I've had my iPhone 4 memory fill up with 19GB of "other" memory within a week. I just restored it to the factory settings, and put back only a few songs, pictures and a few selective apps. Yet within 24 hours I have 7GB of "other" memory. How do I correct this?

just got new iphone 4s running 16gb. I have few applications(facebook,bible,webster dictionary) and games( 5 )installed and around 120 pictures and 3 short videos . Im wondering why the memory went down to 4.8gb? How could it happened ?

I am using N97 rom 02-Aug-09. everything was working fine untill i notice tht my phone memory is getting filled up although i never installed any application & i hv set my default memory as mass memory from the very beginning. for nokia care in india the only solution is format/soft.update. moreover they couldn't even trace where the memory is occupying so that it could be set free.

So I checked out in the file manager app what was taking up all the space and I found that in the DCIM there was a folder by the name of .thumbnails which I thought stores, well, the thumbmnails of course. It initially had 2 copies of every image on my phone and was taking up about 35 MB, so I deleted all the files. No issues there after. But the folder just keeps filling up with as many as 5 copies of every thumbnail, so I have to clear it when I start running out of space. The last time I deleted them, they were taking up about 60 MB of storage. This did not used to happen before I upgraded to ICS.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just tried to backup my phone on my PC using Kies. I excluded all the media files because I have them on my PC anyway, and not all that much spare space. However, then I started to get an error message that my PC was low on disk space.
I checked and my free hard drive space had gone from around 6GB to about 60 megs.
Does anyone know where the Kies backups are stored on my PC, so I can see if the backup was the culprit?
I recently got a 128GB MicroSD card for my Lumia 950 (AT&T) and I ONLY have pictures on the card. I DO NOT even have the pictures in the "Pictures" folder because then the Photos app will never properly update/sync and I DO NOT use the card for Apps & Games but... Every time I check the storage in the Storage settings, it says I have 4GB of Apps & Games data on the card. I check later and it says 7GB of Apps & Games data is on the card. I still have my phone as the default save location for everything. And so I go into that section to see if I can delete anything but it shows nothing to delete. And it keeps increasing. And it continues until it takes up the rest of the space on the card and can't fit anymore data. YES, I know Windows 10 is an unfinished product.

my iphone 3gs only have 8 standard apps. my other standard apps got deleted after i got the message: the iphone do not have enough memory, you can manage the memory in settings. with 2 options: ok and settings.so i pressed settings, but the phone didn't go to settings it rebooted instead and when it started it only had these 8 apps: newsstand, voice memos, videos, stocks, reminders, weather, Internet and settings.

Having great fun in doing so but not always given the option of where to save them to with the end result that they are saving to the phone memory which keeps filling up and then giving me an error message. Can anyone please tell me how to move apps from the phone memory to the card memory. And can anyone also tell me if I have an icon on the 'Menu' screen and the 'Apps' screen, does this mean the application has been downloaded twice and do I need both or can I delete one (presumably the 'Menu' one)?

To me this is a no brainer, most of us have 16 or 32gig cards, I would be more than happy to set aside some space so the phone could run better. Most of the new flash cards these days are reasonably fast and could easily be used as a swap file place holder or reside some of the dormitory features.

All is well except when i connect to PC via USB cable and select 'Mass Storage' I get the message 'Memory Store Unavailable' on my phone and cannot access the contents of my memory card. My address book takes up quite a bit of memory; so does my calendar -- both of which were synced from Outlook. Is there any way to have the addresses/calendar data stored onto my microSD instead of the device memory?
Lastly, I noticed that when I call people using my Curve, it shows up on their caller ID as "private name, private number." Where can I change this setting? Is it in my provider's settings (which I can access online) or on the BlackBerry's settings somewhere? Also, is it possible to at least NOT have it show private when calling those on my address book, such as friends & relatives?

Obviously I need a new phone but unfortunately my contacts are saved to the phone, not the sim. Could somebody please spell out how to move all contacts from phone memory to Sim memory, bearing in mind that I basically can't read what's on the screen. In other words, if I have to scroll down, please say how many times I have to press down and so on.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have come to 'Memory Low ' error message and have a question about that.I am not using additional applications, just default ones.I am not using mail.I clean web cache.What I have though is a lot of Saved Pages. As I noticed that my memory is geting low, I deleted my music using File manager and deleted some Saved pages. Problem is that used memory is still the same like it was before I deleted the files. I suppose that my deleted files gone to recycle bin or something like that? How can I REALY delete it (without reset)? And another question: Is there a way to save (transfer) 'Saved Pages' to memory card?
