My E72 is set up for OVI mail and one other account. The second account (IMAP) worked fine until today, when clicking on the relevant "button" just makes it blink, without opening the account the mail. A restart allowed me to see who the mail was from but not to open it, then the problem is the same until I restart the phone again.Otherwise no other signs of instability for a long time.
View 4 RepliesI have a brand new E7 configured with my corporate Exchange 2003 server account and my private gmail. E7 runs the most current SW P1.1 014.002.263.03.Mail/calendar/contacts sync works but opening a received mail with any attachment listed (even how tiny, like 1kb jpeg) on the mail application takes ages. If I click on a message on the mail list it can take upto 30 seconds before the screen shows the message. During the time the phone freezes, even the hardware buttons are not responding. The symptom is the same on Exchange and Gmail accounts. Messages not having any attachments open in about 4 secs. I have tried to delete the accounts etc. but no joy.The mails are received as push, I have tried also scheduled receiving, offline mode etc. but the speed is the same. Is anyone else seeing this and is there anything to be done? The speed of the mail application is so poor that it prevents me to use the E7 as the business phone.

After resetting no problems for some hours. I get my e-mails and connection to internet. but then again...

OVI prompted me to download an app to improve mail for exchange display from 'text' display but now with my emails I get a message saying "Security policy that allows downloading HTML messages is disabled" but I cannot find a way to enable for HTML.
View 1 Replies View RelatedNokia E6 with Symbian Belle Refresh which I bought just a couple of days ago.It does not detect wifi internet connections at all, although they are available. When I go to settings -> connectivity and then select wifi, it searches connection for a while and then shows that none are found. Meanwhile, my old Nokia E72 remains connected to my home wifi without any problem... I am really surprised and disappointed. Also when I try to set up the connection manually, it doesn't work at all.I can't believe that such a device is being sold, a wifi connection is something extremely necessary nowadays in a smartphone. I was so attached to Nokia but I feel like it is my last Nokia phone because this is just unbelievable

When i'm in the menu and i want to go to contacts all i get is a black window that will close after 5 seconds. Now I want to slove that problem and copie all my contacts from my sim-card. This is supposed to be a business device, but when you add a Lotus Notes mailbox on it, you can't set it on your home screen. How about setting a default mailbox like in S60? View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently got the Nokia E-72 and after getting a new memory card just yesterday for it I am no longer able to open the Ovi Store application that was already installed on the phone. I also just installed the Ovi Suite on my computer and when it requests to install the "Support software" my phone just gives me the simple error of "Unable to install" with a red symbol next to the words. I also tried installing the Ovi Store from the web and I get the same Unable to Install error that I get when trying to install the Support Software. I already checked the "application manager" it is allows all applications to be installed. I've also tried reinstalling the software via the Ovi Suite and that doesn't do anything either. I looked up how to hard reset the phone as well, and I hold the correct buttons+the top power button at the same time while the phone is of f but it doesn't seem like it does anything when the phone comes back on. I wouldn't mind getting the phone to go back to square one as I haven't had the phone long enough to miss much besides my contacts which I can just synchronize.

View 3 Replies View RelatedBackground - 3 mail accounts set up, not via Nokia mail, but with direct server definitions; they are all for the same ISP, different ID's and passwords for inbound server, same ID and password for outbound server.I have noticed that if there is nothing thing in the in-basket for a given account the folders (inbox, Drafts, sent;outbox) do not appear in the dropdown - even though I know there are items in the "sent" folder.The moment something comes into the inbox - they re-appear - and the expected items are in the "sent" folder once again.Weird - and inconvenient, since it means you cannot access sent items if your inbox is empty.
