S5 has worked for many months and recently they did a flash and I loaded everything back again, contacts etc, also I updated to Lollipop.
One day I noticed that My Local Profile on the texts was not showing, I filled out the info, although it is also in my contact list and next day again blank. I am not sure if it has to do with sync or not.
I forget what happens when we update to new firmware on an existing phone: Does it delete the music/video content from the iPhone? Or is there a way to preserve this content when I load the new iOS4 later today on my 3GS? I know you can preserve photos, text message threads, apps, etc. My iPhone 3GS is backed up.

I don't have that much space on my iPhone nor do I want my whole library on my phone so I manually sync my songs and videos.Am I really stuck with having to automatically sync my media just to sync ringtones?I use an iPod Classic 160 (which does automatically sync everything)an iPad 2 64 (movies only)and an iPhone 4s (some music and some movies)Is there a way to manually manage ringtones or automatically sync them without wiping music off my phone? Whenever I type a text and there is an income call, after the call when I open the message thread again there is no message saved.On my previous phone in that case it would rather save a draft or keep it in the input box as if the call has not happend at all.

I have tried both updates on numerous occasions and they have failed each time. The screen displays: "The PRL (or Profile) update failed. ErrorCode is NETWORK_ERROR".
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt seems every time a contact on my twitter account changes its profile picture, Motoblur simply do not show it anymore neither on the widget or the Motoblur app that the widget calls. In place of the precedent picture I then get the gray generic anonymous shadow. I'm not sure it is froyo related, but it sure started after the upgrade. I can imagine the issue coming from the Blur service on the servers and not from the phone itself.

View 6 Replies View RelatedJust purchased a new unlocked S6. I already had a Samsung account so went through the set up process on the phone and successfully set up the Samsung account on the phone using my Samsung account details. Able to go into Apps, Settings, Accounts, Samsung account and can see my email. The Samsung account syncs without problem and I can download apps through the Galaxy Apps site.
Now the issue, using the phone whilst in the Samsung account I select Profile so I can check my profile details but when I enter my password and select confirm, the phone shows a green & blue wheel with the words "In Progress" then the screen momentarily goes blank and then the same blue wheel with the words "In Progress" reappears and stays on the screen and that is as far as it goes. The phone is trying to open the Profile page but just continues showing the blue wheel with the words "In Progress".
I can log into my account through the account.samsung.com web site and enter the Profile through the website and I can use Find my mobile to connect to the phone and ring the phone so the phone is linked to the account. I have done a factory reset on the phone and the same issue remains. I have even set up a different Samsung account and the new account also has the same issue. I have cleared the cache and data on the phones Samsung account and tried to get into the Profile with the same issue. I asked a work colleague with a S6 to also log into his Profile via the phone and he had the same problem so it appears to be an issue with the Samsung app.
Default contact profile picture for me doesn't show up in sms app for Samsung Galaxy s6... the other persons picture appears next to their text, but mine does not. I previously had the S3 and my picture appeared next to my messages. How to have my picture next to my texts for my S6?

I don't have BIS/BES since it's on Boost but the data did work before, at one point at least As of right now I can make/answer calls, send/receive SMS. No MMS and no Web, GPS, etc. My status says 1xev and I need it to say 1XEV. Whenever I try to Register Now (Host Routing Table) it never provisions, whenever I attempt to Update Profile, or Update Preferred List it says that it can't complete request. Any options I need to change or steps to take different? BTW Data did work on 4.7 and 5.0.0.6## and people have reported that it does work on .732
View 4 Replies View Relatedjust got a samsung galaxy sII yesterday after updating from a htc incredible s..(which i found to be incredibily s**t). so far the samsung seems to be a nice phone. easy to use and very fast. theres only one thing thats causing me a bit of frustration, and thats that i cant seem to make my contacts appear with their profil pics in my message inbox next to their conversation threads. they all appear with the default silhouette. i've synced my facebook contacts with my phone contacts and done it both through the facebook app and the social hubb app. my background data and auto sync are activated aswell. i've tried using an app called syncmypix and that didn't work either. when a contact calls me their picture comes up, but im my messages their pics dont appear. i just got off the phone with a samsung representative and they told me i had to merge my contacts with my google account. so i did but this still didnt work, and then they told me its probably a problem with my network provider, which i think was just an attempt by them to get rid of me

My N97 mini is used as a mobile phone and as a navigation aid. Thus I do not need the icons on the start screen that uses internet, etc. I would very much like to fill the startscreen with icons like calendar and contacts, etc instead. However it seems like 3 of the areas on the screen where icons can be placed are reserved for internet type icons. Is there a a way to put local icons in these areas?

It reported that was not available in my Country/Region.It turns out that even though France is defined as the Country/region, Local scout will only startup if France is also defined as the Browser language setting.I do believe that it is a bug as the prefered language for the browser should not be used to determined the location.
