All the reviews said E6 has a good standby time. But this seems to last me less than a blackberry fone. A fully charged fone doesnt last me beyond half a day whereas BB gave almost a full day with the same usage.

He is not making lots of calls. Life goes while on standby. We have also brought a new battery, still has the problem. The battery is a genuine Nokia battery.

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have been trying to update my nokia E7 from symbian Anna to symbian Belle using nokia suite 3.3.89 but whenever it goes to the backup step , my phone displays an error message saying ( Home Screen cannot operate while backup or restore is in progress ) and then it turns off and the nokia suite asks me to restart my mobile and when i do so , nothing changes and the nokia suite display a message that it cannot backup my phone , also when i try to backup my mobile using a flash memory i have the same message on my phone and it turns off , also i tried to hard reset my mobile but with no use , so what can i do ?

I'm able to arrange everything without OVI-Suite on the PC, contacts, mails, calendar and synch, just all I need using OVI on the web.

I have thousands of messages (SMS, Bluetooth, etc.) sorted and stored in a folder tree in "My folders" on my E71-1 (somewhat like Outlook).I tried exporting as CSV file (using Best MessageStorer), but then I could not figure out how to import the messages in the CSV file (Noki Gems crashes). In addition, only text and html are exported leaving out all the Bluetooth messages! Is there a way to backup and restore these (like Outlook)?

It is saved as backup.arc and can be seen when in PC suite, but now I cannot delete this because it says it is 'write-protected'.......... The size is 175mb, which is alarming.I am unable do any 'slider thingy' because it is a micro sd card with no adapter. Seriously, it is very very plain!I do not want to reformat it because i do not want to lose any Ovi maps and frankly, E72 has a LOT of software problems, I do not want to risk it (i set up a ringtone which also caused the inability to ever change it.... unless I saved a song as something...transfered it elsewhere...save it again etc etc, point is I am aware how nasty it gets, so, no formatting advice unless you guarantee there'll be no errors!)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been using (not that heavy) the E6 for some days now and have noticed that the battery life is no where near as strong as specified as the specifications.
My old E71 performed better. The E6 uses more power yet the standby times are supposedly much improved compared to the E71 (which is ridiculous!) because both phones have the same battery strength.
Do you reckon Nokia have been too optimistic with their battery life specifications. I just feel a bit cheated because the battery life was one of the things I specifically investigated before purchasing the phone.
I'm really excited about the new E6 and has decided to buy it over the iPhone 3G S now available in India. But now my matter of concern is that I hear rumors that the talktime of the Nokia E6 is very less, much lesser than as claimed by Nokia!! Is this right?? Can anybody please clarify? Anybody having good and bad experiences with Nokia E6 are welcome to post their verdict on this phone

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from an E71 to the E5, primarly to get a better battery life. I use Exchange ActiveSync, with 15 minute checks. My service is AT&T 3.5G, and I keep the radio in dual mode. In a normal day on the E71, I could get 12 hours of use out of the phone before running the battery down.
Out of the box, same settings, my E5 is getting about 4-6 hours. Longer if I don't make any phone calls. But if I talk on the phone for 20-30 minutes, it will last around 4 hours total.
I am in the Dallas, TX market, and got the phone from Amazon. Has anyone else had similar experience? Any recommendation? This is really bad, and I am about ready to just return the phone to Amazon, and go back to my E71
since i bought my E63 i have changed the battery up to 3 times, each of them keep increasing in size and eventually deteriorates in battery life..even the present one has stated the same thing.what do i do to stop dis?

Ive owned the phone since the first of feb this year, and just noticed this now.
I'm experiencing problems with my phone battery life. When I charge the phone it tells me that the battery is full but after 10-15 min it tells me it's empty again. This is strange as I bought two other new batteries and it's the same issue. I'm suspecting that it has nothing to do with the battery. My software version is 081.003. model E72-1

View 1 Replies View RelatedI think it says on my original E71's battery charger (AC-5E) that it comes with an output 5V-800mA (it is not clearly readable anymore).
However, all my other chargers have an 5V-350mA output, and when I load my E71 with them, it also takes waaay longer. But when I want to buy another charger (and I also checked the E71 page), it only says AC-5E, and I only find it with an 350mA output, never 800mA...
mobile is showing charging but actually not charging the battery ?

Now, after upgrading to 081.004, the battery doesn't even last for a day. I have to charge it approx. every 20 hours and that's without calling, texting, browsing or using the phone at all really. Wifi and bluetooth are turned off and I didn't change any other settings.
