I want to expand memory of my N82. I dont know how much highest MMC support N82.Because in N82 specification some sites says 4GB,8GB or 16GB. also shop keeper gave me different ans. So is anyone who has highest memory MMC for N82 without any problem, tell me.
E52 - Is it possible to expand the very small E52's memory from 60 MB at least at 100-125Mb ? Like all others Nokia E devices have since several years: E51,E65, E66, E55, etc.. Otherwise the Contact storage is very limited, because it seems there's no way to set the Contacts save memory on the SD card.
Being aged 39 I wasn't too happy to have a hearing test this week to be told that I am 'borderline' need for the hearing aids! I've been given very strict instructions to 'protect' my hearing (ear defenders whenever using a powertool, turning down the volume on any personal music player, no standing infront of the speakers for 2 hour at a rave!)
Wihtout wanting to get into a debate about EU regulation or what safe volumes are, how I can cap the volume on my iPhone (iPhone 4, latest OS) to a relatively agreed safe limit? I remember that my older iPod Classic had a handy line that you could set the limit to (related, I think, to the FR/EU regulation).
I have found the slider in Settings>Music on the iPhone, how much I need to dial this down for it to be 'safe'. I intend using my noise cancelling headhone more (so I can hear more of the lower volume music)
Info: iMac G5, Intel iMac, Mac Mini, Mac OS X (10.7)
Im using Xperia Pro.I want to expand my storage. I dont know that my phone supports MicroSDHC card or not, I dont know whether my phone supports class 10 or not.
how is Apple going to expand sales into 17 more countries at the end of this week, but I've ordered my iPhone over a week ago and it still has a ship date of August? Yet, they can sell more phones in other countries...are they just mass producing all these phones the past few weeks and saving them up for the new launch in these other countries and holding out in the U.S.?? Makes me a little upset, I am not an Apple fan and never have been. I have been using Android for quite some time now and never had any issues but I finally decided to make the switch to try something new and yet it gets worse and worse before I can even get my hands on the actual phone!
I just upgraded from the HTC DNA to the M8, one thing I don't like and can't figure out if there is a workaround, on the DNA the lock screen would display all of my notifications (text, email, calendar) right on the lock screen so I could screen on and immediately see.
On the M8, with them turned on, it displays one line with all notifications hidden, and you need to swipe down to be able to see all of the notifications... which to me doesn't seem to make it any more useful than the notification bar that's already there.
Is there a way to make this notification area on the lock screen permanently expanded? The space below seems completely unused so I don't understand why you need to swipe down to expand in the first place.
I just got myself a E52, was very surprised to see a 1GB Card in such a great phone. (Is this 2005? 1 GB Card)Anyways, here is my main question. I want to change this card to 8GB.I already have got the 8GB MicroSDHC card, but not sure how this will work. There is Maps Data about 500 MB, and other files.if i simply copy the contents of one card to other will it work?
I think disk encryption it's an excellent feature. I use it in my laptop, but the main problem is: how can I read the encrypted disk in another environment? I have my E71 8GB MicroSDHC encrypted by the phone. it works excellent, but there's a catch: E71 it's USB 2.0 but doesn't mean it supports High-Speed. It only supports Full-Speed so the transfers must be sticked at 1MB/sec. Obviously, after encrypting my SDHC, I cannot extract from the cellphone and try to read in a computer, like I did before. My SDHC is Class 6, so the 15MB/sec transfer is wasted. Anyone knows a software/driver/whatever-you-know that I could use to read the encrypted memory in a PC?
Since it seems that prices for microSDHC cards have dropped quite a bit recently (you can get a 16GB Class 10 Samsung one for £25 now) I'm thinking of getting a new Class 10 one for my X3-02. Does anyone know if one will work in the X3-02, and whether I'd get the benefit of the full speed? Also, while a 32GB card is probably out of my price range at the moment, has anyone managed to get one to work in an X3-02? I notice that the X3-02 Specifications page on Nokia's UK site is still contradicting the manual by saying that the phone accepts cards up to 16GB, rather than 32. When I asked Nokia Support they said 16GB was the correct figure, but that was a couple of firmware revisions ago.
I recently acquired a 32 GB class 10 Kingston microSDHC card for use with my N8.
The phone seems unable to detect it however
The card works fine on the PC, and I tried out a couple of other microSD cards (lower capacity though - 2 and 4 GB) in the phone, and they work fine as well. So it's just this combination of 32 GB card + N8 phone that seems broken.
1. I have my own tone for incoming sms and it is not a song so I don't what it to be added to my music library in default music player I can't understand in what folder I should put it on SD card? (in other words what folder is not scanning for music by default music player). 2. In what folder I should put my music files by default? SoundsMusic? If I will put it in this folder my music library will be updating automaticly with new files from this folder? 3. Do you have any description of folders in memory/SD card and what content is expecting to be in these folders.
I bought a 32GB MicroSD card for my N8 so that I had enough capacity to store all of my MP3s. Unfortunately I can't convince Ovi Music Player to sync music to that location. It always tries to sync the music to the N8's 16GB internal storage area despite there not being enough capacity to do so. Is there any way to configure either Ovi Music Player or the N8 to use the MicroSD card exclusively for the music library?
