i ve restroed my c7 in factory reset option by deleting all data and restore all done well i updated symbian anna 1/2 and 2/2 also service pack and ovi store app ut the ovi store app is no working i ve uninstalled and installed again several times but it doesnt work

I connect my phone to the pc, and the recognizes it, so i go to the update section in nokia suite 3.3.86, it then says my phones current software is 022.014, i click refresh, and it says my phone is up to date, but i know it isnt! View 5 Replies View RelatedI am unable to connect my E72 in PC suite mode via USB. It was working just fine earlier. The weird thing is that it works fine on Bluetooth. Other modes (Mass Storage) are working fine via USB. So USB port/wire is fine. The only thing that isn't working via USB is the PC Suite mode. I have tried selecting PC Suite mode in Settings> Connectivity> USB and also tried changing the Ask on connection option but it doesn't work. When I plugin my phone via usd, it prompts me to select the mode, if I select PC Suite it doesn't work, If I chose a mode other than PC suite, it works just fine.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI just bought a N97 Mini because of the free navigation. Using the phone for calls works fine, however I cannot connect it to Ovi Suite. Somehow Ovi Suite keeps on trying to contact my phone, which is connected via the USB cable. I've installed and removed Ovi Suite a couple of times, but it still doesn't work. Even synchronisation of contacts doesn't work.
Software version is 11.0.102. (adapted version 11.0.102.c01.01)
PC is XP and I've downloaded the latest Ovi Suite.
I have never been able to get Ovi siute to work on my laptop.I'm running Wondows Vista and have tried removing all Nokia programs and drivers and doing a fresh install but I still get the same notice every time I try to open Ovi suite."A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.Windows will close the program and notify youif a solution is available."

I am using PC Suite 7.1.40.6, under Windows XP Pro SP3. I have a 6600 fold phone, with the latest firmware (5.60). I connect via USB cable. PC Suite works perfectly apart for one thing. I cannot get the Sync function to work at all. If I run it, the program starts, and shows the phone as being properly detected and connected. However, if I press the Sync button or the Settings button, absolutely nothing happens! No error messages, just nothing. The only thing I have which I can sync with is Outlook Express, but surely even if I had no compatible programs installed I should still get something when I press the Settings button at least? I've tried repairing/reinstalling PC Suite and no difference. As i said, all other functions work fine.

My USB port is working fine as I am able to charge and connect in media transfer mode. It just doesn't work when the OVI suite mode is enabled.how I can work around this please. I use OVI suite a lot as I do most of my messaging through the PC. When will Nokia release a new edition of the OVI Suite that will work well with Windows 8. On once occasion, I was able to reinstall OVI suite by right clicking and selecting Windows 7 in compatibility settings and by running the program as administrator. However, even that doesn't seem to be working anymore.

N900 says nothing.Backups and contacts sync with Ovi Suite works ok.Sync used to work earlier. The only thing I've done is that I've installed the Hildon patch, that fixes the "jumping" phone answer UI (from maemo.org). Should have nothing to do with sync, but who knows.Ovi Suite is of last available version on Win7/32bit and N900 has PR 1.2.

At the settings I could choose my nsf database an save it. Now I would sync the Notes calender with the PC Suite. Sync is starting and I got the question about the password from the notes nsf and go ahead. Now I got the message, a pop up from PC sync " notes/company/de!!mail/person.nsf, file is missing ". View 1 Replies View RelatedFirstly, I've had a problem ticket and Emails with Nokia Support on the problem I'm about to describe and I'm told it will be forwarded to the OVI Suite Team to investigate.Basic problem is that Ovi Suite can not correctly register/recognise the maps it has downloaded to the phone.However the phone checks the server with it's map update function and reports back that they are at the latest level and no updates are available. Ovi Suite tells me correctly the maps I have on my phone but still offers the " 'gold star' Updated Maps Available" and if you then click this BOOM! all your phone maps are wiped out as the new maps start to download.VERY VERY annoying and expensive in time and financially costly on internet connections with limited/paid for bandwidth.I can confirm, as support have, that I have the lastest versions of phone software, maps software and installed maps.I've also done 3 clean installs (including running PC Suite Cleaner) and the problem still remains.As far as the phone is concerned it is totally happy with all software levels (after checking with the servers) and everything else works on the phone as normal.
I have asked if there are any internal logs/debug switches I can turn on to help diagnose the problem but am advised'for nokia use only' (or words to that effect).From an end user point of view this is very frustrating, especially the basic map update mechanism as once initiated all existing maps are wiped out on the phone.I think this should be changed if at all possible.Most people will want an up to date map for where they are or planning to go.However to have a map version of places you are likely to go at short notice (even if they are out of date) is and important backup/safety feature.To be forced to update all maps is really not a very user or server friendly feature.Anyway, any comments are welcome (do you have a C5-03 & Ovi Suite and see this issue?) and meanwhile I'll wait to see if there is a fix in the pipeline.

I get the belle update yesterday(11/2/12) on my C6-01. And I feel that my phone goes comparatively slow than anna,so I decided to move my messages(over 3,000) to pc. But everytime I completed it,it only deletes 100 sms from my inbox(it shows that 'you have free spaces by 290mb' but nothing happens). I have tried hitting 'move messages later than 2 weeks and 1 month' but nothing works.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI work with a Nokia C5-00 operator locked (Movistar Spain) one month ago. When I connect it thru Ovi Suite (in a Windows 7 box), a firmware update was available, and yesterday I tried to do the upgrade.
Ovi Suite detected my phone, and a few moments later, backup its contents, and started to download the new firmware. Troubles came when Ovi Suite began to do the update, as it failed with a "Network Connect Error" when started to do the process.
Screen of my phone went completely white, and after disconnecting the USB cable, the phone simply died, except when I press the red button (it makes a vibration, but screen doesn't turn on). If I reconnect the phone to the computer, Windows try to install a "Nokia USB ROM" device, but unsuccessfully.
Can I make a sort of "reset" to revive my phone?
I bought one more C5 today and when I try to connect it to the pc via pc suite it says "Pc suite support installation failed" , I tried everything from reinstalling pc suite on pc, resetting phone but nothing working to let me restore the contacts from my previous C5 through Pc suite
View 9 Replies View RelatedI used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)
