View 1 RepliesI just ran the latest updates and having all sorts of issues. battery life very poor and it won't wake up from standby/ sleep mode. Looks like there might be more bugs in this latest update. I had issues before with the email setup application which resulted in a replacement handset! I have to keep pulling the battery to reset it!!!
View 5 Replies View RelatedI’ve got a BlackBerry Curve 8900 (ATT, running 4.2.0.108), and have had it since Oct. 2009. Battery life has always been OK - 24 to 48 hrs. between recharges.
Today though, after pulling it off the charger this morning around 8:00 a.m., I’ve noticed that I’m down to about 5% charge by 2:30 p.m. I have made no phone calls today, and have only sent/received a couple texts and rec’d two emails. I've never used a holster, have downloaded no apps, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both off. No keys appear to be sticking. Absolutely nothing, to my knowledge, of any significance has changed on the phone since October, yet all of a sudden --literally, overnight --I am experiencing this greatly diminished battery life. The only even remotely precipitating factor I can think of is that I did a battery pull yesterday, after deleting some old photos and emails.
I’ve searched the forum, and most of the suggestions are along the lines of “turn off bluetooth/wi-fi/update OS,” but as noted, I never used those anyhow, and the OS has always been good to me.
I switch from I phone 4 to black Berry 9900 .. it cost me $ 720 USD.. the reason is I phone battery last for one full day,
but the problem now, black berry 9900 battery doesn't last for 8 hours .. even though i don't use ( Internet browsing) - ( Blutooth ) - ( wifi) and the screen brightness is 10 only ...
I upgraded from my old faithful Bold 9700 to a 9360 and found its battery life to be very poor, I updated the firmware which helped a bit but it was still poor so I then upgraded to the 9900 and it is even worse. I can lose 20-30% of my battery in under an hour with little use. I et a maximum of about 4 hours out with moderate use.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAside from the obvious route of getting a larger battery, does anyone have tips for maximizing their battery life? So far the ones I have seen include turning off wifi when it's not needed and making sure all apps are closed when finished with them. Has anyone found any good ones?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a new 9900, and the battery lasts less that 12 hours, even with minimal use. I loaded all the latest updated, only have Wifi turned on, and one weather app., no downloads. Sunday I was a home and only opened it the phone 5-6 times, did not make a single phone call, and received only 5-6 e-mail. It was still drained after 12 hours. This is the 3rd BB I have had in 7 years and the first with this problem, use my last blakc berry over 3000 minutes a month and receive 50+ mails a day, and the battery lasted a day or two no problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got this used blackberry bold 9780. At about battery level 30-50%, the battery level will plunge to 1% within minutes. And it will stay at 1% for the rest of the day. Today, the battery indicator was working fine till the battery was about 30%, then the phone just died.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to version 6 a few days ago. Immediately the battery life has reduced from a couple of days to a few hours. I switched off GPS, reduced backlight to 80%, and made sure no applications were running. No difference. I have bought a new battery and charged it overnight. Still no difference.

I tried switching off my apps not in use and it did not help.My phone is only 8 months old and am frustrated by the unreliability of the phone as I planned to keep it for at least 2 years. Is there a way of fixing this without replacing the battery?
View 1 Replies View RelatedA couple of days ago I bought the new Blackberry Bold 9900. But I couldn't get the answer of three questions: - How/where can I turn off GPS and WiFi? (I can get to the options of the connections but there isn't an option where I can turn it off) - Is it better for the battery life to use the vibrating notifications or the audible notifications? - How long should my BB be able to function with a fully fulled battery?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am getting the Battery too low for flash use message when my battery is up at 75-80%.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the past few months, the LED light never blink when the battery became low. It always suddenly shuts down the blackberry even though I don't use much of the battery yet. Last week, it became worse. It happens few times a week. So a few days ago i decided to update the software and restore my blackberry..
Afterwards, it became worse. My phone keep shutting down even though battery is still 85%. It wont turn on even if I press the power button. So I took off the battery and insert it back in and after rebooting, the battery will be left with 50%. This is a software problem, virus or battery problem?
Can I use a Blackberry Bold 9780 battery in my new Blackberry Bold 9900?
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, I dropped my phone from a kitchen stool on to a rug.. Went to reboot it and got a blackscreen with a white battery and a red X going through it. Now, I was told it was my battery after much goolging.. I have 3 batteries at my disposale, all working at various strengths. None are changing the issue. So, Ive plugged it into my DM and it gives me 3 OS's to choose from when repairing. Ive chosen all three, with and without different batteries and no progress has been made. What can I do next? Surely my phone isnt broken from its softest fall yet?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm a pretty avid user, bbm, email, broswer, etc, etc & when I first got the 9700 it was amazing the length of battery life between charges, sometimes 2 or 3 full days before needing a charge. But now as just under 2 months have passed, I'm finding myself having to charge usually every other day.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am suddenly experiencing vastly reduced battery life on my Bold 9650. It sounded the low battery alert in the middle of the afternoon on Friday and at around 8:30 p.m. today. The phone was off all day Saturday and was plugged into the charger from Friday night until the middle of this afternoon. This makes no sense to me, because I barely used the phone Friday or today, and as recently as last week, it was showing a good charge when I'd plug it in at 11 p.m. after a fair amount of usage through the day. Even on days of heavy usage, I've been making it until bedtime without the low battery alert. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to track this down without buying a new battery?
One difference in the last few days is that I have been home (some kind of human virus) all day, but I live a block from the cell tower, and my wifi signal reaches throughout the house pretty well. I thought that Friday's problem might have been interference from a wifi tablet, but I have scrupulously kept them apart today. Bluetooth is on, but that's normally the case. The battery is relatvely new, bought within the last six months from a vendor on Amazon. It appeared to be identical to the factory-installed battery, which lasted about a year-and-a-half.
Background apps that have been running on both days have been Blackberry Messenger, Facebook, Password Manager, BHive Tasks, Google Maps, Google Search, and Evernote (which says it last synched on Nov. 27th). Nothing unusual.
Phone: Blackberry Bold 9650

I recently updated to 7.0 bundle 2395 but the battery life seems worsen it droped like 40% in just 3 or 4 hours but it just in the standby mode and I did't use it at all so is there a problem with my battery?

View 2 Replies View RelatedBold 9780 battery drained completely (overnight) and when I went to charge it again it won't turn on. I tried charging it overnight and still nothing, I have also tried another fully charged battery and that won't work. My Desktop manager software doesn't detect it. Just before it died I had actually transferred all of the data onto a new blackberry and the software said I could now wipe my device but I didn't bother yet.
