I had my C6 in my pocket and suddenly mobile started to don't read anything.If I try microSD on a USB-adapter it works correctly (on my laptop) but my C6 doesn't read or found it.I've read something about a tiny magnet on N8 or N900 (don't remember).
View 5 RepliesI think disk encryption it's an excellent feature. I use it in my laptop, but the main problem is: how can I read the encrypted disk in another environment? I have my E71 8GB MicroSDHC encrypted by the phone. it works excellent, but there's a catch: E71 it's USB 2.0 but doesn't mean it supports High-Speed. It only supports Full-Speed so the transfers must be sticked at 1MB/sec. Obviously, after encrypting my SDHC, I cannot extract from the cellphone and try to read in a computer, like I did before. My SDHC is Class 6, so the 15MB/sec transfer is wasted. Anyone knows a software/driver/whatever-you-know that I could use to read the encrypted memory in a PC?

I inserted the card into its USB adapter for my computer and tried to format it Fat, exFat, NTFS, and FAT in Cmd Prompt. I hope my blackberry didnt break my MicroSD card..
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm looking to expand storage to 32Gb on a couple of the more ageing budget phones and am wondering what rated-speed cards are actually worth putting in the phone - i.e. what kind of sustained write can e.g. the C5-00 or E5-00 maintain? Since I'll very likely be only using the card I'll buy with only these phones it doesn't really make sense to buy a Class 10 if e.g. a Class 2 is the only speed these handsets can sustain to the SD slot.Also if Class 4 or worse is all these can manage then I'll probably invest in 16Gb instead (simply for the reason that it'll just take an unreasonable time to re-fill that 32Gb) - so it's a fairly important question.

1) automatically buzzes and attempts a scan 5x in a row when I press the unlock button then locks the phone and requires pin.
2) does not even show the fingerprint scanner in the diagnostic menu
3) does not allow me to even register new fingerprints - I open the fingerprint software to scan new fingerprints and it closes.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Nokia C5-00 was suddenly switch off, i gave it to nearest nokia care, i tried to restore backup the contacts(which i took from my phone option) from my memory card to system and tried to open the contacts in notepad, but all the contacts are in unreadeable format. see the attached contact which i got from my mobile after taking the backup and let me know a solution to open all the contacts. Since i lost all my contacts from my phone i need it badly.
I am having 356 contacts totally, all ar opening like same in some encoded format.
Is there any software through which I can read and edit my Word documents and Powerpoint slides in C3-00? Also Is there any pdf reader for C3-00? Website address from where I can download them. I could not find anything from the Ovi store.

Heck, I can even file my emails away in my folders, if I want to; i.e. move them over to my bills folder, or my purchases folder, or my mom folder.Now, here's the deal with my other account tho. I have my work emails going to my iPhone too. At work, I use Outlook. I do not know a whole lot about how things are set up over here, but I have access to answers if you guys can help me find out the right questions to ask. When I read a work email on my iPhone, and I get to work the next morning, there it is, bold and unread. I really want it to show as read. I get an obnoxious amount of work emails. The whole point in keeping up with them on my phone is to save me time in the long run. So, when I get to work and have to re-read them all, I've saved nothing. I have a 32GB Class 10 MicroSD Card in my phone but none of my Apps can see it. Under "Managing Applications" I can only move between Application Storage and Media Area; not to the actual MicroSD Card!If I put videos or music on thr MicroSD CArd, I have launch them through the File Manager and none of the cover art or anything loads because the Music And Video Apps are confused as to where the media is coming from and it has caused other problems during playback!Is there anyway to consolidate (un-partition) the internal NAND Flash Memory? Or at least configure the phone to use the MicroSD Card instead of the Media Area?

Does anyone know if one will work in the X3-02, and whether I'd get the benefit of the full speed?Also, while a 32GB card is probably out of my price range at the moment, has anyone managed to get one to work in an X3-02? I notice that the X3-02 Specifications page on Nokia's UK site is still contradicting the manual by saying that the phone accepts cards up to 16GB, rather than 32. When I asked Nokia Support they said 16GB was the correct figure, but that was a couple of firmware revisions ago.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy daughter is a proud owner of Nokia Asha 203 since x-mas. She asked me do buy a memory card and I took a 16 GB class 6 one (from Samsung). When I put the card in the phone, it does not recognize it:
- I have copied some MP3s and they are not detected. When I choose "Memory library details" from the media player, it says
Memory card: (unknown)
- When I plug in an USB cable and choose mass storage mode, the phone says "Insert memory card to continue"
I have tried with an older card - 4 GB class 4 - and it works like charm, the phone detects and plays MP3s from it. I have tried putting the 16 GB MircoSD in another player (in fact, one cheap chnese player) - works just fine.
I have updated to the latest firmware: 20.52 from 27-09-12. Did not help. It seems to me that Asha 203 cannot handle 16GB MicroSDHC.
The question is in topic. The card is for 32Gb Class 10, first it was in FAT32, then I formatted it to exFAT. why phone is not seeing it at all.

I recently upgraded to an android phone but really don't like it and it's to late to return it. So, my options are to go back to my 8330 which is 2 years old and hope it makes it the next 2 years of our contract or stay with the Android that annoys the heck out of me. Is it possible to take the SD card out of the android and put it in the BB so I don't have to deal with activation fee's? I'm thinking that it's not possible but a friend insists that I can do it.
Don't want to damage my BB. Thanks in advance for any advise.
Updated to the latest fast ring build and I can no longer see most of the apps on the SD card. They are now grayed out. I've tried moving them to the phone and updating them. Pictures and music are still viewable on the card. I have tried everything that I can think of except restoring the phone

I was expecting the new BB torch will be able to open the files in that card, as in the music and the pictures from my old phone are there. But there's nothing from the MicroSD card can be read by this Torch, but when I take it out of the phone and trying to open it in the computer it can be perfectly opened and all of the datas are still there.what can I do to make the BB torch read the Micro SD?

The phone seems unable to detect it however
The card works fine on the PC, and I tried out a couple of other microSD cards (lower capacity though - 2 and 4 GB) in the phone, and they work fine as well. So it's just this combination of 32 GB card + N8 phone that seems broken.
My MicroSD card in my Xperia is currently not working. It suddenly didn't worked! I checked the memory card on my laptop and tried to reformat it, but it says, "Disk is Write Protected". I cannot reformat it also using other Cellphones.
