I tried to move some photos from device to sd card, the move seemed to work but the photos now are black with a with like a ! mark in them.. More info shows its a jpg file and the size, looks like its physically still there but unsupported?

I cant do anything with it, is there any way to recover my photos? I've tried plugging it in and looking for my photos but it says none can be found. I also have taken the SIM card out already and put it in my new phone, does that make a difference....
View 2 Replies View RelatedOne time I edited photos from my Camera Roll taken from our trip. About 6 of em i think. Then it crashed, gave me a black screen so i had to restart my phone. The next morning when i check my PHOTOS, the 6 photos were gone!! Now, while I was on Skype video chat, I took maybe 10 screenshots and of course you're able to hear the shutter every time. But when I check my PHOTOS, they are not there! I feel really bad because the photos i took were very important to me. I am so worried that this will happen again if i go on trip or capture a precious moment and find out that i got nothing.

On sunday my phone was water damaged in an accident at work and wouldnt switch on again. took the sim card, memory card and battery out and left in airing cupboard to dry out over night. monday morning it started up fine and seemed to be working normally, the only problem being that the battery life is now serverely reduced. used the camera to take a photo at 12.33pm on monday, camera was working fine. last night (wed) i downloaded an app called who is it led and also noticed another app had appeared which was a free torch light, which eminated light from the camera flash. i then went to use my camera, the screen comes up with the geotagging location and menu bar at the bottom but says cannot load camera due to another appliction being open. check and retry to open camera and same message again. then uninstall the who is it led and the free torch app and reboot. try to load camera and the menus come up but the screen is totally blank and the camera soft key on the touch screen wont work. tried rebooting, taken battery out and sim card again several times but still no joy.

This Bug was already before Lumia Black.
I was importing some photos from my iPhone to iPhoto on my macbook. Then suddenly there was a warning that came up and said that some photos and videos were unreadable. So I cancelled the pop out I think. Then suddenly many photos that were unaffected initially, and not meant to be imported, became unreadable.Â
I then decided to eject my phone, thinking that it'd be ok. However, when i looked at my phone's photos later, the photos that weren't supposed to be transferred, suddenly turned black and then my phone got frozen for a few minutes. So I decided to shut off my phone.Â
After I switched it on again, I checked to see if the photos were there. To my horror, over 2000 photos went missing and more than half of which contain important screenshots and family photos and whatnot

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have the international SM-G920I version of the S6, running the latest 5.1.1 update.Recently, it has started giving me issues in the Google Photos app. I am unable to back up any photos. When I go open the app and go to the Assistant tab, it always shows "Backing up 1 item out of XX".
When I go to the "Backup & Sync" settings of the app, I get constant toast notifications saying "Backing up 1 out of XX". I factory reset my phone and tried again, however the issue persists. I am able to upload photos onto Google Photos using my computer, so it does not seem to be an issue in my Google account.
I have a Galaxy S6 Edge, and I am having an issue with viewing photos on the phone. When I view photos with the Photos app (google plus photos app), zooming in does not reveal any additional detail and the photo looks very blurry. When I use the built in Gallery app, however, I can zoom in and see very crisp detail in the image. I know it isn't an issue with the image itself, because I can view it fine in the Gallery app. Even in the Photos app, if I view the details of the image, it shows the full resolution of the image, but when I zoom in the photo is very blurry.

View 2 Replies View Related I got my GS5 last week, and I'm loving it, but it have one issue that bugging me. This issue don't happen often (only 3 times since I've got it), when I put my phone to sleep, and wake it back on, the two soft buttons on the bottom of the screen (back and multi-tasking button) lit up, but the screen does not, I have to force to take out the battery and put it back in, turn the phone back on then it would work.
I did called the store i got it from, but they don't have any more s5 in stock , and Samsung won't replace mine (what kind of customer service is this?), the store I got it from said they have to see the issue with their own eyes to be able to exchange me a new one, IF there will be any new S5 coming in for the next week or so.
my screen won't lit up upon waking the phone but the 2 buttons on the bottom of the screen lit up normally.
I will have my S5 freeze up and go black after trying to wake it up. My interface and messaging also feels very laggy at times where I pretty much have to wait for it to respond. I had the S view case on when it was freezing so I've removed that but it didn't work. Do you think i should just return this back to AT&T to try and get this replaced?

When I set black lock screen the black color is not truly black anymore and the back lid light is seen. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say. View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I had my phone in my pocket all night, with a screen code lock so nothing could be pressed, and when I woke up and took it out everything was in black and white (apps, texts, entire interface). I know this is what happens when you turn on Ultra Power Save mode, but it wasn't enabled when I checked. I enabled and disabled that mode, cleared my cache partition, checked under Direct Access to make sure Grayscale wasn't on, rebooted, and I've restarted a couple of times. Nothing.
