View 5 RepliesGot the message that new phone-SW is available. Connected to OVI-Store via USB and started update. Backup was o.k.., update started but could not reconnect to phone and aborted with error message. (cable was not removed up to this point) Now phone screen is black with no reaction on any key. Just after having taken off battery I get a buzz when pushing the red key like on power up, but no further reaction. Phone seems to be waiting for data download.

I tried to install it, which was a mistake During the installation Suite lost connection to the phone and as I checked the phone it was in test mode. It didn't respond to any keys so I had to remove the battery. After that the phone has been dead. When I try to boot it up or try to hard reset it with three-finger-salute the only response is a short vibration. After vibration the phone stays dead.Removing battery does not change anything.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI work with a Nokia C5-00 operator locked (Movistar Spain) one month ago. When I connect it thru Ovi Suite (in a Windows 7 box), a firmware update was available, and yesterday I tried to do the upgrade.
Ovi Suite detected my phone, and a few moments later, backup its contents, and started to download the new firmware. Troubles came when Ovi Suite began to do the update, as it failed with a "Network Connect Error" when started to do the process.
Screen of my phone went completely white, and after disconnecting the USB cable, the phone simply died, except when I press the red button (it makes a vibration, but screen doesn't turn on). If I reconnect the phone to the computer, Windows try to install a "Nokia USB ROM" device, but unsuccessfully.
Can I make a sort of "reset" to revive my phone?
What can i do? The hard reset didind work! It is dead,totaly!

when i hit ovi store icon, the welcome screen loads up really fast but the appliction does nothing expect saying 'LOADING' I have performed a 'delete data and restore' this does not fix the issue. also trying to uninstal over gets you the fingers 'REMOVING CANCLED'

out of the box my Lumia 920 is not able use my operators data connection. Some days after I started using the phone I got a notification that there is an update to the access point application. Afterwards it worked. But now I had to reset it because I wasn't able to send and receive SMS anymore. So I again have no data connection, but this time the Store is not offering me the update and I can't search for it or install it via the PC.Microsoft wasn't able to help, neither was my operator nor Nokia. Does anybody have an idea what to do? I'm thinking about either changing the operator (to one that has settings on the SIM card) or give away the phone. Punishing the operator for this doesn't sound right to me though.

The applications will begin downloading, reach a certain point of the download (most recently it was 95%), then it seems to pause for 20 seconds, and then it appears to start the download again, usually installing successfully on the second try.

She said "it looks like we have enough phones in stock for everyone in line now" or something like that. I'm wondering, for those who have waited in Apple Store lines, do they do the same thing? Whenever there are multiple updates in the Play Store and I press "Update", the first app updates, then the second one starts downloading, but the download hangs at some point, then after a few seconds the entire Play Store app closes without any message.
After that I can open the Play Store again and try to update the apps, but they only update one at a time, because on the second update it always crashes.
All the Google apps are at the latest versions, Play Store has version 4.6.17. This is happening for a while now, but I can't pinpoint it to a certain version of the Play Store app, but in the past I did not have this problem.
I've tried restarting the device, clearing data and cache for the Play Store app, clearing the cached data for the entire system, even switching the runtime (btw the problem is happening on both Dalvik and ART), but nothing worked.
I also have enough Available space: 4 GB as reported in Settings/Storage.
On my wife's Nexus 4, also completely stock and with updated Google apps, the problem it's not happening, so it's not something in my environment.
I'm having issues with the Play Store and some non-Google sites. I'm constantly noticing that Play Store gets stuck in "Downloading" when trying to update apps or install new ones and never actually starts until I completely restart the phone. Chrome also gets stuck loading pages that are non-Google sites, and I can't seem to download anything as they all get queued.
I tried clearing cache + data on play store, play services, download manager and even a factory reset. Everything works when I reboot, but after some hours it get "stuck" again, every day. Happens on wifi and 3G; what's causing it.I'm running stock Nov build with root (not systemless). Same exact apps and config on my N5 and no issues there.

Do I have to look at the update icon for the lifetime of the phone? When installing the Microsoft package, there was privacy agreement, which I declined, but that did not cancel the agreement either.

So I cant access it by any means. I tried installing the new qml store client. Even that gets installed but not available thru menu. I can confirm it is installed in the phone memory as I can see it in the installed apps list. But no way I can use it since there is no icon for it. Also I have lost my internet search engine which is used to search web content thru native browser.
