I just upgraded from S2 to S5 and realised that unlike my S2, the S5 doesn't find the devices I want to use like my car bluetooth handsfree or my Phillips bluetooth headset. Is there a setting that I am missing?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have just got a Bold 9700 and am really starting to like this phone. But I cannot get the bluetooth to work properly. It will pair with my devices but will not connect to them. It says connection failed or connection not supported. It will not connect to my cars built in bluetooth either, I have a new 2010 galaxy and it accepts the cars passkey but will not connect. I Really need my phone to connect to my car. When I go to my paired device list and click on a device I do not get a connect option, which I have been told to use. I am on vodafone in the UK and have contacted them to see if they can help but they tell me they do not help with Blackberry's (funny that when they take my money for it) so I am unsure where to contact now for help.

I have tried my MacBook Pro, E72 as well as my cars built in satnav system and keep on getting a message that they are not compatible..There is nothing in the brochure stating that bluetooth does not function as it should & I told by the sales staff that all Nokia devices were compatible regarding bluetooth.
View 19 Replies View RelatedIs that I have a pair of Wireless Beats headphones. When I scan for Bluetooth devices on my N5 It can't find my headset. I used my Ipad to search for the headset and that picked it up fine. I could even pick up my Ipad Bluetooth using my N5.. (Also note; I have never connected my headset to N5 before)
What I have tried to fix the problem.
-Reset Bluetooth settings
-Factory restore headset
-Connected headset to another device perfectly
-Changed the N5 Bluetooth name
-Reboot on both devices
-Changed WiFi off
-Changed WiFi frequency
-Tried various "Bluetooth Routing" apps
When I had my iPhone I could join it to my car radio to play music through Bluetooth no probs. My Galaxy S5 can 'see' my radio but always fails to connect. Would I be correct in thinking that there are different types of Bluetooth? Its not like its a cheap radio either.
View 1 Replies View RelatedEver since the update late last year that "fixed" the skipping Bluetooth issue I have had problems. Before this "fix" music or podcasts playing via Bluetooth would skip for a fraction of a second periodically. After the "fix" this no longer happens.
My car has Ford Sync (2009). Since the "fix" most of the time I get in the car the phone will not connect with Sync at all. This happens even if I try to force a sync using the phone or Sync. After playing with this issue over several days I realized if it does not connect right away I needed to reboot the phone for Bluetooth to connect to Sync.
I am also experiencing a stuttering with Doggcatcher and several music applications. This stuttering generally is when the player starts but occasionally it stops playing for up to 10 or 20 seconds then starts again (even when playing files on the internal memory). I do not have this problem when using the headset or the phone's speaker.
So i recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and i am having issues connecting my bluetooth media to my 2013 Ford Taurus.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been having a problem for the longest time now. My s6 refuses to connect to any pc. My first laptop had windows 7 on it and the s6 would successfully connect to it. That laptop is no more and i upgraded to a new one with win 10 installed on it. This laptop along with 2 others windows 7 completely refuses to connect to my phone. I think i have tried every "solution" but nothing works. My phone is rooted with a custom rom and the fast charge also refuses to work. I need to be able to connect to windows so i can reinstall the original firmware for a warranty exchange. Yes, i have all sumsung drivers installed, i have the original cable (and more), i tried smart switch, it still doesn't work.

When I connect the HD to my phone, it recognizes that a new USB drive is connected. Unfortunately, it only sees 196 MB. I loaded the HD with my iTunes music files, and hoped I could access them using my phone, as I have more files than will fit on my iPod. Unfortunately, I can't see any of the files, and my file manager says there are only 196 MB in the drive.

The phone connects and I can make and receive calls via the in-car bluetooth.
However, it's not connecting as a media player.
I've repaired several times and have paired separately as a media player and phone but it won't keep the BT media player pairing.
I recently got my S5 and my data connectivity has stopped working after I took a flight. I had enabled flight mode on and turned it off when I landed. I'm still in the same country. Before this, I used to only be able to connect to H+ but I'm positive that my data was set to enable 4G LTE. My SIM card works on my old S3 and 4G LTE is being used. I'm not sure what's going on, I've tried resetting my phone a bunch of times and playing with the settings.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy s5, and recently updated to Lollipop. Had all the major problems reported, so I did a system restore which fixed a few of them. My most pressing concern, however, is that I can no longer connect to my work WIFI. I had no problems connecting prior to the update. The WIFI is set up where you connect, and then a webpage should open up for you to login to the system. My browser opens, but will not load a page. The progress bar gets stuck on one spot.
