When I use the Media Player it seems to be playing MP3 not on a speaker, but on a
loudspeaker only.How do I mute the loudspeaker volume when playing my MP3 recordings - basically what I need is to be able to play recordings on a speaker (but not on a loudspeaker, which is on a back side of the phone - next to camera)
The loudspeaker on my phone works perfectly when I'm receiving phone calls etc but when i start playing music or watch videos the sound goes to the earpiece and I cant find an option to change it to loudspeaker. Would anyone know how to change it back to loudspeaker?

Also trying other headsets didn't help much.When setting the maximum volume, it can be ok for a quiet environment such as home, but it's still useless on the road, in the underground, and in other noisy environments where the ambient noise covers the music.The same files play much louder when using the same headset on my old Nokia 5300.I also tried playing around with the equalizer but it didn't help. View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently installed a 4 MB software update through the 'Update software' service in my phone.
I`m facing some major issues with it:
1) The reception has become really bad now! Earlier i never experienced call drops but now they are so frequent.
2) The flash remains on even if u switch it off in the still picture mode. This means when u click a pic, till the time the autofocus is running the flash will remain on.
It is very uncomfortable as everybody around u comes to know that u are taking a pic. Very embarrasing if u want to click secretly.
3) 'Flash Auto' has also become unresponsive. In the same lit room in 1 direction the flash would auto on, in another it wont.
4) The loudspeaker cracks at max volume. This wasnt the case earlier.
The sony ericsson website says sony phones cannot be downgraded. Is it true? Can i never get my original software again?
I am having an issue with the volum up button to the side (the volum down works just fine). Is there and alterantive way to increase the phones volume (when playing music). I cant seem to find the setting to do that.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a Nokia E7 yesterday. My previous phone for E61i. I see that the speaker volume is too low in E7. I have set the volume to max using the volume control but still the volume is too low compared to E61i. I find it difficult to do calls with loud speaker on. I do lot of conf calls and this is very important for me.
I did few video recordings and found that the sound output is sort of metallic.
Probably 60% of the time when I hit the volume down button the option to change the Ringer/Notifications and the Media/Apps volume comes up. I can then, of course, mute the volume on each of those or obviously adjust the volume. However, the other 40% of the time, only the volume for Media/Apps comes up, with no option for the Ringer.
I think this tends to happen when I'm in my car which is communicating with my phone via Bluetooth....could that have a connection to this issue? Also, is there an easier way to mute the phone quickly? Cortana does not seem to perform the mute feature.
I have a Samsung s6 running 5.1.1 however when I'm at the gym with my headphones in the volume turns itself down to mute.
It's not a button being accidently pressed as when I turn it back up whilst still in my hand it turns back down..
I have the sound alive turned off and the volume adjustment setting is off. I've tried a restore. It's getting on my nerves now to be honest as when I'm running on the treadmill I either have to stop or just run with no music on.

The volume button adjusts the ringtone volume. When it is pushed all the way down, it switches to vibrate. If I accidentally push it once more, it switches to mute. I want the phone to always vibrate, regardless of whether the ringer is on or not. I don't want the volume button to adjust vibration.

Compared to my N8, where I have crystal clear sound in the speaker, my E7 has low volume and a "metallic" tinge to the sound. I just now made a Skype call and it was the same there.

Referring to Nokia 5800, is their a simpler way to access the Volume/Ringer controls other than going into Profiles? I read somewhere about being able to create a Shortcut in my Apps to these functions.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I change the position of the Mute/Silent switch, I get the icon to change (either the bell or the bell with the line through it), but the phone continues to right and never goes on silent. If the icon changes, it seems the switch must work physically, right? As far as I know, I haven't changed any settings.
