My browser icon is no where to be found on my phone. I can not locate it in the main menu or on my home screen. I have tried wiping my phone clean and reinstalling all apps, and no success. How do I get my browser icon back on my phone?

I bought a Sprint 8330 from a guy on Craigslist, and it worked fine until my girlfriend freaking wiped my phone trying to guess my password. So I got on crackberry and followed the instructions from Lecture 12 of the BB 101 and got it up and running again. Or so I thought.. Now, I have no browser icon whatsoever, and all of my MMS options are gone. I believe the phone had OS4.3 before because now all of my home screen stuff looks different along with my inbox. I just wanna have my MMS and Internet back. Should I go back to 4.3? Or is this something really easy that I just don't know because I'm a first time BB user? Help pls?
Also! I had the phone flashed over to work with Cricket Mobile. I doubt that has anything to do with it though considering my MMS and internet still worked then.
I am getting the unable to display message on multiple websites: example: fark.com/pda. I have tried everything listed on the forums. I even re-sent the host routing table and tried re-provisioning. Nothing worked.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to read individual emails when using the Outlook Web Access site in the internet browser window.I am using this to check work email and would rather do it this way (over the internet) than using the e-mail client that is part of the device. I'm able to log-in to my inbox and see everything I should see, however when I try clicking on an individual email to read it, nothing happens. I've tried clicking on the sender's name, the subject line and everything else on the line for that email. When I do that nothing happens.Am I doing this wrong? Is there somewhere else I'm suppose to click? Is there possibly some setting that needs to be turned on or maybe one that is on that should be unchecked?Any help would really, really be appreciated.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk, my SMS icon has disappeared for no particular reason. Nothing I've seen in other threads is helping. I have an 8330 from NTelos. I also keep getting the "nullpointer" exception after battery pulls.
-It is NOT hidden
-It is NOT combined
-battery pull does nothing
-the software is updated
-'restore theme defaults' did not fix it
-changing from 3rd party theme to stock theme did not fix it
-re-registering with the network did not fix it
-uninstalling/reinstalling BBM does not help
anything else i can reasonably try before i throw it out the window?
The browser icon on my display does not seem to work. If i click on it nothing happens.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy data port on my 3 month old 8330 died and Sprint gave me a new one today. The contacts were transferred at the store - but after I restored from my DM backup done one week ago - none of my other settings were restored. What did I do wrong or what have I missed? Sprint rep told me the backup restore would get my new 8330 back to being just like the old one - but it's not.I want to get my email settings, apps, ring tones, wallpapers etc, back. I don't want to have to create everything over again when I have a good backup.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked storm and use tmobile as my carrier. Two weeks ago I found that my browser icon had disappeared. I stopped recieving emails and no messages from blackberry messenger. I called Tmobile and they referred me to RIM. When talking to the folks at RIM they say its a Tmobile issue.Host routing table has no entries and no browser or email service books.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm not 100% sure what happened to it, today I got a brand new 9300 and I connected it to my wi-fi connection and I visited a few pages, after that I put my sim card into it topped my phone up and connected my phone to the BIS as I only set up the BIS today I have to wait for upto 24 hours for it to work, in this space of time my browser icon has dissapeared completely it still appears in Core Applications but I have looked in every folder i have and cannot find it or how I could get it back?

View 14 Replies View RelatedIt seems like it happened after I plugged my bb into the computer for the first time. My wall charger will not charge my phone. I know it's not a problem with my charger because I was able to charge my old razr with the charger. And i've tried numerous wall outlets, so it's not the outlet I was using either.
My phone charges when I plug it into the computer, so i'm not sure whats going on. I just got this phone a few months ago after having problems with my oldd blackberry.
I don't want to have to get rid of my bb, because for the most part I love it, so has anyone had to deal with this? And maybe fixed it without having to spend money?!
I tried to watch a video on foxsports.com and the following message comes up:"no video format for your phone".There seems to be no other issues with the site (thumbnails and article is clear).Is there any way I can watch videos from this site (or any site that gives this message)?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Curve 8330. Had it for about a week, maybe less. Everything was fine until a couple of days ago when the sounds stopped working. Ring tones, incoming text message beeps, etc. just stop working.When I go into the sounds options to preview ringtones, etc. and click play, the play button goes from play, to stop, immediately, regardless of how long the tune is supposed to be.The only thing I've found to fix it, is to pull the battery.

If I try and switch applications the phone states that your device dose not currently have any browser configuration service book entires. Please contact your service prodiver to enable the browser on your device. The thing is I have just recently moved from Ireland to Canada and I am currently on an Irish provider, but I have not got the data plan and never have had a data plan. I access the browser through wi-fi connections. The wifi has always worked even when I arrived in Canada. now that I have been here for a week it has suddenly stopped. I have trid the host routing table, taken the sim out, taken the battery out and tried rebooting it.

If I select the Hotspot Browser icon and then press the Menu key, I get kicked into the main menu. Have searched far and wide for the answer to this problem, but no luck. Most posts complaining about the Hotspot Browser are about getting a connection to the Internet. I am not even that far -- the browser simply doesn't load.I have a BB email plan and wifi. The wifi works fine for email with the mobile network turned off, so I know that my Wifi settings are fine.

Anywho, he has something set up that when he gets a phone call and doesn't want to answer it he just hits ignore and has it set up that it will automatically send a text message to that number saying "i'm in a meeting I will call you back" is this possible to set up with a Blackberry Curve 8330 on Sprint? a) turn it off
b) charge it via USB
c) turn it on.
The Mobile network comes up as off.

I have two Blackberry 8330's here. One is a 8330 and the other is a 8330m. The 8330m receives MMS pictures embedded and the 8330 receives an SMS with a link to look at the picture online.I know this isn't new but I haven't been able to find any solution to this if there even is one.
One thing I found is that somewhere it was said that the two phones receive different types of Service books depending on the model.Now, maybe this is a stupid question but I am asking it anyways .Can I somehow copy the MMS service book from the 8330m and put in on my older 8330 ? If it's possible, will this fix the MMS as an SMS link problem ?
Would like to use Blackberry Maps but the icon is nowhere on my home page or any folders. The software is there, as I have seen it on the applications list and when it was installed.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI found myself doing so much stuffs on my 9700 last nite, things that got me confusing at some point which made me sleep off. I woke up 2day to play music (as usual) and suddenly discovered that my default music icon isn't displayed, with just video, picture, video cam and etc just showing. I did a search on my home screen and discovered it, but it just wasn't showing normal, it showed faintly kind of although it still played my music from there. But still going through 'the media' again, its not showing...ts more like I have to always play my music through searching on my homescreen.

I have to read the number, memorize it, close the browser, and push in the numbers manually. T-Mobile keeps telling me that it is the webpage that I am on, but it clearly not that. OS 6.0 is quite the downgrade. Can anybody hear any of the lousy notifers that they call ringtones? The helpdesk directs you to buy ringtones from appworld.

Everything I have read states that Java is not supported on the Blackberry. Looking at the phone information it states that he device is Java Powered.Can anyone tell me if running java applets from the browser is possible on a Blackberry Curve 8530? If I can't run Java Applets, this device is useless to me.I already know this problem is not a result of not enabling JavaScript. The problem I'm having has nothing to do with JavaScript.
