View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my E72 for about a year and a half now, and whereas originally I could charge it via USB, it stopped doing this after a software update. Soft resets, hard resets, OS update: nothing helps.
To clarify what exactly happens:I connect the E72 via USB. It beeps long, indicating that it's connected to 'PC suite', and short, indicating that it started charging. It keeps charging whilst the backlight is on.As soon as the backlight goes off, charging stops. The only way to have it charge again (at least, until the screen goes black again) is by removing and re-inserting the USB cable.
On a side note, it's this kind of behaviour, plus that the latest software update meant that you always go back to the top of the page when choosing 'back' in the browser (not a good thing on a smartphone - well, at least they fixed the text select), and the fact that OVI suite (compulsory if you want to do anything useful with your phone, like maps) fills up two-thirds of the screen with this useless shop of theirs, that I've come to the conclusion that my next phone is not going to be a Nokia - a brand I've been using since the late 90's.
But until my employer gives me an Android phone, it'd be nice if I could charge the E72 via USB.

I have a Nokia E5. I want to know how to turn off usb charging on my phone cause everytime my phone is connected to the pc for long hours it gets over charged.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday my E72 just started "charging" without being attached to electric charger or USB. It's charging for couple minutes and then stops. And that happens every half hour. I will turn it off, take out the battery and hopefully it will stop. This phone is becoming more and more buggy. At first it was fast and everything worked gr8. After time it started to give me error messages, memory messages and so on.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm having issues with my E63. Some mobile pages simply don't connect. They show a message saying user and password may be wrong, but they are not, because I connect to the same pages on my Mac and they work just fine, including Ovi Store. I can't login to Ovi Store via mobile. When I log in to Ovi Store from my Mac, I try to send apps to my phone, but I never get a response. I tried for 10 times to send Foursquare to my phone, but the message that said that I would receive them on my phone just never arrived.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am using a Nokia e63. At first, my WhatsApp wouldn't open and my phone is really slow anyway. So I synced my contacts, messages, photos and videos to my Nokia Suite, then did a hard reset to my phone; the *#7370#. When it's back on, I try to use messaging but it won't open. Downloaded WhatsApp again and it worked fine. Synced all nicely except for the messages. Guess it's because the messaging won't open. What's wrong with it. Furthermore, there's also other software that is preinstalled when I got it that won't open but I don't use them anyway. But I need my messaging. So please help. Also did the hard and soft reset again, still won't open. Got my friend to send me a text to see if I can receive it but I can't. So messaging not opening, not receiveing text, can't read texts since the program won't open.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had my X6 16GB for just over a year on a contract with O2, now I've not really had any problems with it, few bugs etc but nothing major. Recently out of the blue however it's decided it doesn't want to charge, the phone will show the charging indicator when the charger is plugged in however it will not charge the battery, then the battery will completely drain and I can no longer power the phone on.
The phone has a 2 year warranty and has just under a year left so it was sent back to O2 who have just said it is "Beyond economical repair" and sent me a broken phone back which is no use to me at all. I've had Nokia's for as long as I can remember but I'm not really quite sure what I'm to do with this one as at the moment it's a useless paper weight.
My battery died then I charged it and still the phone is radio off and the battery is full, and just shows the home page and I cant go to the menu or do anything? Cannot even connect to the PC.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my E5. I shut it down and charge it. When it's fully charged I remove the charger and the charging screen with the small battery in the top right corner doesn't go away. It stays in that screen. Then, when I turn it back on, immediately the password screen appears, without the Nokia/hands logo start screen and I get a notification, something to do with not being able to disable energy save mode. When I shut it down and start it up again, everything is normal. However, the problem with the charging screen is annoying to me.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI haven't seen the battery charging percentage while charging with the phone being switched off since I flashed code blue kernel. You know the white battery icon that shows when the phone is turned off but is charging? I don't see the 'blue' battery percentage text on that anymore. I flashed the factory images afterwards to see if that fixes it, but it didn't. Not a big deal but is definitely and odd quirk.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy E7 is 6 months old. The phone has not been damaged in any way but the charging port is faulty. I have tried different chargers and the same problem, , you have to wiggle the lead to make connection. Vodafone told me that this would be a wear and tear issue and therefore not covered under warranty. RUBBISH I say! If it has worn out then the phone is not "fit for purpose" I have spoken to Nokia who have advised me that they are seeing a problem with the charging port on a small number of the E7's. Nokia need to make Vodafone aware of this issue and Vodafone need to start listening to they loyal customer of over 20 years!

View 5 Replies View RelatedJust bought Nokia E5, 3 days ago!...Turned off the phone, put it on charge. A little sound indicated that the phone was fully charge after two hours, the screen was indicating that the battery was fully charged. Removed the plug from the outlet, to my suprise...the screen remained lit up, still indicating that the battery was full. I waited for several minutes, it was still the same. So i turned it on. Then i turned it off again, put it on charge again and the poblem was the same!
