1 month after I got a new 4GB media card 4 my Curve 8520 it stopped workin. I've tried 2 format it, repair it n install it but I got a msg dat kept sayin failed to format or install or repair. So I tried my old 2GB media card n I'm getin d same problem.

just got a 16gb micro sdhc for my 9000, transfered all my stuff from my 8gb perfectly and can play all file off computer. but once i plugged it into my berry it said "A Media Card has been inserted that contains errors, would you like to repair it?" I select yes and it gives me the message "Media Card Repair Failed"

I had the issue with a 32Gb card (which works fine in the PC) and I am now having the same issue with the 16Gb I bought to replace it (having thought it might simply be the running a 32Gb size that was the issue.
It worked briefly and it stored a couple of GPS tracks, but it now won't repair at all... is there something I can check on my phone? I am also having issues with Appworld and am in the process of tryng to reinstall it as it disappeared from the desktop view.
I'm new to the forum. Anyway I bought my Curve 9360 in January from the o2 store. Last month a message popped up on my screen saying 'a media card has been inserted that contains errors. Do you wish to repair the Media Card now' I clicked yes. After that I got another message saying 'If lost clusters are found during the repair, do you want to save them?' again I pressed yes. The problem was successfully repaired. Today the same thing happened except this time it said 'Media card repair failed'. I searched how to repair it but I don't seem to understand how to do it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLast week my blackberry torch, whose battery life has been rather poor, cut out due to a dead battery. When I charged it and switched it on, my wallpaper had change and I thought weird but whatever. Anyway, I found the next day, when I tried to take a picture of my kids, that all my photos are gone and I can no longer take any pics coz it says that the memory is full, even though the media says 'o photos'. I am gutted, but have found the following message on my storage menu ' device memory cannot be read. try to repair or format'. I've tried to repair it but it fails, and I am holding on to the hope that my photos are still in there, so want to avoid formatting it until the last possible moment. I am desperate for the pictures, there are just too many of my kids there to have to lose.

Also all photos stored in Camera pictures file have all been lost. Had to reboot phone and an 'Built in media storage not accessible due to detected errors'. Asked to repair said yes and message says that 'Built in Media repair failed'. How I can get the camera back working. There should be loads of storage space as not much stored on phone.

The phone said "A Media Card has been insert that contains errors" and I tried to repair them, but as others have found, "Media Card Repair Failed". When I plugged both the phone, and then the media card via a card reader, into my laptop, the "camera" folder was simply a Unix file, not a folder anymore, and obviously no contents. So is the problem the card, or is the instructions for the camera missing? I've tried taking the battery out a few times to reboot - no effect. I've tried "repair" repeatedly and that doesn't work. I've not managed to re-format the card so do let me know how exactly to do that via the phone, if you think that's the best option.

But i have a problem with it ..... the problem that when i download any thing from nokia OVI Store from my mobile like: Games, apps and videos when download finished and starting to install the games or the apps it's say's: "installation failed" and when i redownload it again nothing change and keep saying "installation failed" ........ and i noted that when i install app ( themes, apps and games ) on my mobile by ovi suite or by file manager it also say's to me "Expired Certificat" even if i signed this apps but it alwyas say's "Expired Certificat"....... for this problem i did: hard reset - format my mobile - format my sd card - update my mobile to v40 - but the problem never stops to return in a few hours ..... then i find out that when i need to install any app on my mobile (by ovi suite or ovi store in my mobile or file manager) i have to switch off the mobile and turn it on again to install what ever i want ...... so Plz help me out

I copy and paste the video into the "video" folder on my phone using the USB cable. But then the video does not appear on my phone. What am I doing wrong? I have managed to save the video on my phone now in 3GP format. It shows as a thumbnail, gives the correct length etc. But when I want to play it, it says "playback failed".

I have checked my phone has the most up to date software, and tried phone repair using PC suite, which also fails. Am currently only able to charge via USB, which takes ages. Have only had the phone for a year - and still have 6 months to go on my contract.

I always check how many bars i have and its usually at 4 or 5. sometimes a battery pull fixes this, but other times, the problem is persistent. my old bold 9000 had the same problem, so i'm not sure if it's at&t or blackberries in general.

After removing the old version (required reboot to be able to do that) the installation started working.
