Galaxy S6 :: How To Sort App Drawer Alphabetically
Aug 3, 2015I was able to do this in the Galaxy S4, but now it's gone. Since I did a restore of my previous phone's backup, all apps installed in a random order - and that's how my app list is now sorted.
How can I sort that alphabetically? I can live with manual sort (I've seen people speaking of the "A-Z" button in the app drawer, but I don't have it), automatic would be better.

Apr 19, 2015With the recent purchase of my S6 edge I'm new to android and have some quick questions.
First, is there any way to sort the app drawer alphabetically? When I click on edit the only option I get is to disable or uninstall apps.
Secondly, I recently read a tip somewhere that said to reboot into safe mode and then restart to normal. This would improve battery life. Not sure if this is the cause but I did see an improvement after that. Anyway, I also noticed that apps in the app drawer are now scattered across 6 screens with some containing only 1 or 2 icons.

Apr 4, 2015my S6 Edge's phone app's Favorites, it does NOT have an order alphabetically option! For example, say i have 30 Favorites, and it self populated due to that Samsung app called.SmartSwitch or something like that, it transferred via bluetooth from my S5 to my S6 Edge most of the
settings, wallpaper, etc.Well, believe it or not, those 30 favorite contacts are NOT in alphabetical order! There is only an edit function called Re-Order, where YOU must re-order it yourself! So, it's a little like a puzzle, where you'd have to move almost all of your 30 favorite contacts in order to put them in alphabetical order!! that can't be true, right? (i.e. lacking a "put in alphabetical order" option).

Apr 22, 2015I can't seem to sort my apps that I have downloaded to "Alphabetical order" in my S6. I just cannot find this feature. Now it has just the "Edit" function on the top right hand corner. On S5 & Note Edge It has a 3 dot icon on the top right hand corner & if you press that it will show all the functions like "Sort by."

This will be a deal breaker for me if it can't be done as I can do it on my Note 4.

I can get to the settings menu for contacts (Contacts app, three-dots-menu, Settings), but I only have options for import/export and swipe to dial. NO SORT.

Aug 4, 2011I notice a new type of storage is introduced called USB Storage. I expect this is the equivalent of the internal SD card of the old SGS. Now when I click on the "Move to SD" button on any of the apps, I get the message "Failed to move application: Not enough memory"
My USB storage currently has 11.42GB. So can onyone shed light as to where I am going wrong here?
And what is the logic of Samsung changing internal SD storage into USB Storage?

Mar 17, 2010I have been having a blast exploring and customizing my 9700 over the past few days and last night installed a 16GB microsd and began the process of transferring some of my music to the device via the Blackberry Media Sync app on my pc. Transfer went just fine and all files show up on the card, however when I use the Media Player on the device and select by "Album" or "Artist" the tracks are listed alphabetically rather than by track number. It's not a huge deal except when I want to listen to a particular album in track order (The Wall is just made to played that way, isn't it? ). I have looked around for a menu option or something to list by track, but have had no luck. Does anyone here know how to do this? Also, if I connect to my pc via "Mass Storage Mode" and drill down to the album folder in question the track number shows up in the windows explorer folder and all my mp3 files are saved in a "Track Number" - "Songname".mp3 format.

I do not require these but I do not have the option to delete them - all I can do for now is move them to a new folder which I have called 'Unused apps'. Can anyone shed any light on how I can remove these apps and therefore free up more memory.

Jan 26, 2010I bought my nokia n900 around 10 days back, works absolutely fantastic, gives me atleast 14-15hrs or battery life. yesterday i installed a couple of applications like MYMENU and MYTUBE. i checked it then and there and did not find it very good. so i uninstalled it. after that i cannot find 'MORE' option which is at the right bottom of the menu screen. dont know what to do know. even if i tap on the empty space at the right bottom it comes up to my dashboard.
