Eseries / Communicators :: Joikuspot Premium Cannot Be Used After Upgrade
Jul 24, 2010
i have re-purchased the joikuspot premium software for my new phone from Nokia Ovi Store. After i downloaded the program from Nokia website, i can use the software immediately. when i started to use the software, I was being reminded the availability of the new version 3.0. Therefore i went to joikuspot website using my phone E72 to update the software. However, after i installed the software, it ask me the 12 digit code which i do not have(Nokia did not issue me with the code). how do i get the 12 digit code from ovi store?
My mobile is Nokia C7 I bought Joikuspot Premium Wifi and installed. For the bigining, it worked well for 2 days and after that I didn't know what happen. When I press the icon of "Joikuspot", It shows the message (in Thai Lanaguge) I will translate to you the meaning that "Software can not use file because of Security Policy" and then return to main menu.
I power off my mobile and tried again to use. The same problem occur.
After that, I tried to use for free version of Joikuspot, for free version can work well but it can't set the security code.
just installed this on my E72 and seems to go well - except that nothing can connect to it and then connect to the internet I have tried 2 laptops and my PC (win XP) and all see the adhoc network, each can connect to it, but none can access the internet browsers say site not found email says smtp server not found
im using nokia 5800xm..after updating my firmware from V50 to V51 i do hard reset to my phone..after restarting my map lost premium content like wather, event, lonely planet and hungrygowhere..ive try download and install new map from nokia site but seem my premium content still didt show up..so how i can get my premium content back again??
My phone was working flawlessly before upgrade.. Now. it hangs and restarts automatically atleast 3 to 4 times a day. I haven't installed any new software or application, I am still working with same files which i was using before upgrade but phone is getting hang and restarts automatically.. I don't know what to do.Also, I don't know, whether it has any relation but my battery is also getting drained pretty fast. very weird behavior of my battery.. not getting charge properly even after 3 hours.
I upgraded from FW 031.23 to Fw 052.005 . Every function of E72 works post upgrade but OVI chat has stopped working. When I try login to my gmail using OVI chat, I get this error "A temporary service problem. Try again later.(Code-2)"
I have just bough a Lexar 32GB class 10 Micro SD card that I am trying to use to replace the current 8GB class 4 card in my Nokia E72. I am trying to copy the data that is on the old card over to the new card. I have used the Nokia suite to make a backup and then resort that back up to the new card but then some of my apps are not there. I have also tried to copy the conents of the old card to the my computer using a card reader and then copy this to the new card (inclusing all hidden files, using Windows Explorer). This gets me more apps back but not everything. So, what is the best way to upgrade the memory card an keep all the data?
During upgrade(?) to 202.12.01.209.07, browser was downgraded. New one requires constant scrolling to read mobile sites. Some phone functions report "use original browser". New software is available but download attempts report "not approve by network operator".What to do - buy other than Nokia?
My Nokia E6-00 is now dead, screen doesn't power up and Ovi Suite / PC doesn't regognize it. I upgraded Ovi suite to 3.90 prior installing this new firmware for the phone, during the firmware upgrade there was a error. It didn't connect to the phone anymore. Even if I did what the Ovi Suite suggested, battery off, usb cord back to the phone, battery back and then power on - still the upgrade wouldn't continue. I tried at least twice.
Situation is so that the phone haven't a firmware at all? Is the only way to get my phone working again, by going to a Nokia Care Point and let them flash it?
Has anyone else noticed a dramatic decrease in battery backup after the upgrade ?I distinctly remember getting more than 2 days worth of juice when on 0.91, but after the upgrade, the phone barely sees a day at full charge.Nokia guys, what changed ?
I have a E63 that works perfectly until I was asked to upgrade. Now checking my mail is a task can only push 2 email account ( could push up to 10 accounts at once before now). It comes only as headers ,which means I waste time connecting to read mails.
