I have a E63 that works perfectly until I was asked to upgrade. Now checking my mail is a task can only push 2 email account ( could push up to 10 accounts at once before now). It comes only as headers ,which means I waste time connecting to read mails.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having real trouble trying to get any kind of push email on my Nokia E63. I'm in the UK and on firmware 410.21.010 with Nokia Email 9.06.16. According to the Nokia updating site this is the most recent firmware available for my serial number.The email setup just doesn't seem to work at all like the help docs here suggest. I get no option for 'Nokia Email Service' but I do get one for gmail. I can then setup my gmail box OK - but there is no setting for IMAP idle. It only allows me to set up a scheduled retrieval (at best every 5 minutes) and even then only downloads the headers so I have to manually download the message body. Does Nokia really not do push email at all?I've been using emoze as an alternative for a while - but stopped when I found that it was sending random email all by itself. And Mail for Exchange doesn't work with gmail for me - it just stops syncing after a while.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E 72 with 4 push email accounts. all used to work perfectly fine.. but recently push email is not working. it shows connected to the server but inbox is empty in all 4 accounts.. it synchronizes sometimes but again goes blank.. i have vodafone mobile conect on the phone and i have reset the accounts with nokia as well as reset the phone twice. all softwares are updated and when phone is restarted it syncs for some time and again phone goes blank..

This is supposed to be a business device, but when you add a Lotus Notes mailbox on it, you can't set it on your home screen. How about setting a default mailbox like in S60? I have not been able to find the option anywhere.

I haven't installed any new software or application, I am still working with same files which i was using before upgrade but phone is getting hang and restarts automatically.. View 3 Replies View RelatedBackground - 3 mail accounts set up, not via Nokia mail, but with direct server definitions; they are all for the same ISP, different ID's and passwords for inbound server, same ID and password for outbound server.I have noticed that if there is nothing thing in the in-basket for a given account the folders (inbox, Drafts, sent;outbox) do not appear in the dropdown - even though I know there are items in the "sent" folder.The moment something comes into the inbox - they re-appear - and the expected items are in the "sent" folder once again.Weird - and inconvenient, since it means you cannot access sent items if your inbox is empty.

The second account (IMAP) worked fine until today, when clicking on the relevant "button" just makes it blink, without opening the account the mail. A restart allowed me to see who the mail was from but not to open it, then the problem is the same until I restart the phone again.Otherwise no other signs of instability for a long time.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just bough a Lexar 32GB class 10 Micro SD card that I am trying to use to replace the current 8GB class 4 card in my Nokia E72. I am trying to copy the data that is on the old card over to the new card. I have used the Nokia suite to make a backup and then resort that back up to the new card but then some of my apps are not there. I have also tried to copy the conents of the old card to the my computer using a card reader and then copy this to the new card (inclusing all hidden files, using Windows Explorer). This gets me more apps back but not everything. So, what is the best way to upgrade the memory card an keep all the data?

After i downloaded the program from Nokia website, i can use the software immediately. when i started to use the software, I was being reminded the availability of the new version 3.0. View 3 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia E6-00 is now dead, screen doesn't power up and Ovi Suite / PC doesn't regognize it. I upgraded Ovi suite to 3.90 prior installing this new firmware for the phone, during the firmware upgrade there was a error. It didn't connect to the phone anymore. Even if I did what the Ovi Suite suggested, battery off, usb cord back to the phone, battery back and then power on - still the upgrade wouldn't continue. I tried at least twice.
Situation is so that the phone haven't a firmware at all? Is the only way to get my phone working again, by going to a Nokia Care Point and let them flash it?
Has anyone else noticed a dramatic decrease in battery backup after the upgrade ?I distinctly remember getting more than 2 days worth of juice when on 0.91, but after the upgrade, the phone barely sees a day at full charge.Nokia guys, what changed ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI can't seem to find a way to sync the email on my Outlook Desktop to my E63. I bought this phone because it promised to sync with Outlook. I assumed that mean ALL of Outlook. It syncs very well with everything but the email. My problem is that I operate remotely and that my desktop email runs on Outlook 2007, which pulls my email off an IMAP4 server. I know the phone can do IMAP4 by itself.
The problem is when my Outlook pulls the messages from the IMAP4 server, it also deletes them from the server, making them inaccessible to the phone. Additionally, this is my private phone and I don't want to incur extra charges on account of my work. I like the ability to download the messages to my phone during a sync, take them with me, answer/delete/file them, and then have those actions carried out in Outlook when I sync the next time.
Have set up e-mail access on my E72-1 (updated with the latest Sofware and e-mail program) again after trying different methods to correct various imperfections). And now register that the e-mail program simply cuts sentences and words in e-mails I send from my PC. Sometimes the text is not displayed at all.
I send email from Thunderbird (v.17.0, released: November 20, 2012). And I've tried different settings for the format I send e-mails without success. When I send from a hotmail account or gmail account from the internet, there are no problems.
