View 2 RepliesI recently updated my Neo v to ICS...I wasnt able to see songs album images in music player...so i did factory reset...music player problem is solved but now my cell is consuming too much of battery then before... Also google market is not opening...internet browser is slow.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs it possible without root to get rid of these from the notification drawer? I thought initially that s finder was handy but have never used it and what quick connect is (when i click on it all it does is turn bluetooth on??) which is stupid because the bluetooth toggle is directly above it!
View 1 Replies View RelatedThere is a lot of RAM consuming and battery usage by the app com.sonymobile.intelligent.iengine. I have attached a screenshots for your reference. How to avoid this and is there any problems to face or performance loses if i stop this app???
Finally for which function this app (com.sonymobile.intelligent.iengine) belongs to and what are the functions it supports?
Having wifi sucking battery? Just noticed that it's at 38%.
View 3 Replies View RelatedFinally got around to sticking my SIM card into my 6P and decided to leave it off the charger over night to see how much battery percentage it would take away. I fell asleep with the battery at 55% and awoke with it around 30%. Looking at the battery usage, cell standby is consuming more of the battery than anything else. I've seen this bug in previous versions of Android, but have not heard anything about it with 6.0. Is my phone bad?
I'm on Verizon if that matters at all.
Nexus 5 non-rooted
In setting/battery there are several apps shown. Are these the apps running in the background and consuming battery? If NOT how could I find out what apps are running in the b/g?
I stopped some of these apps (not the ones for android services) using "Force stop" but they were still appears here. So how could I stop them to save battery?
My friend and I are both experiencing huge background data usage with the Google Backup Transport service that is part of Google Play Services.
My S6 Edge on 5.1.1 has been steadily increasing it's consumption of background data with this service over the last month and it's currently sitting at having used over 1.7GB.
My friend's Galaxy S4 on 5.0.1 is experiencing almost exactly the same data consumption over the exact same period of time. Something is deffo up with this but what it is.
Some old solutions I've read online include disabling background sync etc. but this isn't a solution and doesn't explain what it had been fine up until this month.
I forgot to charge my phone so it died. Then i charged its and the phone didn't connect to the charger and said that i need to connect with itunes. I did and when i connect my phone to the Itunes and it said that i need to restore my phone and download new version. I did both. But i did not see my phone update new version ( 5.1.1). But i still dont know why after that my phone block. i had to setting all things. my phone did not accept my sim ( t-mobile). my phone said i need to insert the sim even i already did?

It says that I have to charge it total first before showing everything. And it worked a few minutes, and after that, it goes back to zero everything starting about 90% battery and down to 3% battery, and it doesnt showing me nothing under usable numbers.Could this just be a bug in the JB, and theyre fixing it? Ive never had this issue on my last 3GS JB phone.

I recently received my N8 (1-1.5 weeks ago) and have been having a lot of fun with it however my biggest gripe is that the battery would require charging far too soon (once or twice a day depending on use)I was a little dumbfounded as reviews have been praising the N8s battery life. However I thought perhaps my usage was a little more extreme than the common user/reviewer.
Until the other night, before bed, my battery indicator showed roughly 50% battery life; I had turned my widgets and apps off (my bluetooth and gps were also off the only thing on was my wifi)
I locked my screen, leaving the clock screensaver on, and proceeded to sleep not 4 hours later I awoke and wanted to check what time it was but my phone had shut off, the battery was drained!
This doesn't seem normal to me and I posed the question to the aforementioned blog and the replies I received also found the situation odd.I have proceeded with a test after charging my battery to full. This time I have insured everything is turned off, that is the: widgets are in offline mode; apps; wlan; gps; bluetooth; FM transmitter. I have left the clock screensaver on and am waiting to see how long the battery lasts.
Had my M8 for 2 weeks now and at first the battery was terrible as I could barely get 12 hours out of the phone. After a hard reset, its now up to 30-35 hours with about 6-7 hours screen time. First of all, is this normal or is this still lacking? The most I got was 50 hours with 3 hours screen time and about 15% left on the battery before charging. I don't use the power saver feature on the phone.
Secondly, I have noticed that when I charge my phone to full, between 100% and 88%, the battery drains extremely quickly. It takes a third less time to drop a percent than below 88%. After that point the battery drain seems to be normal and fairly slow.
I charged my 3GS iphone last night, unplugged it at 98% and went to bed.woke up less than 3 hours later, found it to be at 53% and was radiating heat. I plugged it back into the charger, which helped it cool down, but this has been a recurring problem.this is happening and whether Apple can replace the battery or any other part?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince the latest firmware update ive noticed my phone battery isnt lasting that long at all.
was fully charged when i went to bed, 8 hrs later without use its a 1/4 down. now through the day at work using it everynow n again for text message im down to 1/4 left.
my battery life seems to be dying quick every day.any ideas why.does twitter use a lot of life
View 9 Replies View RelatedDon't know if it's a coincidence or not but ever since I downloaded LiveProfile my battery cuts out a lot. The battery doesn't even let me get to the orange or the red and the screen just goes bright white and all the keys light up. I cannot get rid of the white screen unless I remove the battery however when I put the battery back in the screen just goes white again unless I put it on charge.
Now my battery only lasts me about 45 minutes! What I don't understand is why it doens't even go to orange or red and why the screen goes white?
I took it to a shop and the man in there seems to think that I must have something running in the background wearing the battery down but I've deleted all my apps except Google Maps and facebook and it's still happening
I have been suffering from continuous dropping of phone calls , loss of network and quick battery draining.