I've had my e5-00 for about a year now and I could always get around 3 - 4 days of use out of it without charging. Now, after upgrading to 081.004, the battery doesn't even last for a day. I have to charge it approx. every 20 hours and that's without calling, texting, browsing or using the phone at all really. Wifi and bluetooth are turned off and I didn't change any other settings.
After upgrading by E7-00 with symbian Anna, my phone frequently runs out of memory. I used RAMinfo free, it shows 125MB free RAM. THis goes down to about 95MB with frequent usage (but all apps closed). However, with the free RAM still at around 95MB, I start getting "Insufficient Memory.close other applications" error.
The only apps running in the background are whatsapp (2.6.29) and socially. I have tried disabling socially for a day and the problem continues. DUring this time, if I scroll through homescreens, my widgets disappear randomly and new applications fail to launch.
I upgraded my software and now the Wlan connection is unable to connect. The phone says I'm already connect to a WLAN. But I haven't set up any access points yet and no other data connections are active. If I hold the end call key down the just beeps rather than ending any connections.I have reformatted the phone as per nokia guidelines and the software level according to the updater is o the 400 version.
I recently upgraded the firmware of my Nokia E71 to the latest version i.e. 500-21-009. I followed the instructions in Nokia site and took complete backup before upgrading and restored entire stuff after upgrade. Now, though my settings are intact as it was before upgrade and my operator (Airtel) also confirmed that my GPRS subscription is active, I can not connect to Web nor can check my emails. Whenever I attempt to browse, it gives an error message saying - 'Connection Not available'! In fact, I checked inserting my CIM card to another Nokia phone and could browse Internet with same GPRS settings as in E71.
I am not able to see the length of the message when i use the physical Qwery keyboard. However when i use swype the length appears. I am not sure if this is missing in the normal screen or I am missing it...
flv files that played in anna previously donot play after upgrading to symbian belle 111.130.0625 ... White screen appears with a small flash logo on left top corner... Phone model E6-00 Product code 059F125 Flash version 4..
The firmware sucks. I have a qwerty keyboard after the firmware upgrade (it used to be azerty). Can I downgrade it, so i will have the azery keyboard again
Try the remote lock message (message you sent in the SMS to lock the phone remotely) as the memory card unlock password.I upgraded my phone from v210.21.006 to v500.21.009 today. Took all the usual precautions like removing remote lock (didn't reset the custom lock code to default) backup content to PC & memory card, then removed the card from the phone before upgrade. Then after upgrade and restoring settings inserted the card & was prompted for a password. Tried lock code/default lock code before and various other passwords before figuring out it might be the message text for the remote lock.
OVI prompted me to download an app to improve mail for exchange display from 'text' display but now with my emails I get a message saying "Security policy that allows downloading HTML messages is disabled" but I cannot find a way to enable for HTML.
When upgrading my Nokia E7 from symbian anna to symbian belle, the phone switched off and on restarting, it display a text: "phone startup failed, contact retailer."
we have in family 3 phones Nokia E7-00 and now found that we can't update to Belle software, because is possible just through PC. Nokia suite is still not available for Apple users. For luck we are based in Edinburgh where Nokia have Nokia care store - with extremely fast and friendly support, they make the upgrade in few minutes for us free of charge. But the issue is we need to run 20km to the store....would be more easy do it by our self at home - if Nokia is able produce some kind of software make this possible. Im sure they must be many Apple users that use Nokia phones The E7-00 is very great phone with many futures and also durable - work in extremely low temperatures under -20C in Mountains.
I have two questions for people in Nokia before baying this new communicator
1. Are they intend to put in final production of the E7 device the Symbian^4 O.S?
2. If not, will it be possible to upgrade this device from Symbian^3 to Symbian^4 O.S?
That is, I think, the crucial problem in final production because the Symbian^3 is breaking in the everything except in visual part of UI which is a little bit démodé.As I can see on the Symbian page they are rushing to change this with a lot of changes in this part of O.S.it will be very disappointing to me baying such a device and after half a year faced with a new O.S. (specially UI which is most important for users-the name told us this-UI)
just to day I did install the "anna" upgrade - after two attempts it seems working - and the icons looks kitschy
There are several things which are not working as before "anna" - therefore I have also some few questions:
1. on each start up I get the OVI registration screen - I have an OVI account, on which I log in and connect successfully - but this stupid registry screen is there on each startup -> how to switch off defintely this registry screen?
