May 8, 2012I have currently been through 4 iPhone 4s's and all 4 have had the same problem. they have all been find for about 2 weeks and then they all started staying at 100% for anywhere from 2 hours to up 8 hours before going down. Then they would start dying at like 13-14% battery life, as each day pasts it gets worst and my phone starts dying sooner and sooner. One of my phone got as bad as dying at 38% battery life. They all do the same thing, they hit a certain point then it goes from whatever % it is at to 1% then just shuts off.

Oct 25, 2012Battery life, with no phone use at all, and no apps at all, is about 7 hours. System Busy clock frequently prevents use, and screen occasionally goes black and is unresponsive for a couple of minutes. Battery has been replaced, but that did not improve anything.
At this point, despite many years with BlackBerry, I am seriously considering going Apple.

Apr 30, 2010I’ve got a BlackBerry Curve 8900 (ATT, running 4.2.0.108), and have had it since Oct. 2009. Battery life has always been OK - 24 to 48 hrs. between recharges.
Today though, after pulling it off the charger this morning around 8:00 a.m., I’ve noticed that I’m down to about 5% charge by 2:30 p.m. I have made no phone calls today, and have only sent/received a couple texts and rec’d two emails. I've never used a holster, have downloaded no apps, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both off. No keys appear to be sticking. Absolutely nothing, to my knowledge, of any significance has changed on the phone since October, yet all of a sudden --literally, overnight --I am experiencing this greatly diminished battery life. The only even remotely precipitating factor I can think of is that I did a battery pull yesterday, after deleting some old photos and emails.
I’ve searched the forum, and most of the suggestions are along the lines of “turn off bluetooth/wi-fi/update OS,” but as noted, I never used those anyhow, and the OS has always been good to me.

Oct 19, 2012My observation is that REBOOT issue some how related to battery level reader s/w or something. because as soon as battery level goes below 80%(approx), device start rebooting and after some reboots it shows battery level in "red'.
Remove battery put back and 80% cases reboot cycle stops and battery level is normal. However it remains for some time only. try to make/recv call and it starts rebooting again.

My battery reads 98% and after looking at the app the phone shuts down in seconds as there is not enough power. Some times I can reboot the phone and it will show a high percentage then dies again. I have re installed the OS a few times now and have not added any apps. Is this the battery or the phone having issues? I do not want to waist money on a new battery if it is the phone because for the most part it keeps a charge only not when your using it for more than a phone.

Mar 27, 2012Since I upgraded to the iOS 5.1 my battery life on the iPhone 4S has been ridiculous. For example, I left my house at 740am with my phone on 100%, I have browsed a little (safari and facebook) for no more than 20-30 mins in total. No apps are not running in the background as I ensure to close apps once i have finished with them. And now at 1400 I am left with 28% battery. i am not due to be at home until 1900.
Have I been unlucky with getting a dodgy iPhone from Orange?? the model is MD242B if that helps. Also, notifications and banners are all turned off except for phone, messages, whatsapp, remainders, calendar. I am careful not to over charge my phone, I do use an app called BatteryDoc to monitor my charging.
I always let my battery go flat before charging to 100% (with no trickle change), i believe this is a normal charge and what BatteryDoc advises i perform a full charge..

Jan 28, 2012I upgraded from my old faithful Bold 9700 to a 9360 and found its battery life to be very poor, I updated the firmware which helped a bit but it was still poor so I then upgraded to the 9900 and it is even worse. I can lose 20-30% of my battery in under an hour with little use. I et a maximum of about 4 hours out with moderate use.