I've had the 3D for a few weeks now and overall think it's a great smartphone. I was expecting poor battery life but on two occasions it went from fully charged to brick dead overnight (6-7 hours). Most apps, bluetooth and GPS off. I haven't experienced such quick drain during the day when I'm using it. I have also noticed an excessive amount of heat while charging.

I am sure I'll get people telling me the science of Apple's multitasking trying to convince me that there's no way Apps are running in the background or whatnot. But after several days of testing - there are some Apps (like Words with Friends) that are draining the battery when "not in use" but still in the quick start dock. On days that I have NOTHING in the dock, I am at between 97-100% throughout my NYC morning commute while reading with the Kindle Reader. If I have some apps in the dock during the same time frame I've gotten as low as 90-92%.
Going to do some more empirical testing (one full day of not opening up one of these apps at all vs keeping one open but not using all day long) to see overall difference. So either some apps unfortunately are sucking battery life - or my phone, in particular has varied battery life. I typically come home with anywhere from 55-65% of battery left when everything is closed on the dock. On the days I've test the above, I've come home with about 30-40%. Same usages/settings/locations.
Had my Torch for 8 months. All of a sudden, battery bar shows quick power loss; by noon I am down to about 55%.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed the release Marshmallow factory image yesterday - MRA58K - userdata and cache wiped. I've got a very frustrating Wifi problem which wasn't present in Lollipop - connecting to Wifi via the quick settings tile is really slow.
If I toggle Wifi off and on again via the quick settings tile it takes anything between 10-15 seconds for the wifi connection to re-establish.
If I toggle Wifi off and on from the Settings --> Wifi menu the wifi connection is re-established almost instantly as expected.
Both toggle methods were almost instant in LMY48M connecting to the same router/wireless network.
I've tried various combinations of advanced wifi options, i.e. different frequency bands options (my network is 2.4ghz, so have tried 2.4ghz and automatic), network notification toggled on/off, have tried with mobile data enabled/disabled - same behavior.

Will root later on to see if logcat shows anything.
I updated my BlackBerry software to the latest version 5.0.0 last week, and ever since then I have to charge my battery 2-3 times a day - if I don't use my phone/text/etc. If I use my phone, I've had to charge it as many as 5 times a day. I do not have Bluetooth enabled (only turn it on when I need it - have not used it since software update) and I have not added any additional applications since the software update. My File Free is showing 95329645 Bytes, and pulling the battery does not solve the problem.
I delete my text messages throughout the day, and also delete my emails that come in. I've looked through the knowledgebase and have tried various methods to supposedly help battery life - nothing has helped so far.
I have all of my applications and versions listed in my Biography (wasn't reallyy sure where to put all the info) and have my privacy set to all.
what I can do to stop the battery draining, I depend heavily on my BlackBerry and right now, it's not helping me at all.
So i've had my blackberry 8900 for a year now & it's very convenient for me to just press the clicking letters of a contact name and have it narrow down my contacts to the person i want. That way, i don't have to click on the contacts icon and start finding a name.I just took out the battery of my phone & put it in a couple minutes later because of some other issues, & now i can no longer do that anymore! I press buttons when i'm on the home screen and nothing happens; there isn't the convenient shortcut to finding/narrowing down a contact anymore.

View 21 Replies View RelatedI'm brand new to Android. I came to the V10 from BlackBerry. I just tried the Quick Remote that I saw on my phone. Honestly, I wasn't expecting it to work because my TV is an RCA....not one of the very common brands. It took a little while to set it up but it works! I amazed my kids by controlling the TV from my phone.
