Samsung Galaxy S II :: Gmail Contacts Vs. Phone Contacts List When Texting?
Nov 24, 2011Love the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!

Mar 31, 2015I use gmail for my contacts. I noticed when I got my new S5 and logged into gmail some of my contacts had photos and some did not. When I went into edit contact on my desktop there was a photo that I had put in there before.
I checked to make sure that my phone was using my gmail acount for my contacts and it is.

Feb 7, 2010I recently shot a video using the camera on the Iphone 3GS. It was over 7 mins long and its 198 MB! This is not a desirable size since i wish to upload it, so i was wondering if anyone can tell me a FREE software which i can use to compress it and maintain the same quality. By the way i am using the 27" Imac so any software should be for mac.

Mar 29, 2012When copying wav files to the iPhone4 it always compressed to AAC automatically. After a restore to original settings it now copies the wav files uncompressed. Import is set to AAC but it makes no difference. iTunes 10.5.3.3. Have the same issue with iPod Touch.

Sep 16, 2015 I just switched from an iPhone to a Galaxy S6. I am loving the phone and everything about it...except the texting app notifications. Coming from the iphone I really liked how I could keep the content of the text private, but it would show me who sent it. I also had the notification pop up in the middle of the lock screen and turn the screen on momentarily, and then I could swipe the notification to the right to open it in the texting app.
For the life of me, I can't find an app that will do exactly that. I really liked that feature. I don't want a quick response window to reply from the lock screen.

May 12, 2015Some of the texts come straight through to the group text while others go to the individual person's text and I have to hit a download button, then once it downloads it goes to the group text. However, some never download and just expire. If I've been gone for awhile it's kind of annoying to go through and click download on each text that didn't go to group.

So I end up rewriting the tx message 5 more times and have to send it in groups of 10 recipients in my "workmates" group.Is there a way of sending it to all 50 in one go and save the tediousness of rewriting the tx message. I can't even work out a way of "copying and pasting" the original tx message to save time that way.

Jul 13, 2015I have the international SM-G920I version of the S6, running the latest 5.1.1 update.Recently, it has started giving me issues in the Google Photos app. I am unable to back up any photos. When I go open the app and go to the Assistant tab, it always shows "Backing up 1 item out of XX".
When I go to the "Backup & Sync" settings of the app, I get constant toast notifications saying "Backing up 1 out of XX". I factory reset my phone and tried again, however the issue persists. I am able to upload photos onto Google Photos using my computer, so it does not seem to be an issue in my Google account.

May 24, 2015I have a Galaxy S6 Edge, and I am having an issue with viewing photos on the phone. When I view photos with the Photos app (google plus photos app), zooming in does not reveal any additional detail and the photo looks very blurry. When I use the built in Gallery app, however, I can zoom in and see very crisp detail in the image. I know it isn't an issue with the image itself, because I can view it fine in the Gallery app. Even in the Photos app, if I view the details of the image, it shows the full resolution of the image, but when I zoom in the photo is very blurry.
