 5V from amazon for couple of months.
Last week i used the fast charger that comes with a nexus 6 and since then wireless charging stopped working for me ( i tried multiple wireless chargers CHOE UPGRADED Qi Wireless Charger Charging Pad from amazon). Even worse using the cable directly from the wireless charger i referred above does not work ( other charger cables i have seem to work ok when i plug them in).
I got the 3.1 OTA update yesterday afternoon on my WiFi Xoom, but since then, the Xoom won't charge. When plugged in, the charging indicator doesn't light and the battery icon in the notification area doesn't indicate charging. Charging worked fine before the update. What I've tried so far to no avail:
Different outlets Wiggling the connector Power off/on Factory reset
Unfortunately, I don't have another charger to try.Given that a factory reset didn't fix it and others aren't reporting this issue, I'm guessing that it's just a conincidence that charging died after the update and something is broken either in the charger or the Zoom's charging circuitry.
My fast charger isn't working, it says the same amount of time left as a normal charger. When it's plugged in though, it still says Fast Charging in my notifications. I've tried all the troubleshooting such as making sure it's plugged in fully, I swapped and got a replacement (problem still happens), etc. I know this is brought up a lot but I can't find any people who have had this problem with similar characteristics
I brought a Samsung wireless charger. The first few days, it worked flawlessly, but today when putting the phone on at 27%, when it hit around 85-90%, it started saying "Wireless charging have stopped" even tho it still charges. It's annoying, cause the screen light up, it vibrates and I get notification about it, but it starts charging right after?
Do you think this is a phone or wireless charger problem? Also, will this hurt my battery in any way? I mean if I leave it overnight, would it hurt the battery that the battery start charging, stopping again and then start again? This is around every sec or so.
My phone stopped charging when turned on. When off & plugged in the charging icon appears every 8 seconds & stays on screen for 5 seconds. It takes OVER 24 HRS to get a full charge which then is drained completely within the hour. I have purchased multiple charging cords & used many different outlets. There is NO water damage, however, since day 1 of purchasing this s5 it CONSTANTLY OVER HEATS to the point I cant hold it until I turn it off or do the 'cooler'.
My bold stopped working a few weeks ago, At first i thought it was the battery, Bought a new battery nothing happened. Next i thought it was the Charger, Bought a new one still nothing happened . Someone told me that the USB port was probably broken, And i can't get it fixed by tmobile cause the bold is a AT&T Phone . So a friend of mine told me to buy a charger dock on Amazon/Ebay , And the Phone will charge i just won't be able to put stuff on my phone through my Computer . Can anyone clarify that if i buy the dock it will work?, Also if it doesnt work at this point what should i do?
Last week I bought a S2 and the charging from the mains has been fine. I bought another S2 for my wife, and she put this on charge in the bedroom but after a few seconds of putting on charge the charge stopped and it said 'Battery Disconnected'. Tried with my charge which was plugged in and worked OK with mine and it said the same. Tried the charger in a different plug socket in another room and the phone didn't show the message and charged ok overnight. My phone charges OK from the bedroom, but the other doesn't, but it charges ok elsewhere so it can't be any issue with the plug sockets.
I have an Iphone 4s that was purchased a few months ago. The charging cable all of a sudden would not charge my phone and I noticed there is a burn mark on the inside of the plug that goes into my phone. Is this cable covered under applecare plus warranty and should I be worried there is a problem with my phone?
Just got the G4 last night and I bought a quick charger 2.0, but just wondering if there is a way to know that it is fast charging. Should it say so on the screen? I remember my buddy's Gflex 2 saying it, but mine doesn't.
The screen on my samsung s6 has for no reason just stoped working. Ive tried turning it on and off but nothing happens although the blue light is still flashing constantly.
I have a samsung galaxy s6(sm-G920F) on 5.1.1 non rooted, the problem i am facing is that the lte stopped working without any reason, I didn't drop it neither i updated anything it just stopped working now i only see the E sign on the network bar.
I bought my Galaxy S6 yesterday and when I try to launch the Facebook app, it closes and there is a message saying "Unfortunately, Facebook has stopped.". I can log into my account but I cannot use it. I've seen many people complaining about this same error with other apps, but I couldn't solve my problem. I've already tried to uninstall it, to clear cache and data but nothing seems to work. The app doesn't open even on safe mode.
I woke up this morning and tried making a call so I hit the green dial app icon and instantly get the message:'Unfortunately Contacts has stopped working.. and it closes it'
I am pretty IT savvy so I googled the heck out of the issue. Here are the things I have tried. I started by going into Settings > Storage > Applications and cleared Data/Cache of several contacts related apps.I disabled the Google + app completely.I disabled all contacts syncing of all accounts and re-enabled.I made sure all apps are fully updated, even though when the problem first started all apps were out of date. Additionally, firmware is fully updated. Finally, I held volume up, power, and home button and wiped android cache partition.
My battery life really sucks, I have it on only 1EV, no gps, no wifi, and min apps and I still only get like a day of full battery with moderate use. My battery also charges from basically dead to full in like an hour or 2. I'm running .428 on my 9550, should I try to see what verizon can do? or can I do something on my end you think?
I am using Xperia Neo for more than a year. The battery was fine, it usually lasted for 1.5 days with my usual use. Suddenly since 2-3 days, I notified that my battery was going down way faster than before and the phone temperature was much warmer.Battery hardly lasted for a day and it was going down even when in sleep.Last night I gave a full charge, disconnected it from the charger and went to bed. I also installed a 'Auto task killing app' to check whether it improves the battery life. In the morning I found that there was no charge in the phone. I tried to charge it, but its not charging, the red light is not coming up. Its not even detected or charged when I connect it to my laptop. The main changes that happened within last 2-3 days- 1) I updated Facebook app2) I installed a battery saver app, but uninstalled it3) Last night I installed a auto ask killer
I have installed a custom rom on my samsung s6, so far I like it but I am still testing it.I came a few errors and would like to know how to fix them.
When I go to gallery on a video and click the editor, i get an error "gallery has stopped working"When I go to settings>fingerprints, I get the following error "attention an error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor, if this message persists repeatedly, restart your device"...
This was working fine, and now all of a sudden, probably after an update, it stopped. I cannot get the phone to even begin a USB connection to my PC, only charges. I've tried fiddling with every setting imaginable. Incredible frustrating that the simplest things will not work on this phone.
I have a Samsung Galaxy s6 and I am new to android. today I did an update and I am having trouble with my contacts, it is telling me that contacts have stopped working and I'm unable to make calls via my contacts. my messages are no longer showing up with names and just a number. I have cleared the cache and data and I still have no joy
