Basically my phone just stopped working (which is what i thought at first) but it's actually responding to my password (which is just the shape of the letter N) which is good because i just backed up all my important files onto my laptop, also my notification light is still working.

My iphone 4s is less than a week old. It has a black screen and is not responding. I tried charging. It gets warm but the phone doesn't respond. I tried a different plug. A different wall outlet. A different plug and different wall outlet. I tried rebooting. I tried to contact customer support but (haha- you have to call them or them call you back. I can't find an online tech support option for the iphone. I tried resetting it. I tried plugging it into the computer to wipe it and reload. My computer can't even recognize the phone. It's just dead. (PS- I have had iphones since the very first model & the very first year they came out. This is my 4th iphone. I have never seen this before.)

So today morning I got a call from one of my college mates. Phone started ringing and when I pressed the 'receive call' button, a message saying 'Android is not responding' appeared. I selected 'Shut Down' option, hoping that it would simply shut down the phone. Since then the screen has been black, not seem to respond to touches, only thing that works is a mechanical ringer volume button on the right side of the phone.

It then responds to anything, not even on the Power button until the other ends the call. Then, the screen lights up again and it goes back all normal.

After +- 20 soft resets my screen finally worked again. But now the top of my screen is unresponsive. It's basically the top 1 cm that isn't responding to touch. What should I do?

The screen on my phone stopped responding. It's the international version SM-G920I. I have tried rebooting the phone, soft reset, hard reset, wiped cache partion. Tried the solutions offered in this thread:[URL] ... (disabling briefing) and updating TSP firmware both didn't work. I live overseas so returning the phone to the U.S would be very expensive and in the sellers page on ebay it's said it didn't have a U.S warranty. It only worked for three months

for about 15 minutes my Galaxy S6 smartphone won't respond. The screen isn't responding at all. There is just a small cross visible on the right side... Which is really really weird... I tried to restart the phone with the volume down and power button... But it restarted (I guess, as the Samsung Logo appeared) but it went back to the non respond behaviour.Because I'm afraid that I won't get it back to work.

View 2 Replies View Related I got my GS5 last week, and I'm loving it, but it have one issue that bugging me. This issue don't happen often (only 3 times since I've got it), when I put my phone to sleep, and wake it back on, the two soft buttons on the bottom of the screen (back and multi-tasking button) lit up, but the screen does not, I have to force to take out the battery and put it back in, turn the phone back on then it would work.
I did called the store i got it from, but they don't have any more s5 in stock , and Samsung won't replace mine (what kind of customer service is this?), the store I got it from said they have to see the issue with their own eyes to be able to exchange me a new one, IF there will be any new S5 coming in for the next week or so.
my screen won't lit up upon waking the phone but the 2 buttons on the bottom of the screen lit up normally.
My Galaxy S5 went from a colour screen to just black and white.

When I set black lock screen the black color is not truly black anymore and the back lid light is seen. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say. I know this is what happens when you turn on Ultra Power Save mode, but it wasn't enabled when I checked. I enabled and disabled that mode, cleared my cache partition, checked under Direct Access to make sure Grayscale wasn't on, rebooted, and I've restarted a couple of times. Nothing.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Galaxy S5 and the other night somebody knocked it out of my hand...it took quite a thud to the floor and since then, the screen is completely black. The phone still turns on and the bottom 2 lights are working and it rings when people call etc. I can't answer the phone though so I'm assuming the touch screen has broken. what I'm worried about is loosing all my pictures. Because the phone has a pattern lock on it, when I plug it into a computer it says that there are no files. If i send it off for repair will they clear the phone? I'm thinking if they just replace the screen then I still get to keep everything but assume they will still clear it?

About a month ago, I got an OTA update to 4.4.4, and since then my lock screen wallpaper will occasionally disappear and be replaced by a solid black background. All the text/graphics (clock, step counter, notification bar) will still be there, white letters on a black field. The first time was about a week after the OTA, and it's happened 4-5 times so far.
When it goes black, I am no longer able to change the lock screen wallpaper. The menu comes up, and I can see all the pictures available, but selecting one and hitting "Set Wallpaper" simply returns me to the home screen without actually making the change. The black wallpaper will persist until I restart the phone. I have seen no other issues of any kind from the phone when the anomaly occurs, and my home screen wallpaper (which is different from my lock screen) is unaffected.
So sometimes when I press my lock button, the screen will go off but when I wake my phone again, it automatically opens without having to swipe to unlock.
This always happens when I have Google search open but also intermittently at other times.
When it fails to lock correctly, it sounds as if the lock "chime" is cut off abruptly rather than fading out as it should.
Samsung replaced the board inside but this did not fix it. They then replaced the handset with what seems to be a brand new handset and the problem is still present.
approximately every 4 or 5 days my phone will just freeze, usually on a black screen.Initially I removed the battery to re-boot, however the last couple of times I managed to get it to reboot with a long power button push. This latest time it was frozen on the home screen but would not respond to anything other than re-boot
