I just updated my 8530 software (I have sprint) and after the update the lock icon is no where to be found.I didn't remove or delete it to my knowledge and now can find it anywhere.
View 8 RepliesHere's the thing, after hooking up my curve in the computer. I cant view my pictures or songs on the phone. But when I hook it up again to check in the media card if it is not really there anymore yet apparently they are still save in the card. So, I can just view my songs and pictures on the computer but not in my phone. What should I do to view them back in my phone?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my 8520 to v5.0.0.681 then when I checked for options > applications I see app world, app center and BB maps but when I checked it on folders (downloads, applications, games, etc.). I can't find any of them. I did reboot the phone, pulled the battery reinstalled the OS but then still having the same problem.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded the new OS when I plugged my phone to the computer... it sounded like a good idea to upgrade everything but I do not like how the UNlock function is only through the mute button now. I mean, if I wanted to just lock/unlock my phone that way with the push of only one button, I could use the standby (mute) button and press on it again to unlock it before. I really liked the previous version where you had to take the extra step of pushing two buttons (A and Send) to unlock it. Because I unlock my phone by accident a lot when it's in my purse and I reach for something and accidentally press the top button (mute button). Any ideas if Blackberry is planning on a new OS version soon that would restore the old locking/unlocking system? I do not necessarily want to downgrade to a previous OS version but I might have to as the "easy" one-button only unlocking option is not working for me.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen i want to lock my Blackberry curve 8530 i just press the A key. But when i want to unlock, the message shows up to press the MUTE botton. I have a plastic case on it, so everytime I go to press the Mute buton, I have to take the case off. Now my fiance has the same exact phone, and when he wants to unlock, the message says to press the A key with the send/call key.

I can hold the A button and put it in what seems to be sleep mode, but my name and info does not show up on the home screen anymore. And you now push the mute button to unlock the keyboard. These are the only changes I have noticed. I liked the other way better.

The red light for notification isn't flashing unless I receive another. And the icon is also displayed at the top of pages for other applications. It has a 3 and right next to it is a black circle with a red mark on upper right edge of circle. Almost resembles the old round cartoon bombs from years ago. Just showed up on my phone last week.

It is the twitter symbol "t" with a number 9 next to it - I pressume it is telling me I have messages, but I do not. I went to bb website to download, but it says unsupported. well, sorta because 8520 doesn't have gps, but why it is installed if it can't be used?
Each time my phone has to restart or reboot, my email icon which is AOL(green envelope w/ a blue AOL/logo @ bottom of envelope) disappears and the standard icon appears in home screen. Before to get it back, i go to email setup and delete it then add it back, then AOL icon returns. Now doing it the same way, my green AOL icon does not return anymore! just the standard one, can anybody help on how to get it back? Please!!Thanks!!

View 5 Replies View Relatedmy Yahoo Mail icon decided to go missing (again) after I did a battery pull. Normally, I can resend service books once or twice and it'll pop back up. This time, however, no such luck. I've resent services books (around 20 times or more). I've deleted service books all together and then resent them. I've deleted the email all together and readded it. I've tried with another Yahoo address. Nothing is able to bring back my beloved icon. Does anyone else have any ideas as to how to bring it back? I really hate the mail icon with the little globe and I'm pretty sure I'd do whatever it takes to get my Yahoo icon back.
