Eseries / Communicators :: MA Strength Of E71's Battery Charger AC-5E
Apr 25, 2010
I think it says on my original E71's battery charger (AC-5E) that it comes with an output 5V-800mA (it is not clearly readable anymore).
However, all my other chargers have an 5V-350mA output, and when I load my E71 with them, it also takes waaay longer. But when I want to buy another charger (and I also checked the E71 page), it only says AC-5E, and I only find it with an 350mA output, never 800mA...
Ok, I have my E7, it charges fine hooked to the computer & to the wall charger. I have two different style USB Car Chargers, that I have used for my N900, My old Sidekick, iPod, Bluetooth....
Niether of these Car Chargers work, I have tried mutiple USB Cables with these USB chargers & nothing..... how can they work with my N900 & other devices, but yet my E7 does nothing when I plug them in?
I use the same cable I use hooking it to my computer, and even then.. nothing, but I know both these USB car chargers function fine. Something is wrong with the design of the phone?
Just got my E7 earlier this week. It will charge perfectly using the mains adaptor, and when I connect it to my PC via USB, it charges, but it will not work with the car USB charger that I have.I know the charger works, because I have used it on other phones, but it will not work on my E7.
I recently had to get a Nokia E7 as a replacement to my N900 which died and no longer stocked. My E7 has worked fine until recently, when I took it to a trip (keeping it within the UK) when I noticed it would not charge properly. It would say my charger (the wall charger which came with it, not the USB data cable) was a USB device it could not recognize! After great effort, I can get it to charge eventually, sometimes with it playing nice, sometimes it'll still say it doesn't recognize the USB device but charges (the charger plugged to the wall). This can happen both after an empty battery and when trying to charge it while there is still some charge in the phone.
Recently, I began to have this problem where the phone is showing full signal but the phone is actually not receiving any signal. So calls will not come in at all.
every time I plug the USB battery charger (nokia standard model), or when I connect E52 to my PC the phone goes in locked state and ask for the security/lock code to unlock it.I know it because it's the default 12345 and after pressing OK the phone continues to work, but if I disconnect USB and connect it again, it goes again to clocked state (like doing it with the power button). firmware is 71.004I have this problem sice some months, but I'm not sure when it started ... may be the last firmware upgrade ? Or the last reset of the phone ....
I currently have a black Nokia e71 and my charger (genuine nokia) recently has started falling out making it near enough impossible to charge whilst using the phone in my hand (I am addicted to my phone, lol). I have to put the phone on a flat surface like anyone would do, but apply a tv remote over the cable keeping it in a firm position for it to charge. The charger is really awkward with me
my nokia n8 wont turns on, it displays nokia when i plugin the charger or data cable and after few sec turns off again, i tried my best but it wont start
I've been using (not that heavy) the E6 for some days now and have noticed that the battery life is no where near as strong as specified as the specifications.
My old E71 performed better. The E6 uses more power yet the standby times are supposedly much improved compared to the E71 (which is ridiculous!) because both phones have the same battery strength.
Do you reckon Nokia have been too optimistic with their battery life specifications. I just feel a bit cheated because the battery life was one of the things I specifically investigated before purchasing the phone.
I'm really excited about the new E6 and has decided to buy it over the iPhone 3G S now available in India. But now my matter of concern is that I hear rumors that the talktime of the Nokia E6 is very less, much lesser than as claimed by Nokia!! Is this right?? Can anybody please clarify? Anybody having good and bad experiences with Nokia E6 are welcome to post their verdict on this phone
I have an E72 and I face a huge problem with the charge in the battery. I have replaced the battery with a standard BP 4L yesterday and I keep facing the same issue. Even after a full charge, I get a 'Battery Low' signal. Can anyone help me to figure out whether the problem is with the battery or the phone?
I just upgraded from an E71 to the E5, primarly to get a better battery life. I use Exchange ActiveSync, with 15 minute checks. My service is AT&T 3.5G, and I keep the radio in dual mode. In a normal day on the E71, I could get 12 hours of use out of the phone before running the battery down.
Out of the box, same settings, my E5 is getting about 4-6 hours. Longer if I don't make any phone calls. But if I talk on the phone for 20-30 minutes, it will last around 4 hours total.
I am in the Dallas, TX market, and got the phone from Amazon. Has anyone else had similar experience? Any recommendation? This is really bad, and I am about ready to just return the phone to Amazon, and go back to my E71
since i bought my E63 i have changed the battery up to 3 times, each of them keep increasing in size and eventually deteriorates in battery life..even the present one has stated the same thing.what do i do to stop dis?
My battery Inidcator in the top right of the screen on my nokia e72 is always full and never drops?I installed Ion Battery Timer and it says battery was at 57% after a day or so of usage. but meanwhile the battery indicator says it full?
Ive tried flashing and hard-resetting the phone but nothing changes?
Ive owned the phone since the first of feb this year, and just noticed this now.
I'm experiencing problems with my phone battery life. When I charge the phone it tells me that the battery is full but after 10-15 min it tells me it's empty again. This is strange as I bought two other new batteries and it's the same issue. I'm suspecting that it has nothing to do with the battery. My software version is 081.003. model E72-1
All the reviews said E6 has a good standby time. But this seems to last me less than a blackberry fone. A fully charged fone doesnt last me beyond half a day whereas BB gave almost a full day with the same usage.
Has anyone else noticed a dramatic decrease in battery backup after the upgrade ?I distinctly remember getting more than 2 days worth of juice when on 0.91, but after the upgrade, the phone barely sees a day at full charge.Nokia guys, what changed ?
I have a new e5. The battery drain over night ( over night= no usage ) is bad. Even with power saver mode on over night drain is about minimum 2 bars. Also unplug charger warning shows again long after charger has been disconnected.
I've had my e5-00 for about a year now and I could always get around 3 - 4 days of use out of it without charging. Now, after upgrading to 081.004, the battery doesn't even last for a day. I have to charge it approx. every 20 hours and that's without calling, texting, browsing or using the phone at all really. Wifi and bluetooth are turned off and I didn't change any other settings.
I'm using a Nokia E71, when i try to use the Maps GPS and video calling on 3G,within 30 second the battery low will appear and shut down the phone even it is fully charge. I can only use it while on charging. It's not a new unit but i wish to know if it's the battery problem or the hardware problem?
I have a nokia E71 and I am having problems with the battery. in standby with nothing working, not even in the background, it does not last more than 7 hours! I changed battery, updated firmware but nothing..I know all the strategies of going off 3g, lower screen brightness and so on but it does not work, It is not handy to go around with two batteries!
how is everyone getting on with anna esp.. in context with the battery life.. My phone gave me almost 48hrs before now after update its come down one n half day... same usage same apps..
