Cseries :: Screen Going Blank Too Soon

I have a Nokia C2-O2, which I have just bought. The screen goes blank within a few seconds if I am not using the phone. Since the phone is protected with a security code, this means I have to key in the code every time the screen goes blank. Can i extend the time before the screen goes blank? Failing that, can I configure the phone so that the code does not have to be keyed in every time the screen goes blank? Apart, that is, from de-activating the security lock, which i do not want to do.

My nokia c6-01 screen will blank when receiving calls and making calls. Everything is working fine.

its since about a month since I boght C7.It worked fine until i got this glitch.
The screen just goes blank sometimes when a call is incoming .I am not able to use the touch screen to attend the call and instead I have to use the push button below.
I tried switching off and on again, and also removing the battery and replacing it, but without success.for once or twice after restarting it may work fine but again it happens. could it be software problem or any interference from any apps that i downloaded?

Yesterday night I was trying to install Nokia Belle on my C7 through Nokia suite. However, in between the installation process, my Nokia C7 went black and the installation could not be completed.
Since then my phone is blank. Now, when I hold the power button, the phone vibrates but does not start. The white charging light on the top blinks for sometime and then stops and nothing happens.
I believe it is a software problem as the phone is not starting even after charging my battery thru an external charger.
The original software was Symbian O3. Can I do a hardware reset? I can live if the phone data is lost.

N96 was working fine until two weeks ago, hasnt been dropped or damaged so i can only think its the update of software.i have reset it and still i have the same problem.If I slide open to answer calls or messages or use the menu's by opening it as if to use the media player (ie slide down) it works fine. If I slide up i get a blank screen and it takes absolutely ages to get the menu n screen When a call comes in screen goes blank except for a few lines (top middle)

I understand lots of people have had the same problem, but I just cannot find a solution which works for my Blackberry 8520!It has a white screen showing nothing, it boots once you put the battery in, and the only way to power it off is to take out the battery, I think it also keeps rebooting.I have replaced the screen - still white screen.I have re-installed the OS - still white screen

I have a serious problem. I was using my N79 (actually I was playing a game) and suddently the screen went crazy by showing random patterns. I turned off the phone, and when I turned it back on, the screen was blank. The backlight is OK, the phone works fine but the screen is blank.

I was watching a video on my curve, when suddenly the screen went blank. The device would not turn on after that., When i try to turn it on, nothing happens When plugged into the power source, the "msg light" flashes red and occasionally the screen has the charging symbol in the middle of the screen, but the battery bar never fills up.I left it for 2 hours on the charger, yet still the problem persists.

recently I have just received my phone back as I sent it away to get fixed. when I got it back it was perfect, brand new. now, the screen has went completely blank.ni haven't dropped my phone and it hasn't been exposed to water. I went to check my phone for any messages but when I went to unlock my phone the screen had gone completely blank. The screen was all white and had a black dot in the top left of my screen and had looked like my screen had just cracked. I can still recieve phone calls but I just cant see the screen. So I dont know if its the screen that is broken or the actual phone?

I was a proud owner of Nokia E61i until yesterday.
I went to sleep last night and everything was working fine, and when I woke up this morning my phone was totally blank.
At first I thought it probably just turned itself off because of the battery but the battery was fully charged. I cannot see anything, the screen looks as if the phone is turned off, but in fact the phone is on since I can here the keypad tones when I press anything.

this only happened this morning after using my phone, i was browsing Internet, i had made a phone call, i had been on ovi stores and then suddenly the screen starts showing all of these multicoloured lines, flashing, like the display was giving up. it's a bit like when a computer monitor isn't plugged in properly. the touch still works, its just i can't see anything.i tried resetting the phone, which it did, but it seems as though the phone software isn't the problem, its the display on the screen.

I'm having major stress with my Blackberry Curve The screen keeps going blank and white, then the phone resets and keeps going round and round in circles blanking and reseting. A few times it has loaded up, but by the time I've sent a message it has gone blank again and reset.This last time it loaded up the screen said ... uncaught exception limit <=4 ... or something very similar.

I received an email from Blackberry saying a new SIM card had been installed. It had not since March. We followed the link and tried to follow the instructions. We did a hard reboot by taking the battery out, waiting a minute, and then putting it back in. About half way through, the screen went blank white, and we have not been able to get it to do anything else.

My newly purchased Blackberry 9800 has just gone blank. I'm so sure it's not a battery problem because I have tried other batteries. It just happened abruptly. At first it was restarting 20+ times a day after continuous use, That i could just about deal with as i am due an upgrade after 2yrs. However, one time after i plugged it in to charge it would continuously reboot everytime it got past the startup screen, then it decided to stick on a plain white screen for a few hours. I let it run down on battery to see if this would help but when i went to use it again it started with the usual "Sony Ericsson"screen plus the coloured swishy display but then it just stays on a blank/black screen. It is backlit so it's not turned off. I would normally just let it be and wait for my new phone but it has all my contacts etc stored on the actual phone and not my sim.

I have a Z3, recently when I turn the phone on after being turned off the phone displays the home screen for a split second then goes blank with only the back button visible. I can lock the screen and change the volume but nothing else. The phone stays like this for 3-4 hours then returns to normal. I've taken to just not turning it off but this can't be permenant, running out of battery, etc.

Last night it turns completley blank black screen while in the process of updating an app. Have tried to hit the reset button and the volume up and powerbutton trick but it doesnt work.I cant see any logo or splash screen. Now, I'm deciding to visit the store bought it and see what they can do. Can they possibly replace my phone or will just fix the issue?.. This is to report a repeated problem on my smartphone. I purchased it on 21 Jun 2014. Within 1 year it developed a problem wherein the main camera stopped responding (black screen) along with flashlight remaining continuously on once selected on manually (have to restart the phone for flashlight to go off). This was rectified in month of May 2015.
The same problem repeated itself in the month of July 2015 and phone was again repaired/ rectified. Both times it felt under warranty and there were no charges paid. The only issue was twice the phone got formatted wasting my time and effort in backing up and reinstalling the desired software. Now last since last month the same problem has re-occurred.
