Has anyone else noticed a dramatic decrease in battery backup after the upgrade ?I distinctly remember getting more than 2 days worth of juice when on 0.91, but after the upgrade, the phone barely sees a day at full charge.Nokia guys, what changed ?
View 5 RepliesI've had my e5-00 for about a year now and I could always get around 3 - 4 days of use out of it without charging. Now, after upgrading to 081.004, the battery doesn't even last for a day. I have to charge it approx. every 20 hours and that's without calling, texting, browsing or using the phone at all really. Wifi and bluetooth are turned off and I didn't change any other settings.

I haven't installed any new software or application, I am still working with same files which i was using before upgrade but phone is getting hang and restarts automatically.. I don't know what to do.Also, I don't know, whether it has any relation but my battery is also getting drained pretty fast. very weird behavior of my battery.. not getting charge properly even after 3 hours.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just bough a Lexar 32GB class 10 Micro SD card that I am trying to use to replace the current 8GB class 4 card in my Nokia E72. I am trying to copy the data that is on the old card over to the new card. I have used the Nokia suite to make a backup and then resort that back up to the new card but then some of my apps are not there. I have also tried to copy the conents of the old card to the my computer using a card reader and then copy this to the new card (inclusing all hidden files, using Windows Explorer). This gets me more apps back but not everything. So, what is the best way to upgrade the memory card an keep all the data?

After i downloaded the program from Nokia website, i can use the software immediately. when i started to use the software, I was being reminded the availability of the new version 3.0. Therefore i went to joikuspot website using my phone E72 to update the software. However, after i installed the software, it ask me the 12 digit code which i do not have(Nokia did not issue me with the code). how do i get the 12 digit code from ovi store?
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia E6-00 is now dead, screen doesn't power up and Ovi Suite / PC doesn't regognize it. I upgraded Ovi suite to 3.90 prior installing this new firmware for the phone, during the firmware upgrade there was a error. It didn't connect to the phone anymore. Even if I did what the Ovi Suite suggested, battery off, usb cord back to the phone, battery back and then power on - still the upgrade wouldn't continue. I tried at least twice.
Situation is so that the phone haven't a firmware at all? Is the only way to get my phone working again, by going to a Nokia Care Point and let them flash it?
I have a E63 that works perfectly until I was asked to upgrade. Now checking my mail is a task can only push 2 email account ( could push up to 10 accounts at once before now). It comes only as headers ,which means I waste time connecting to read mails.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter upgrading by E7-00 with symbian Anna, my phone frequently runs out of memory. I used RAMinfo free, it shows 125MB free RAM. THis goes down to about 95MB with frequent usage (but all apps closed). However, with the free RAM still at around 95MB, I start getting "Insufficient Memory.close other applications" error.
The only apps running in the background are whatsapp (2.6.29) and socially. I have tried disabling socially for a day and the problem continues. DUring this time, if I scroll through homescreens, my widgets disappear randomly and new applications fail to launch.
I upgraded my software and now the Wlan connection is unable to connect. The phone says I'm already connect to a WLAN. But I haven't set up any access points yet and no other data connections are active. If I hold the end call key down the just beeps rather than ending any connections.I have reformatted the phone as per nokia guidelines and the software level according to the updater is o the 400 version.

I followed the instructions in Nokia site and took complete backup before upgrading and restored entire stuff after upgrade. Now, though my settings are intact as it was before upgrade and my operator (Airtel) also confirmed that my GPRS subscription is active, I can not connect to Web nor can check my emails. Whenever I attempt to browse, it gives an error message saying - 'Connection Not available'! In fact, I checked inserting my CIM card to another Nokia phone and could browse Internet with same GPRS settings as in E71.

View 1 Replies View RelatedTry the remote lock message (message you sent in the SMS to lock the phone remotely) as the memory card unlock password.I upgraded my phone from v210.21.006 to v500.21.009 today. Took all the usual precautions like removing remote lock (didn't reset the custom lock code to default) backup content to PC & memory card, then removed the card from the phone before upgrade. Then after upgrade and restoring settings inserted the card & was prompted for a password. Tried lock code/default lock code before and various other passwords before figuring out it might be the message text for the remote lock.

Nokia suite is still not available for Apple users.For luck we are based in Edinburgh where Nokia have Nokia care store - with extremely fast and friendly support, they make the upgrade in few minutes for us free of charge. But the issue is we need to run 20km to the store....would be more easy do it by our self at home - if Nokia is able produce some kind of software make this possible. Im sure they must be many Apple users that use Nokia phones The E7-00 is very great phone with many futures and also durable - work in extremely low temperatures under -20C in Mountains.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been using (not that heavy) the E6 for some days now and have noticed that the battery life is no where near as strong as specified as the specifications.
My old E71 performed better. The E6 uses more power yet the standby times are supposedly much improved compared to the E71 (which is ridiculous!) because both phones have the same battery strength.
Do you reckon Nokia have been too optimistic with their battery life specifications. I just feel a bit cheated because the battery life was one of the things I specifically investigated before purchasing the phone.
I'm really excited about the new E6 and has decided to buy it over the iPhone 3G S now available in India. But now my matter of concern is that I hear rumors that the talktime of the Nokia E6 is very less, much lesser than as claimed by Nokia!! Is this right?? Can anybody please clarify? Anybody having good and bad experiences with Nokia E6 are welcome to post their verdict on this phone

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from an E71 to the E5, primarly to get a better battery life. I use Exchange ActiveSync, with 15 minute checks. My service is AT&T 3.5G, and I keep the radio in dual mode. In a normal day on the E71, I could get 12 hours of use out of the phone before running the battery down.
Out of the box, same settings, my E5 is getting about 4-6 hours. Longer if I don't make any phone calls. But if I talk on the phone for 20-30 minutes, it will last around 4 hours total.
I am in the Dallas, TX market, and got the phone from Amazon. Has anyone else had similar experience? Any recommendation? This is really bad, and I am about ready to just return the phone to Amazon, and go back to my E71
since i bought my E63 i have changed the battery up to 3 times, each of them keep increasing in size and eventually deteriorates in battery life..even the present one has stated the same thing.what do i do to stop dis?

Ive owned the phone since the first of feb this year, and just noticed this now.
I'm experiencing problems with my phone battery life. When I charge the phone it tells me that the battery is full but after 10-15 min it tells me it's empty again. This is strange as I bought two other new batteries and it's the same issue. I'm suspecting that it has nothing to do with the battery. My software version is 081.003. model E72-1