I want more memory for my N8 and am thinking of a 32gb micro sd card. I would like to use it for backups, and recording video. Class 10 is good for video I have heard, but do I really need it. I am thinking of SanDisk Ultra 32GB microSDHC Card Plus Adapter (SDSDQUA-032G-U46A).
My C6-01 came with a 1G microSD card. Want to upsize to a 4G but couldn't copy two files in it (card_content.cid and SD Content Packege sd_SEA_EA) to my PC hard disk. Can I just ignore them?
I've had a nokia 5220 express music for about a year now, and when I bought it I bought an 8 GB MicroSd card.since the beginning whenever I connect to any PC via the phone the PC showed that the memory card had only 3.4 GB and the nokia PC suite also showed me the same size.
The problem is that when I check the setting of the phone the memory status shows that I have a total of 7.4 GB, also whenever I connect my MicroSd card via a card reader the PC reads and shows that I have a total of 8 GB, until now I didn't mind this problem however now I've almost reached the full capacity and I'd like to fix this problem or bug.
Is anyone else having this problem? You’re talking on the phone, and after 15 minutes, or 14:59, your call gets disconnected, with an "Not allowed" message. Initially, I thought maybe my MfE was trying to sync, since I have set my profile to sync every 15 minutes, but it is also doing that during off peak hours, which is set to sync every hour instead. I even went as far as turning off MfE, and it is still hanging up the phone every 15 minutes.
I cann't find the updated maximum microSD memory card size for the Nokia 6303 Classic phone. All the spec's sites and documentation list 4GB as the maximum, but I'm using an 8GB card without any problems. (After downloading fireware update)
I would like to upgrade to a higher size either 16GB or better still 32GB. But before heading out and buying a card I would like to know if anyone has tried using these cards with this handset before successfully.
I had a problem when I added an Exchange Mailbox on a Nokia N8 and I had to take off the Device PIN lock from Exchange Access Clients and it automaticaly restarted the phone followed by a factory reset. When it was done, the phone lost all its contacts, messages and music. Than I have discovered the MicroSDHC Class 4 Card 8Gb was not been recognized in Windows and tried also on Linux with no success. Is there anyway to recover back the important information from the MicroSD card?
Why will my 7230 only accept names in the contacts with 10 characters or less? I have seen screen shots of the 7230 in phone review websites that show contacts with more than 10 characters. Also will not allow me to use small fonts in Contacts.
I have a 64GB microSD in my Nokia 808 Belle FP2.. I recently went on vacation and after about 600 pictures taken, I got an error that my micro SD card memory was full, and it auto switched the save location to my mass memory.I have plenty of memory free on my micro SD card still. Is there a picture or file limit in the DCIM folder?
I installed some sofware in E drive (memory card) with some sound files (an IM program). The Music Player managed to find them and added them to the library. But those files are really nudge sounds and not musics. So I really prefer it not searching directories other than the one I set to search. I would like to set it to only search "Music" folder if I could.
I purchased an app about 2 months ago, I've installed it about 15 times.I did this because I reformat the phone every week or so because it slows down and becomes too.. full. Will this restriction be removed? It asks me to repurchase the app. =,= NO WAY.
I bought a 16gb MicroSD card for my 5230 Nuron. How do I transfer everything from the original 4gb card to the new card? I've downloaded some apps and themes and I want to make sure they get transferred to the new card. I tried doing a full backup and restore using Ovi Suite and some of the downloaded apps made it and some didn't. I tried to re-download some of them from Ovi Store but Ovi Store seemed to think they were still there and wouldn't let me download them again. Is it as simple as copying the contents of the old card to the new card?
I recently got a Kingston 16GB Class 4 microSD (from a reputable source - not ebay - and yes it is a genuine 16GB microSD) for my N8 and want to transfer my music to it, to free up space for photos and video on the phone itself. What I thought should be a simple process, thanks to Nokia, has turned out to be a non-trivial exercise.I naively copied my MUSIC folder to the microSD (F), and then deleted the MUSIC folder on the E drive, and refreshed the library. It went through the process of seemingly refreshing for ages, number of tracks clocking up, but then told me the music library was corrupt and showed nothing. After playing for a while, I decided to reverse the process, put my music back on E and deleted the MUSIC folder from the F drive. Refreshed library and I was back to square one (thankfully), and everything worked as before, but, of course, I still hadn't got my music across to the microSD.
Then I searched these forums and found loads of people had had the same problem. It seems that, (as is often the case) the refresh of the library has bugs, and keeps old files somewhere on the device that should be deleted by the refresh process for it to work properly, but hang around causing problems (thanks Nokia - your software guys strike again)Despite trying to find these 'private' folders, they do not appear to be anywhere on any drive on my N8 (and, yes, I did have show hidden files set)
So, simple question is, how can I successfully transfer my music to the microSD so that it just works? Do i have to delete all 1400 tracks and reload them onto the F drive, and if I do this, will it sort the library problem. Ideally I would appreciate a tried and tested method from someone who has actually DONE it, as I don't want to screw my N8.
How do I copy a calendar appointment (whether meeting or to-do)?Then how do stop the meeting alert from continuing on until I stop it. I know how to "swipe" the screen to stop it - but if you are away from your phone and the alarm goes off, I don't want it going on forever.
I just bought a MicroSD car for my Bold 9700 but when i connect it to the slot, it doesnt seem to be connecting to my phone. Any help? ive also been battery pulling to see if it would connect
