I had to pre-install my computer with windows 7. When I connect my nokia via USB it gives "device driver software was not successfully installed"; MTP USB device failed. I have tried contacting nokia and Microsoft in vain. I have windows media player the latest version installed as they asked me to if it is from nokia.
View 1 RepliesI had a problem where I was unable to install applications from Ovi Store to C7. I finally found out that the my C7 had two versions of Nokia Smart Installer installed. After removing the old version (required reboot to be able to do that) the installation started working.

I have been trying to connect my nokia n900 to my pc that runs windows 7. I am using usb cable that came with the phone. I get an error messege on the computer when using mass storage mode that says "failed to install device driver'. I downloaded PC suite and tried PC suite mode. I got an error message saying "your phone is in file transfer mode. quit file tranfer mode to proceed" how do I quit file transfer mode?

I can see the icon in the menu, but does not work (module not found...) and the desktop manager does not see the game installed (neither in options-advanced-applications)The problem is that now the phone has very low performance and I can barely use it, it's too slow.

I did the install and after a restart, was prompted to do several more updates: Anna 1/2, Anna 2/2, Ovi Suite, Maps and Anna Service Pack. When the update finished I was told that Anna1/2 and Ovi Store had failed, while the others were all sucessful. I have tried it several times but it fails every time.The phone appears to be working OK but the failure of Anna 1/2 is a bit worrying as I do not know the significance of it and the Ovi Store failure is annoying as I cannot launch it. The Ovi Store would not launch previously either ,so I was hoping the upgrade to Symbain Anna would fix that

View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought the C3-00 a month ago and after several problems like phone attaching to the gprs on its own and firing all my credit, getting stuck for no reason when opening gmail with the gmail application, today I had to remove the battery for the first time trying to find out the security code - which no one set and which is supposedly "12345" by default (only not because it DOESN'T work) - because I wanted to reset it to the factory setting, the phone which two seconds prior that action - removing the battery - was connecting with no problems with my pc wifi now when opening the browser Opera is giving me the title error:

A) I can't factory-rest the damn thing because I don't know the security code, security code which I never set. The supposedly factory code 12345 doesn't work.
B) After removing the battery the wifi is USELESS and the phone doesn't connect to the internet anymore. It goes to the nokia.ovi and the accuweather links and such, but the default browser (so ACTUALLY using internet)?? NO WAY..

The biggest problem is that i cant install any software for my phone, like .sis and .sisx files. I know about the certificate process which is also a problem but my phone cant even get to that. Everytime i try to install an app, opera mini 7 for example, straight from m.opera.com, it just pops up "File corrupted" error And nokia suite, nokia pc suite,... cant sync with my phone, it wont accept any software install from nokia suite ( "file corrupted" ).
