Does your Nexus 6P have an option to enable video stabilization on camera setting? My friend has the option on his Nexus 6p but mine hasn't. We got exactly same model.
I just got my S5 and I am trying to set things up. Can some one tell me how to find Picture Stabilization in the camera settings? From what I have read its best to turn this off to take quicker shot. The problem is I cant find that in the settings section.
I have a Sprint Galaxy s6. I want to turn off the shutter sound but there is no option in the camera settings to turn it off. As soon as my kids hear that sound they immediately stop whatever they are doing.
Where should I send information about SERIOUS issue of new Lollipop on XPERIA Z3? Since last update from Kitkat the SteadyShot stabilization for video doesnt work (intelligent mode works standard). Previously great videos are now shaky and simply ugly. Probably Ill have to sell my Z3 if there will be no patch. Im filmaker who needs good video quality in his smartphone.
Can't seem to find it after the update and other users have also reported the same. Why was it removed? Â Or does this mean that there's no need since by default, the Z5 already has a hardware stabilization mechanism (closed-loop actuator) in place?
I want to turn the HDR to on in the camera , but I couldn't . I tapped on the HDR to turn it on but it doesn't. Why? I'm using the manual settings on my camera.
The settings are : Flash off - Resolution 15.5MP(16:9) - Self-timer  off  -  Smile Shutter  off - Focus mode  Touch focus - HDR  is off and won't turn on  - ISO  Auto - Metering  Center - Image stabilizer off - Preview  3  seconds  Â
Quick launch  Launch only - Geotagging  off - Touch capture  off - Use Volume key as  Zoom - Sound  on - Data storage  SD card - Touch Block deactivated. These are my manual settings for the camera .

I've a problem in z2 whenever i use time shift video mode the camera turn much darker than the normal video mode in same light condition .. I tried alot of times but the results are the same....
So i recently found out how to change the video quality on youtube... but is there anyway to make a default setting for it? Rather than having to change the setting on every video...
Is there anyway to change the settings on the video player?
Here is my proplem. when i select the video icon (the one that looks like a film strip) and start playing the video plays but then after it is done it plays the next one right after the one i played.
Is there a way to change the settings so it plays only the video i select?
When I look a user manuals or advice columns for my S6 I see that I am missing many camera function/settings. I have only a flash, mode, alternate front or back, camera, video buttons. Is this something I can change?
I just got my new galaxy s6 today and so far everything is good but I can't however access camera settings when I go into camera and click settings it crashes and just goes back to where I would take a picture I've already tried restarting the phone and even clearing cache and my phone is up to date.
Is there any way we can save our settings on the camera app once we close it? It keeps coming back to default settings once i quit the app and re-launch it. I need to re-adjust again especially the mode, ISO, metering mode. etc,
If not, any alternative app which can fiddle with ISO settings?
All manuals refer to the cogwheel on the main camera screen for all the settings and indeed on all sites I see such a cogwheel on the pics..However, I don't have one on my brand new S5....
I open the camera on the Galaxy S6 Edge by pressing the camera icon. The camera screen appears, and at the top of the camera screen is the settings gearwheel icon along with Auto, Off, HDR On and Effect. But, when tapping the settings gearwheel icon the Camera Settings menu appears for a fraction of a second before the screen reverts. I can't get at the Camera Settings no matter how many times I try; the menu is on for an instant - then gone, and the screen is as before.
I've noticed that the front facing camera on my S6 will not focus on my face if I try to take a picture. The rear camera is wonderful, and I've looked at the front camera on a friend's S6 and it was fine. So it just seems to be my phone. Otherwise, I love it and think it's great.
I have a rooted AT&T S6 and was using Tasker normally, but I decided to clean up/freeze some more system apps, and then I ran into a problem. For some reason, accessibility settings for Tasker become disabled and when I tried to re-enable them, I was prompted with this error message: "Error: "Turn on universal switch. Universal switch does not support the current system language. The text-to-speech language will be set to null, but this might cause unexpected behavior". After hitting "Ok", it would say settings has crashed.
I fixed this by unfreezing Samsung text-to-speech engine. Afterwards, the message about Universal Switch never came up again. This is just an FYI if cannot enable any accessibility settings due to settings has crashed.
Ive been online and on the phone with samsung sense the day I got my S6 regarding the auto start (auto record) on the Video camera. on my S3 and S4 the option was always there to hit the record button after selecting video mode, on the S6, select video mode and boom it automatically starts recording. I could list off the 100 reasons why this is not good, but a few of the key ones are.. How does samsung expect us to be aimed and ready to go as soon as we hit video mode ?
When im shooting a video I like to get aimed up, positioned right and make sure im in good lighting and so on. just a few days ago I tried to get a quick video of an Eagle swooping down for a fish, amazing to see, by the time I hit video mode and acutally got him in the view of the camera I realized I was badly out of focus and the light would have made the video horrible. thats a spur of the moment shot, I understand that, not everything is going to be perfect.
However, I was recently at a birthday party for a 90 year old friend of the family, it was evening time with fading light, I had to select the camera mode and then stop the recording process 6 times before I was arragned in such a way that the light was ok and the image was clear and I could get the video of the cake and candles. this wouldnt have happened if the video didnt auto start, even on my old S3, you selected video, it got itself in focus then you hit the record button, so simple and easy. I could move the phone around to adjust for lighting or other variables for disturbing the quality of the Video.
why make a video auto start ?
as of 10 minutes ago Samsung still said they had no plans to change the software to disable the auto record.
I suggest, for the people who dont like it, so vote on here and pass it to Samsung, There is power in numbers. I like having the ability to have a video camera in my pocket at all times. but to have it auto record as soon as I select it, it just a stupid and pointless way of having it.
do you like the auto start ? do you hate the auto start ?
Is there any possible way to use another smartphone as a remote video monitor for my samsung galaxy s5 video camera. I want to shoot something where I wont be able to operate the camera really, so I wanted to know if there was a way to view what my camera sees through another phone and possibly to control as well through bluetooth or wifi, much like a gopro.
