I just bought my E72 a day ago and tried to listen to one of the default videos. Had the volume level on max, even then the sound/music is not /barely audible. Moreover the Talking display also is not actually loud enough to be able to hear from a hands distance.
I bought a Nokia E7 yesterday. My previous phone for E61i. I see that the speaker volume is too low in E7. I have set the volume to max using the volume control but still the volume is too low compared to E61i. I find it difficult to do calls with loud speaker on. I do lot of conf calls and this is very important for me.
I did few video recordings and found that the sound output is sort of metallic.
I have now been using my E7 for a few days and I love it, but there is one thing that strikes me. Compared to my N8, where I have crystal clear sound in the speaker, my E7 has low volume and a "metallic" tinge to the sound. I just now made a Skype call and it was the same there.

mine was not a firmware or software mine was simply the earpiece clogged up with dirt & grease.there is a fine wire gauze and it clogs up.it almost totally deadened the sound in a call.remove the front cover using a cheap hex screw remover tool.watch this useful Internet video for help. url...without any electronics attached to the front cover rinse it in a bleach/ hot water solution & soaked for 30min. to dissolve the grease.low pressure compressed air through the back holes helps to finish cleaning out the greasy dirt.rinse in clean water and dry totally before reassembly.my phone has now returned to original perfect volume. phone has been to nokia and returned not fixed so did it myself.
my nokia e71x recently started giving me a very static-y signal when making or receiving calls. my voice apparently sounds fine to whoever i'm talking to but what i hear in the earpiece is full of static, as if the signal is very weak. this is happening no matter where i am (even in places where i know the signal is strong). i'm in new york city. the speaker appears to be ok when doing other things, e.g. watching video clips on Internet. it's just phone calls that sound **bleep**.this just started in the last few days. it's possible the phone was exposed to heat, sand and (maybe) water as we were recently on vacation, but other than the bad sound everything works and looks fine.my contract is about up so i may just replace it anyway, but i'd like to know if this is fixable. i tried removing the battery and sim card, making sure all were clean and dry and putting them back.
My external speaker sounds distorted when playing music / lound ringing, and when I use it as a handsfree, I can barely understand what the other person is saying. Is it really this bad, or should I take it to a Nokia service centre?
The music volume in maximum volume while using earphones is too low in my E5-00 compared to Nokia Xpressmusic 5310. Is it normal for E5 or is there anything I can do to make the music volume loud.
When using speakerphone on E52 sound volume is too low. Even if I keep it on max,it's still too low.Considering that ringtones can be played with a lot stronger volume using the same speaker (as speakerphone does) - I assume there must be a "trick" to pump up the volume of speakerphone, right ?Any code or workaround ??? This is somewhat silly situation, ringtones quite loud, speakerphone too low
I just bought an E55, my first impressions are excellent, except for one thing: the volume of the music player when using the provided headset is too low! Also trying other headsets didn't help much. When setting the maximum volume, it can be ok for a quiet environment such as home, but it's still useless on the road, in the underground, and in other noisy environments where the ambient noise covers the music. The same files play much louder when using the same headset on my old Nokia 5300.I also tried playing around with the equalizer but it didn't help. Is there any way to work around this? Some hidden settings? Some other music player I can install? Some better headset?
Just bought a Nokia E5-00. Although the sound quality is pretty good, the volume in my headphones is low for outside noise (tried 4 pairs, sennheiser, akg, iphone and the ones that came with the phone) . Is there a way to increase the volume in the headphones, or a music player that has an option like that ?
It would be good to have more than 10 volume levels (20 for example is good) when pressing + or - buttons on the side for changing volume. Many times I need volume level between those avaliable ones when listening music. Looking forward to see this on new software update.
I've got some channels saved in my favourites but can't figure out how to change the volume. With FM, it's obvious but not so (to me anyway!) with internet radio.
When I use the Media Player it seems to be playing MP3 not on a speaker, but on a loudspeaker only. How do I mute the loudspeaker volume when playing my MP3 recordings - basically what I need is to be able to play recordings on a speaker (but not on a loudspeaker, which is on a back side of the phone - next to camera)
I've a Nokia E6-00, when I want to watch live (i.e. a TV channel) from the website, I see perfectly the video but have no audio (and volume setting is at the top). I've tried with headphones, loudspeaker, in dual mode (3G and GSM).
I am having an issue with the volum up button to the side (the volum down works just fine). Is there and alterantive way to increase the phones volume (when playing music). I cant seem to find the setting to do that.
I have had a white Z5 Compact for a week and have now noticed that the bottom speaker is much louder than the top, ruining the stereo effect. I am sure it did not come this way out of the box. I didn't notice until after the recent firmware update (32.0.A.6.152), but cannot know whether this is the cause of the problem. I went through the hassle of factory reset and the phone still has the problem. I haven't subjected the phone to any physical trauma at all and will be returning it.
As of the 5th of May, the sound from the speaker and sound jack has had random crackles in any sound that is played, either from someone ringing me, an alarm or just from the music player
Just noticed that the speaker volume on my 3GS is a fair bit lower than it should be. My daugher's 3GS is much louder. Actually hard to hear the ringer when outside. Volume is set to full. Could it be dirt in the speaker grill? Headphone volume is fine.
I have problems with speakers and headset. Even at highest level it's sometimes hard to hear. For example GPS indications in the car. But also with Headset, if people are talking nearby I can't even hear the music! Is there some kind of security switch?
I bought a Nokia Lumia 920 three weeks and I am not disappointed. So far, other than problems that will be corrected in the next update, I am experiencing a low volume, when talking with someone in the loud speaker. Even at 30/30, I have to become closer to the phone to ear what the other person is saying. The problem seems to be related to the calls in the using the loudspeaker only because when listening to music or videos the loudspeaker volume seems to be ok.
I have the xperia ray, and I have it with android 4.0.4, and my problem is that when I put music in the speaker with maximum volume, the sound is excellent, but when a I make a call and I put the speaker at maximum level, the audio has poor volume
Just got a Lumia 950 about 4-5 days ago. I've updated to the latest version and have already loaded it up with music from my MicroSD.
I've noticed that when I play music at full blast (30/30 volume), the volume seems to drop a little, and then slowly picks back up. This repeats about 3-4 times per song. I tend to listen to music in the shower, and I have realized the drop in volume for two days now.
Experienced putting music aloud and noticing the drop in volume from the speaker, even though it is set to 30/30. Voltage issue maybe?
Noticed the speaker volume for ringtones and music and such is much quieter than the Lumia 928? On volume 25 or so it sounds as loud as my 928 at like 16 or 17...
My speaker seems very quiet compared to my wife's phone which is exactly the same. Iv done the YouTube tutorials but no luck there. Other than swapping it with her in doors, is there something I'm missing.
My wife and I have new 3gs iphones with AT&T and I've noticed over the past 2-3 days my speaker volume has decreased to a point it's very noticeable compared to hers. I've made sure all volume levels are set to max on both phones, called a recorded msg and we both can hear a big difference between the two phones whether on speaker on not. In fact it's getting hard for me to hear someone unless I have volume set to max where 3 days ago and back I had volume set to ~ 75% of max. I've read about cleaning speaker covers, etc. but not sure if I should do this. My iphone is appx. 6 weeks old and hers in less than 4 weeks. Not sure if there is some setting I may have 'messed' with or not.
