Mar 5, 2010I can put a iPhone together with my eyes closed but when you are talking about jailbreaking and syncing I havent done much of it so I need some help. I have a 3Gs 16gb 3.1.3 NOT jailbroke or unlocked. I didnt see the need before so I updated it and now I want to tether with my pc backed it up before I sent it in to Apple for warrany work. I transferred my info to a 3G 8gb that was 3.1.2, it is jailbroke. when I transfered my info from my 3gs it changed my 3g to 3.1.3 (but it did not updated the firmware through iTunes cause I was watching for it) but anyway the 3g is still jailbroke.
I got my new 3gs from Apple today and want to syn my old info plus maybe some new info from the 3g over the last several days and put it all on my 3gs. I really only need my contacts, my text messages, and apps if I can but I can manually download the apps again if need be but I have 100's of contacts for both of my business.

I have no such icon on my S6, so must wait for the next scheduled sync, I set it to 15 minutes. It does have a setting to set it to "Manual Sync" only, but I can't find a button or icon to do a manual sync.

Mar 27, 2012Ever since I got iTunes 10 I have been having problems with podcasts.
My iPhone 4 will not allow podcasts to be manually added. It will only allow podcasts to be synced by playlists. This is a pain because podcasts constantly get new episodes and I shouldn't have to create a specific playlist EVERYDAY. By the way the "manaully add songs and videos" button is CHECKED and has always been checked. The only time I'm able to manually add podcasts is when the iphone syncs the podcast playlist. And sometimes this doesn't work.

IPhone :: Manually Sync'ing Movies
Apr 1, 2012I am a OSX 10.7.3 and iOS 5.1 user and am unclear about sync'ing movies and videos from my mac to my iPhone. I've done lots of this in the other direction but I'm trying this direction for the first time.
On the iTunes Summary tab I have selected Manually Manage Music and Videos. Now I want to select Sync Movies on the Movies tab but I get this message: "All existing songs, movies, and TV shows will be removed from your iPhone and replaced with movies from your iTunes library." I'm very confused by this message.
Why would iPhone songs be removed when I'm trying to sync movies? Any other words of advice would also be apprectiated.

Sep 2, 2014Last year when Apple upgraded their software, I lost the ability to sync my iPhone and iPad to my iMac. Because I store a lot of personal customer data, I want to sync directly, not through iCloud. I read in August 2013 that Apple was in the beta version of a fix for this problem, but have not seen any resolution in software updates that I have downloaded.Â

May 13, 2012In order to save energy, I told my S2 not to sync mails automatically. That works fine, I can just hit the "update" button. But is there a similar way to sync the calendar (or contacts)?
Maybe I looked the wrong places but it occurs to me I can either have sync on or not--and if I want to sync manually, I have to got to Settings->Accounts & Sync->Choose Account->Sync--that's a bit cumbersome.

BB Bold 9700 :: Seperate Email Icon For One Specific Account
Jan 2, 2010Just got my new Bold today. An upgrade from the old bold. On that one I had an email icon which was just for my BT emails and I used this rather than the messages one which included everything (aim, BBM, Emails). I don't see this icon on the new Bold. Is it not possible to have it anymore? I don't like having to wade though everything that goes into messages to get to my emails.

Aug 2, 2012I found myself doing so much stuffs on my  9700 last nite, things that got me confusing at some point which made me sleep off. I woke up 2day to play music (as usual) and suddenly discovered that my default music icon isn't displayed, with just video, picture, video cam and etc just showing. I did a search on my home screen and discovered it, but it just wasn't showing normal, it showed faintly kind of although it still played my music from there. But still going through 'the media' again, its not showing...ts more like I have to always play my music through searching on my homescreen.

This is a clean install and syncing address book and contacts works fine. Syncing the calendar fails every time on entry 597 of 616. Why is it failing on this one specific entry and which one in my calendar is it? Also, what was the last Desktop Manager software version that included the Redirector?

Jan 20, 2010When syncing device (BB storm 1 9500) the device and the computer talk and compare each others records. When I click accept changes I get an error message from Intellisync "Connector specific error" and synchronization stops. I have checked my wife's device (BB storm 1 9500) and this problem does not occur. I use the same USB port, cable, and folder with all the same options. I therefore assume it is a fault with my device.

1. Does the mail client allow you to create an icon for a specific email account on the main screen? I'm looking for something similar to my Blackberry where I have icons for each of the email accounts that the phone is monitoring. I don't care for the iphone where you have to click through the email client to bring up a different email account.
2.How is the media player?I hope to replace my ipod touch with the N1.I mostly listen to long MP3s of radio shows and have to frequently use my finger to FFW 10 or so minutes within a file that is 6 hours long. I finally got used to doing this on the touch, and I am hoping that the interface on the N1 would also allow such fine skipping within such a large file.
3.Is it any good for playing movies?
4.Does the email client let you specify an email check period? The smallest period on the iphone is 15 minutes, but I would like to enter a smaller value to help ease the transition from Blackberry push email if I were to make the switch to the N1.
IPhone :: 3gs - Couldnt Sync Due To Required File Not Found
Feb 27, 2010I have a new iphone 3gs. Just got it yesterday. I hooked it up to Itunes and it connected. But gave me some errors that it couldn't sync due to required file not found. I unplugged the iphone and restarted the PC. Plugged it back in and then it gave an error. It cannot read the contents of the iphone go to the summary page and do a restore. I did a full restore and put it back to factory settings. Plugged it in and Itunes saw it but again would not sync due to file not found or other errors. Unplugged it and back in and now it again says it cannot read the contents of the iphone and I need to do a restore. I tried 2 other computers it says the same thing.

Apr 3, 2012I've recently bought an iphone 4s, but I'm having trouble synching my itunes to my iphone. It seems to synch for a few moments, the top of my itunes tells me that it's synching 'step 2 of 5' for example, but it never completes it, and my music never appears on my iphone.
It says that the iphone could not be synched because the required disk could not be found. Itunes is not the default player for audio files, could this have something to do with it?