2. Mail exchange synch doesn't activate the well known WLAN connection automatically like before "anna" - I have to establish manually the connection, then it works -> how to achieve that the WLAN connection will be established as before -> can this maybe set somewhere else than under "Settings/connections"?
3. The calendar on monthly view, shows an opened day in hours - changing the view under "Options/change view" to show a list of appointments -> how I can set this day view showing a list of appointments by default like it was before "anna"?
4. How I could get back my original icons like they was before "anna"
I've just purchased a Nokia 808 from Singapora and tried using Joikuspot. Unfortunately for some reason it fails to start a connection. I've made sure that BOTH mobile data and wifi are on as well. When I start the program, it asks if I want to start a connection (to which I say yes), I choose AT&T Internet and wait. I can see the 3G internet icon start up, but the wifi icon (or transmitting icon) never appears and the message "Connection failed, Connection unavailable" appears up at the top.
I've tried reinstalling Joikuspot (well, I purchased the premium version actually), reinstalling the phone software (via Nokia Suite) and doing a factory reset with no success. Internet and other apps seem to work fine under 3G and wifi as well so I'm not sure what's going on.
My friend has Nokia E5 and he installed Joikuspot Light which turns the phone to a 3G wifi hotspot. Then I was able to connect my laptop to web using his phone as 3G wifi router. [URL] I was able to connect iphone to web using his phone as 3G wifi router. But when I tried to connect my HTC legend (its Wi-Fi is enabled),,,,,Android Version 2.2 HTC was not able to find the nokias SSID (although SSID's broadcast is enabled) even when I added that SSID manually HTC complains that it is not in the range. My HTC was able to connect my home router wirelessly with no problem?
i've tried installing the updated ovi maps 3.04 several times now and each time i launch the app it will cause the screen to fade, then i get red, blue and green lines, then the phone reboots. i initially did the upgrade from 3.03, that version worked great, and as soon as it finished and i launched the app is crashed the phone. rebooted a few times and same thing, did a soft reset and same thing. then i completely wiped the phone, formatted the storage, hard reset, installed my must have apps like mfe, joikuspot premium, opera mobile, nimbuzz, facebook and Internet, then installed ovi maps............same thing. so now i'm going to do it all over again and install the maps first, then start installing apps one by one. i'm sure it's an incompatibility between ovi maps 3.04 and one of my apps. i'm not sure why though because 3.03 worked just fine with even more apps installed, and it's not like any of the apps i installed were betas. well after some additional testing i've narrowed the problem down to an incompatibility between ovi maps 3.04 and the current version of joikuspot premium downloaded from their website. i wiped the phone, installed the new version of ovi maps, and the app functioned as expected. i then downloaded and installed the current version of joikuspot premium directly from their website, registered it, launched it, then shut it down. then i tried launching ovi maps again. the application came up but after 5 to 10 seconds i got color streaks across the screen then the phone rebooted. i continued to do this each time i tried to launch the app. then i uninstalled joikuspot, rebooted, and launched ovi maps and it worked just fine. i then tried installing some of my other apps i use like opera mobile, mfe, nimbuzz. all those functioned just fine and ovi maps continued to work. i then reinstalled joikuspot, rebooted, registered, etc.... and ovi maps started crashing again. then again i uninstalled joikuspot, rebooted, and ovi maps started working again.
I've a big problem with Windows 7 and NOKIA N97 32G I install the latest version of Nokia Ovi Suite 2.0.2.42. When I connect the phone with USB and select PC suite mode in the phone, OVI don't see the phone and say method not compatible. I can't synchronize the phone.
