Eseries / Communicators :: Try To Modify Before Opening It Takes 20 Seconds?
Dec 22, 2011After many troubles with my E7 has been changed by Nokia already 2 times cause to battery problems I still have many problems and would like to know how to solve them. The calendar is super super slow !! If I try to change day it takes a lot of time and IMPOSSIBLE to modify an eventif I try to modify before opening it it takes 20 seconds. Other problem is Phone Book it is crazy we can not modify the details in the contacts. Example I would like to add 2 or 3 mobile numbers but NEED to change and personalize the tag as "mum phone" or personal mobile or second mobile but I can t ! Or you house the tags already done like office, personal or similar in E7 or impossible to personalize the like it was on E90 Other important problem Is there a way to print my calendar and my phone book ?? The sw version I have is Symbian Anna 0.22.014 2011.07.05 / 022.014.211.03 2011 07 16 but on Nokia site it seems there is a new version for Anna but if I try to update my phone it says there are no new versions.is it normal

Sep 28, 2011When going in "locked" mode for keys and screen (automatically, or by doing it myself via the Key lock switch ), this also locks the "call key", making it impossible to answer an incoming call by merely pressing the call key. I first have to unlock keys and screen by using the Key lock switch. I have all the latest updates installed and already tried the obvious like restarting the phone, getting called by several fixed and mobile phones (to detect a 'pattern' - without success, as strangely enough 1 time out of 10 the key DOES respond as expected), changing the settings for the automatic key-locking,.

Jan 1, 2011Try the remote lock message (message you sent in the SMS to lock the phone remotely) as the memory card unlock password.I upgraded my phone from v210.21.006 to v500.21.009 today. Took all the usual precautions like removing remote lock (didn't reset the custom lock code to default) backup content to PC & memory card, then removed the card from the phone before upgrade. Then after upgrade and restoring settings inserted the card & was prompted for a password. Tried lock code/default lock code before and various other passwords before figuring out it might be the message text for the remote lock.

The light on the keyboard lights up fine but the screen backlight only comes on when I push down hard on a certain part of the screen or give it a good whack. Apr 4, 2012My E7 is screen is freezing up after a phone call or just after general use. It keeps happening every day. I must force a power rebooot to get the phone working again. I have called Nokia and have exhusted every option which included reloading Bella. Last resort is Nokia want's me to send my phone to Texas for a tech to investagate the problem. I think there is some kind of software problem with the locking of the phone screen and the locking switch logic on the side of the phone. When the problem happens the sceen will not work to my touch. The sceen freezes without touching.

Dec 13, 2010I've just bought the E5 and I have a problem: when I look at the screen from an angle slightly to the right, it looks perfect, only a little brighter; however, when I look at the screen from an angle slightly to the left, I can read nothing on the screen, because it gets very dark. Mar 6, 2012Sometimes when the phone is locked, a rectangle apprears on the screen with numeral 112 inside. I can ignore this and unlock the phone and it works fine. But it returns when I lock the phone. The only way to remove this is to switch off and on.

With the almost over-sensitive touch screen interface there is a constant danger of hitting a function by accident, therefore one must have the screen locked at all times. However, it would be important to see the home screen or the running application. I need to see the screen, with or without backlight, not a clock display or blank screen. With S60 this was no problem, that's why I have an E72 for backup and SSH use. The E7 would be a better phone for this, if only it would show the contents of the screen while being screenlocked.

May 25, 2011The touchscreen on my E7 becomes unresponsive while charging. Essentially it seems to be losing it's accuracy. It stilll works somewhat but you have to tap all over the screen to get a response, and then it's not the one you want.
