Motorola Droid Bionic :: Support Simultaneous Voice And Data?
Sep 19, 2012I have been reading articles about the new iphone and the ability to talk and surf at the same time. It seems that the new iPhone 5 will not be able to do this on Verizon and Sprint. This would really effect any one who may use hot spot sharing. Maybe I am just reading into this to much, or is this a possible move to keep iPhone off the VZW and S off there networks because it is a data hog? I just seems like a step back wards. I hope this doesn't move over to the android phones. It sounds like it may just be a limitation of the new iPhone's ability to work on several different networks, but don't you think a new device would have that covered? Just one more reason not to move over to Apple. I will keep my bionic as long as I can, and then purchase another android. After playing with some new phones the other day like the SIII, I think I will still be getting another Motorola when the time comes. The Motorola phone just flows better IMHO. [URL]

I'm considering purchasing a lapdock, but I'll hold off if the next version (which is promised within the coming months) doesnt support the webtop application. I'm hoping they will atleast add in webtop 3.0 which is currently on ICS, but I'm not sure if thats compatible or doable.

Dec 8, 2011When connecting my Droid Bionic to my laptop via USB cable for charging purposes, the phone will charge very slowly. I have left the Bionic on the cable for 3 1/2 to 4 hours and only see an increase in the charge of the phone of about 10%. I have installed the Motorola mobile drivers, and still no better performance. I have used multiple cables, and tried different USB ports to see if ther was any change. I have attempted while the laptop is conneced to power, and when it is running off battery, no difference.

Oct 28, 2011I'm at work posting on the bionic so making this short. I let my phone charge over night with oem wall charger i unplug it to go to the gym. Well i usually turn the lights on in my room. This morning i did not as i unplugged the bionic the backlight light up dimly. I let it sit i finally got tired of testing it the backlight stayed on indefinitely. I let it sit 5 min still on i have to push power button to wake and again to lock. So i was wondering if anyone noticed this it can drain battery i sometimes put phone in gym bag after charging without waking phone.

Sep 10, 2011I've ordered two Bionics - they havent arrived yet, but I've read two reports online that only the Moto wall charger works effectively for charging the phone. One person in particular couldn't get the phone past 40% charge without switching to the Moto charger.
This makes me think the myriad micro-USB cables and chargers I have at home, in my car, and at work (where I usually charge via USB) aren't going to work w/my Bionic, including a charging station/organizer I have conveniently located in my kitchen.
Motorola Droid Bionic :: Battery Dock Not Fully Charging Batteries?
Sep 24, 2011I got the battery dock on launch day.this morning I realized the battery issues I've been having are due to the dock not fully charging any of the batteries I have put into it! The dock charges them to 90% most of the time--even if they are in the charger for over 9 hours. I just discovered this problem this morning after removing an extended battery after 9 hours of charge, to find it only at 90%. I had the same issue the first day I bought the extended battery and had to complete the charge inside the phone. I also had been having trouble getting the standard batteries fully charged.
I'm going to exchange it at Verizon this morning, but I'm wondering if a new one will be any better.I use a Battery Indicator widget which shows the voltage--that helps me determine precisely how much charge is in each battery. The battery dock barely gets the batteries charged up to 4.1 volts, and sometimes less.they should be charged more than that, along with showing "100%" on the phone's status, of course.

Nov 28, 2011Does anyone know of any surefire way to transfer files to and from the Bionic to a windows 7 PC?
I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
Motorola Droid Bionic :: Bionic Apps Cannot Get Data Connection
Nov 17, 2011Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).

At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?

However, I can't find a way to do this on the Bionic. There's no option in accounts > Gmail. I HATE having the emails strung together like they were text messages. One of the major issues is losing attachments (ex: photos) in earlier emails once additional ones have been added to the "thread."

Spoke to the developer of Freecaddie and he checked and it is suppose to save courses to SD but Bionic saves to Internal Memory. With My Tracks even when I pick "Save to SD card" is saves it to Internal Memory. What is up with that and is there a way to correct it?I know my SD card is working because I have moved pics and music to it without a problem.

Dec 8, 2015When I use an older, slower charger for my GS6 overnight, my battery usually lasts all day, unless under HEAVY use of video or music. However, when I use the Fast Charging cord that was boxed with my GS6, it seems to charge to 100% at lightning speed, but then seems to lose power 5 times faster the next day. I may barely use my phone for <10 minutes during the day, and it is down to 10% by 5pm! So, fast charging = faster battery loss? I'm not seeing an upside to the Fast Charging, at all.

Dec 6, 2012I was in Europe a few weeks ago with my Verizon RAZR HD running ICS. In the US on VZW's network I can easily get through the day with greater than 50% battery, While in Europe, in Germany, Switzerland and the UK, the battery was draining at a tremendous rate and would be depleted in about 4hrs. Nothing changed as far as usage, app's or other obvious things on my end to cause the issue. Any idea on what it could be? Prior 3G phones didn't suffer from this while roaming in these same countries.

Mar 13, 2015I've had the Droid Turbo for a few months now, and the battery life has been great. It was the biggest reason I bought this phone in the first place. Over the past two days, however, the battery life has DRAMATICALLY downgraded. At 11 p.m. last night, I had 58% battery life with no apps running. The phone was in sleep mode. That much battery should have been able to get me through last night and ALL of TODAY. This morning, I check my phone, and I'm at 22% with the phone not in use for 8 hours.
All of the bells and whistles on this device are turned off. I don't have the reach out display thing turned on where it recognizes your movement. The screen is only taking up 30% of the battery draw. I have the bare minimum notifications turned on - the rest are off. My system did NOT update within the last two days. The battery simply seems to be freaking out.

Sep 13, 2011I believe, perhaps incorrectly, especially with unlimited data going away on launch day for this phone, that this is a ploy to force users into higher data usage by forcing them to stream the same content over verizons network. I would love to be proven wrong on this point, and see some official radio support from moto, but this is the only thing that makes sense to me. mu $.02.
