Cseries :: No Belle Update On Nokia Suite?
Feb 12, 2012I live in the uk, with a c7 running anna. I connect my phone to the pc, and the recognizes it, so i go to the update section in nokia suite 3.3.86, it then says my phones current software is 022.014, i click refresh, and it says my phone is up to date, but i know it isnt! I have been looking forward to symbian belle, now its here i cant get it!

Feb 21, 2012I've been trying for hours to update my N8 to Belle with the Nokia Suite installed from Nokia yesterday, but after the screen goes blank I end up in an endless loop of "Connection Lost" and retrying. I kept trying for over three hours yesterday, and again today. So, I tried to install via "Check for Updates" on the phone itself, but this says "No updates". Is there a way around this?

Feb 15, 2012Why Nokia is not giving Symbian Belle update for nokia C6-00 while Nokia 500 is running on same platform which is much cheaper than C6-00. I am using C6-00 from around 16 months and the software is really slow and it hangs multiple times in a day. Before purchasing this phone i suggest all friends to purchase nokia phones, at that time i was using nokia's low end phones but when i purchased this phone, it never gives me satisfation that i am using a smartphone. So i am making plan to move on to some other brand.

Jun 27, 2012i had a C7, working great till i updated it with symbian belle.okay here is what i did.-my GPS was working on symbian anna with maps version 3.06beta-i updated the phone to symbian belle from symbian anna.-installed nokia maps 3.06 beta, and replaced the one that came with the update because it had the option of route planning which the installed map did not.-this was the first time i checked to see if the GPS was working after the update, and it did not work even after i stood in an open field for half an hour.-i learned that the latest update of nokia maps in fact had route planning, so i used the nokia PC suite to reset the phone software, and then later updated everything that was listed in the software update app.-my GPS could still not work after i stood in the same damn field for another half an hour.-now it will just give approximate positions based on the wireless networks, and not give any accurate position, so i cant use it for navigation anymore.-i tried running the gpsinfoqt app, and it keeps saying searching for a signal, but it never finds one!

Mar 11, 2012I performed updated from Anna to Belle today for my girlfriend on Nokia C7. I synchronized contacts, calendar and notes via iSync on my Mac OS. After update all messages are erased and she had important information there. I read in trouble shooting, that:: What should I do if the automatic restore of my phones content doesnâ work after I did the update to Nokia Belle and I dont see my contacts, calendar, bookmarks, etc.?A: The backup of your phone content is stored under C:Users[username]DocumentsNokia SuiteBackups and includes "Nokia_Belle_Update" in the filename. If the automatic restore doesn't work, you can try to restore your contents manually by opening the "Tools menu" in Nokia Suite and selecting "Restore".
I installed Ovi Suite on Mac and downloaded extra support for C7, but I couldn't restore that information. She never installed Ovi Suite on her PC. My question is: is she installs Ovi Suite for PC on her laptop, will she be able to restore old messages? I recently switched to Belle as well on my Nokia N8, but I'm not that crazy about old messages, so I haven't noticed it. I checked on my phone using Files disk C, but there wasn't any folders with my username.
Nokia :: 7373 Incorrect Amount Of Messages Shown In PC Suite?
Jun 6, 2010I am using the latest PC Suite 7.1.40.1. My phone is a 7373. When I connect with PC Suite (either Bluetooth or USB able) it is *constantly* showing me less messages on my phone then I really have. E.g. I have 782 message in a folder, but it shows me only around 600. And for other folders too. A few look normal. Even breaking up folders into more doesn't help. When I look at some messages, then PC Suite seems to concatenate a lot of messages into one message.And also when backing up messages, this backup is totally garbled and useless concerning my messages. My memory is running low on the phone, so I desperately want to save/export them on a card, but this way i can never do this and messages get lost (Btw on my phone itself everything is normal.

