Oct 11, 2011I broke the 2 of 4 metal inside my BB 9900 sim card holder, so it does not read my SIM-card anymore .

BB Bold 9700 :: Sim Card Not Read
Feb 27, 2010I bought a great at&t 9700 today which i tested before i paid for. I got home and noticed the sim card was tough to get in and i forced it. Doing this broke a contact point off in the sim socket giving initialization failed message. I took the phone apart trying to come up with a fix of my own...... no success
-what are my options? i cannot find the main board and the socket is integrated unlike other blackberry models.
-can i buy the main board?

1) automatically buzzes and attempts a scan 5x in a row when I press the unlock button then locks the phone and requires pin.
2) does not even show the fingerprint scanner in the diagnostic menu
3) does not allow me to even register new fingerprints - I open the fingerprint software to scan new fingerprints and it closes.

This has to be a software glitch. I've already resetted my phone and same thing.
BB Storm 9500 :: Media Card Cannot Be Read - Verify That The Memory Card Has Been Formatted
Mar 11, 2010Has anyone else experienced this. I have a BBStorm.
I did not know my media files were saved on my SD card. I thought they were saved on my device.
In the options, under Memory, it says Media Card cannot be read. Verify that the memory card has been formatted.
First I took the memory SD mini card 8G out and put it back in.
Still same message.
So then I went to Format and formatted it...as it asked me to do.
Error message came up. Saying Format Failed.
However all my files are gone.
I am so mad that my blackberry told me to ensure it was formatted. Everything is gone off my BB.
Is there a way to recover this data?
I haven't backed up my BB before.
BB Curve :: Won't Recognize SIM Card Anymore
May 17, 2011About two months ago I bought the Blackberry Curve 3G from Amazon. I bought it unlocked so that when I go back home (I'm from Holland and I'm currently in the US for a year) I can take it with me and use my old sim card. The phone worked fine up until last week; the battery died and when I turned it on as it was charging, I got a message saying the sim card was not available. I turned the phone off again, unplugged it and opened it to see if the sim card was properly inserted. It looked fine so I turned the phone back on: same thing. I've been very careful with my phone, never dropped it, never got wet etc so that can't be it.
It's not the sim card because I tried to put in a different card and that didn't work either. When I tried those two cards in a different phone, they did work.
I contacted Amazon and the company that I bought it from; they told me to contact Blackberry. What can I do??
Xperia X10 :: Cannot Read SIM Card
Apr 16, 2011In Contacts, at the top above "My number" it says "Cannot read SIM card". I got a new SIM card in case the old one was faulty but it's just the same. Rest of phone seems to work OK, including Contacts I've added.

My order status now says "prepared for shipment", and now that I check my credit card statement, I don't see the pending iPhone order there anymore. When will I get charged then? Jun 2, 2011I've had my Blackberry Torch for a few months and it used to flash "Media Card Inserted/Removed" constantly (alternating between the two) untill I would just take it out and give up. Now it has got to the point where it won't read any memory cards at all. I recently posted about this and was told to format the card in my PC then in my phone, which worked great for a few hours then it flashed "Media Card Removed" and was not recognised at all after that. Now when I repeat the format procedure (in PC then in phone) it recognises it for about 10 seconds then says its removed. The media card slot doesn't appear to be damaged or loose.
