Is this an issue or a feature? Since I started using the S6 I noticed that the scrolling down on big webpages feels stuck and laggy, it's not smooth as it was in the G2.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI don't know if I'm the only one but for some reason my s6 is lagging like crazy when scrolling down emoji it's not smooth at all and I don't remember how it was when I got it but I know that it stays the same no matter what rom or kernel. Otherwise the phone is very smooth and fast especially on custom kernels and Roms even the benchmark shows nothing unusual.

They are great when i first get them, then within the first 2 months, they pretty much turn into crap. The UI isnt smooth, things take a while to open, apps dont transition to another smoothly, opening texts,, going back and forth between texts and apps arent the best and i constantly get problems to the point i need to do a warranty exchange with tmobile.
Even with a rooted phone i experience the same. Whenever i test out my friends iphone, everything seems to be super quick and fluid, just not customizable and limited to what you can do..What can i do to improve my phone or this is just how these galaxies are?
I have the AT&T 32GB variant.
I noticed that sometimes (actually, somewhat frequently) the animation to open the app drawer is a little choppy and laggy. And then the actual app drawer (swiping left and right) also has slightly choppy animation as it moves from each page of apps.
This goes away if you press home, and then return back to the app drawer.
I've been having a bizzare issue with my Blackberry 8900. Basically, the trackball will just stop scrolling and I can't move anywhere. But the trackball itself doesn't feel physically stuck, it moves the same as always, but it won't move on the screen. It does, however, let me select still using the trackball. The menus aren't frozen, it's just a scrolling issue.
I've tried re-installing the software and have the most recent update available. I've tried restoring it to factory settings, but it's no good. The problem is intermittent - about 90% of the time it's frozen. The only thing I've discovered to remedy it is a battery and sim pull - this worked for a while, and I was able to use the phone as normal, but it stop scrolling and need a sim pull approx every 24 hours. Now that doesn't even work. I gave up trying to use it and put my sim in my old Blackberry, but turned my 8900 on anyway (simless) and it worked! I thought it was a fluke at first, but I've been trying it all week - keeping my phone on, simless, and noting that it works all the time - no problems at all. Occasionally I'll try putting my sim back in my 8900 and sure enough it breaks again. So I started to suspect there was an issue with the sim. I called up Orange and got them to send me out a new one, just in case that was the issue. They've done that, it's all registered, but still I'm having the same problem - it won't let me scroll when there's an active sim inside, but as soon as I take it out it's like there's no problem at all.
I am having a persistent problem with my phone Track Ball navigation. It keeps getting stuck and does not scroll. I got it fixed by paying a good amount of repairing charge. The phone worked fine for a week but again the track ball has stopped responding. Its creating a huge problem and I do not know where to get it fixed. I am extremely dissatisfied with the phone and Blackberry services.

They always had the same video player. and I loved that video player, but recently, I went on a site to watch a show and the video player had changed. Now I can't even watch my shows on that specific site anymore because the fullscreen button is doesn't appear, but it's not the site. It's the video player. On other sites I can watch videos but on this site, the fullscreen button doesn't work with this new video player. I want to factory chrome video player.
(and no I don't want to uninstall chrome updates because chrome looks horrible in it's factory version)

The weird thing is it has no description so im not even sure what it's supposed to do or fix, anyway I installed and I'm waiting to see if I notice any changes in chrome.
They just open another browser window for the mobile site.
I've reset the defaults for both applications and nothing changes.
Been having this problem the past few days where i open chrome, and within about 10 seconds (random time intervals) it will just close.
Sometimes i can get it open type in the address bar what i was going to type in and then it closes, sometimes i open the app and it closes right away. I haven't seen any updates recently so not sure whats been going on.I just tried clearing the app cache to see if that works, will report back later.
Clearing Cache didn't work, still seeing the issue. Can't seem to re-create it as it happens at random, but it is still happening.
I've upgraded to Lollipop on my S5, and for some reason, my google chrome start page and subsequent tabs, are trying to open a document that I had written and deleted.
I've tried to change the homepage, the subsequent tabs, delete and reinstall the update, but no avail. It still tries to load the deleted document.

I've looked under the help section in Chrome, but there instructions to change my homepage don't show the same settings that I have on my phone. What Chrome shows me is to go to "Settings, under Appearance check the box "Show Home Page' button, click change, On my phone I have 3 vertical dots and I select Settings, then there is "Home Page (off or on), click on that there is a box for default and I click the large dot at the top of the screen for on or off and the url is showing: sprint.com.How do I change that?

Now every time i load up chrome. If crashes within 10 seconds using about 1Gb of RAM and 50% cpu. so chrome is totally unusable for me.
What i have done is
-exported all bookmarks from chrome desktop
-deleted all sync data
-removed chrome completely from desktop and laptop
-fully reinstalled android on my phone
-reinstalled chrome on devices
-imported bookmarks via desktop
-let them all resync
Still got the issue. Huge memory leak and crashing.
How can I sync stock browser with Chrome desktop? In particular, I would import and sync automatic bookmarks. I used Dolphin and its addon with my LG G3 ...

It will open to chrome to a Web page that looks like Facebook saying I won a prize. The latest Web page is androidmax.mobi. The Web pages change from time to time but always end with .mobi. I Googled for a fix but can't find anything. It also at other times when I unlock or just random times open the play store to different games. This is extremely annoying. I haven't installed any new apps lately either but to just be safe I've deleted everything I've downloaded in the past couple months and still comes up. I've cleared cache and data on the play store and chrome too. It seems to stop for a few hours but always comes back.

Because every time I'm in Chrome and click on a YouTube link, it will play the link in Chrome itself.
As opposed to Firefox. When I click a YouTube link in Firefox, it does what I want, it opens up the YouTube app and plays the video there.
I already tried Settings>Default Applications> and cleared all that. It didn't change anything.
Everytime since my upgrade when I go to Chrome it goes to a document://301 error page and it drives me nuts. I have a homepage set, but everytime I fire up Chrome I get this maddening error. I've gone in and deleted/cleared the Cache and Defaults so that when it fires up and goes through new browser setup intro. I follow through all the stuff and it does it again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedRunning v 5.0 in my s.5. Android stopped saving my open tabs so when I open Chrome, I get the google home page instead of my last open tabs. I have a lower android version in my tablet and it still holds my last pages so I suspect this is an upgrade "improvement". The tabs do remain in my history but that means going to my history and opening from there. I wonder is there any way around this - I use specific pages every time I open and this is adding unnecessary steps.

But something just does not seem right while using apps that require scrolling up or down. EX: Facebook, Twitter, Play Store and especially the browser. Just to note Im on TMobile and am experiencing these after an uodate and factory reset after the update.