Oct 28, 2011Firstly, I've had a problem ticket and Emails with Nokia Support on the problem I'm about to describe and I'm told it will be forwarded to the OVI Suite Team to investigate.Basic problem is that Ovi Suite can not correctly register/recognise the maps it has downloaded to the phone.However the phone checks the server with it's map update function and reports back that they are at the latest level and no updates are available. Ovi Suite tells me correctly the maps I have on my phone but still offers the " 'gold star' Updated Maps Available" and if you then click this BOOM! all your phone maps are wiped out as the new maps start to download.VERY VERY annoying and expensive in time and financially costly on internet connections with limited/paid for bandwidth.I can confirm, as support have, that I have the lastest versions of phone software, maps software and installed maps.I've also done 3 clean installs (including running PC Suite Cleaner) and the problem still remains.As far as the phone is concerned it is totally happy with all software levels (after checking with the servers) and everything else works on the phone as normal.
I have asked if there are any internal logs/debug switches I can turn on to help diagnose the problem but am advised'for nokia use only' (or words to that effect).From an end user point of view this is very frustrating, especially the basic map update mechanism as once initiated all existing maps are wiped out on the phone.I think this should be changed if at all possible.Most people will want an up to date map for where they are or planning to go.However to have a map version of places you are likely to go at short notice (even if they are out of date) is and important backup/safety feature.To be forced to update all maps is really not a very user or server friendly feature.Anyway, any comments are welcome (do you have a C5-03 & Ovi Suite and see this issue?) and meanwhile I'll wait to see if there is a fix in the pipeline.

After an upgrade with Belle, it is impossible to get WiFi to work : Although the roaming finds my WLAN, and after introducing the exact WEP key, I allways get a WiFi not found error. I allready tried all the tricks mentionned in different posts over here, without succes.

May 3, 2012Until I updated my C6-01 to Belle, I was satisfied with the quality of the photos, given the known restrictions of the fixed focus lenses.
After Belle update, I have this impression that almost every photo I take is out of focus. I allways use the virtual button on the camera app to shoot photos, and not the physical button on the right side of the phone. I have not dropped my phone on the ground or something. I allways take good care of the phone.
What do you C6-01 owners think of that?

Feb 13, 2012i updated my phone to symbian belle, since then my wifi is not working, it dosent get connented, i tried everything hard reset, reinstalled firmware,..etc but nothing worked, evrytime i had to restart my phone to get it working, after restart wifi works for sometime initially but later problem bounces back again..it always show "connection unavailable connection failed" where as rest of my devices are working totally fine with wifi....is nokia going to do something about it

Feb 8, 2012I updated my C7-00 to the latest Symbian^3 Belle version yesterday. I haven't had much time to try it out but the first impression was that my phone was improved.
Now, I realized that my Original Nokia WH-205 Stereo Headset suddenly has stopped working i.e. they are not recognized by my C7-00 after the update. Why is this? I had no concerns before with the original Symbian^3 firmware or the Anna update either. Still, I can hear music with the standard headset that was included with my phone (Nokia Stereo Headset WH-102) and also with regular 3,5 mm earphones from a different manufacturer (Creative). I don't understand why the WH-205 don't work when the others seem to do and be recognized by the phone?
I'm 100% positive they are not broken as they worked perfectly fine just a couple of days ago when I could even make phone calls.
Should I roll back to Symbian Anna or is there some way of fixing this via a patch or manually?

Feb 8, 2012I was using Mail For Exchange on my C6-01 with Anna to access my Gmail email and Google Calendar. It worked really well and was a great way to keep everything in sync. After updating to Belle that option seems to be gone so I no longer have a way to sync Google Calendar (setting up a Gmail account is not a problem, but without Mail for Exchange I can't figure out how to sync my Google Calendar.

Feb 12, 2012Since I updated my C6-01 to Belle last week, I have a feelling that my battery is lasting longer then before. I have no ways of making an exact mesure, but I almost sure that Belle is more energy efficient then the previous version of the system (Anna, Symbian^3).
What do you think about that? Are you charging your phone (not only C6-01) less frequently since you updated it to Belle?

Mar 18, 2012After I updated to Belle I am experiencing some problems reading the calendar appointments. When expanding an appointment in calendar view to look at details font is very small. I think this is a persistent bug because neither in edit mode fonts get larger.
