When I open camera on my s5 it shows black screen and camera does not work. today i have taken it seriously as i was trying to open my camera for a urgent purpose and it did not work. if i do not get it fixed I will throw it away (all android phones) for forever.
View 1 RepliesSo I got my Nexus 6P yesterday and the first thing I did was unlock the bootloader and root. However I just noticed this morning that I no longer have access to the camera. If I open the camera app it just shows a black screen with the camera symbol in the middle and Snapchat just gives me a black screen. The only things I have done were u lock bootloader, Root and I changed my DPI to 400. I've tried reboots and clearing data/cache from both Snapchat and my camera app with no success.

View 17 Replies View Relatedsince i update my phone to ICS 4.0.4 i experience camera issues. When in camera or video mode the screen is black (cant see nothing). But it works. If i take shot it flicker for split of second and shows image taken for that spit of second then goes back to black screen.

before ICS update it was on gingerbread. I tried with KIES but phone developed a fault. It wasn't allowing me to pass "Samsung Galaxy SII" screen. I went to local shop and they sort it out. So i don't know how they did it. Two days later i find that camera is faulty.
I have tried to delete photos in my camera roll and it just turns the thumbnails black and still shows just a black square

It feels like you really need to press down on the power button to get the shut down menu to show up.If i don't press down hard enough or right, the shut down menu shows up then it locks and the lock screen shows up. it's quite straight forward, and I don't remember having to hold down the power button for that long for it to shut down.

Killed all the apps and uninstalled it and reinstalled a few minutes later. Now it's just showing a black screen but when I go to kill them the screen is there but I click on it and it goes black again.

So, I turned on my phone and now it goes straight to the bootloader. So, when I select "Start" option, screen turns black (can still see backlight shining though). It was sitting there for hours, but screen stayed black.
I did have a rooted phone, but I hadn't tinkered with it for about 6 months.
I been wanting this device for awhile now. But anyways, I was wondering if there's anyway the clock that shows up on the screen w/ black background, can be removed. It's almost like a screensaver. It makes me think my phone's screen is on :)

View 1 Replies View RelatedRecently I purchased an E75 off of Ebay. The problem is, whenever I try to utilize the main camera, all I see is blackness. The viewfinder does not seem to work at all. Scrolling through the camera toolbar takes a while and tooltips remain on the screen without fading away as they supposedly should. I have tried taking picture regardless of the issue, but I recieved an error message which says "Unexpected error has occurred. Restart your phone." or something similar. I get the same result in Video Mode.I have done hard resets and firmware updates to the latest firmware possible, but to no avail. What could it be? Would I need to take it to a Nokia Care Center?

View 4 Replies View RelatedOn sunday my phone was water damaged in an accident at work and wouldnt switch on again. took the sim card, memory card and battery out and left in airing cupboard to dry out over night. monday morning it started up fine and seemed to be working normally, the only problem being that the battery life is now serverely reduced. used the camera to take a photo at 12.33pm on monday, camera was working fine. last night (wed) i downloaded an app called who is it led and also noticed another app had appeared which was a free torch light, which eminated light from the camera flash. i then went to use my camera, the screen comes up with the geotagging location and menu bar at the bottom but says cannot load camera due to another appliction being open. check and retry to open camera and same message again. then uninstall the who is it led and the free torch app and reboot. try to load camera and the menus come up but the screen is totally blank and the camera soft key on the touch screen wont work. tried rebooting, taken battery out and sim card again several times but still no joy.

I hard reset my phone twice i have few scratches on lens glass but I don't think that's the problem why i see that grey, black circle in center its the same size and its in the same spot as focus on cam ?

Just the part where the "picture" is supposed to be. I can see the zoom option and I can go to the options and everything. I notice a little symbol thats like an exclamation mark with comma sized lines all the way around it.

Then whenever I use the rear camera it gives me only black screen if I tried to take photo it took a while then give me a defect photo that i can't open. It doesn't work for both photos and videos. The front camera works fine. I noticed also that I have an issue with the flash too that when I open it I can't close it except with a restart.
I have tried the following:
1-) force shutdown with power button and volume up
2-) force shutdown with the off key.
3-) factory reset
4-) repair through pc companion.
but unfortunately all doesn't work.
Just got a brand new Nexus 6P yesterday, camera was working fine. Woke up this morning and the camera produces a black screen. Cleared camera data, cache, updated, tried third party apps, then performed a factory reset. All to no avail.
It is still locked I haven't unlocked the bootloader or even rooted the device yet... literally got it yesterday.
