May 26, 2010I'm not exactly sure if I'm correct, but on my iPad, the wifi doesn't disconnect after you put it in standby, but the iPhone and iPod touch does. Any cydia apps that will accomplish this?

Mar 13, 2012This weekend I updated my iPhone 4 (AT&T) and iPad 2 (Verizon 3G, wifi) to 5.1. Since the update (went flawlessly), I have been unable to connect to wifi networks anywhere. All that I get is the continuously running circle that shows it is trying to connect (but never actually does). I have RESET all Network connections numerous times, did the 'Forget this' connection on everything, etc. They will no longer connect to places that I have always connected to (Home network, CLE Airport, Hilton, Work, etc...). I can connect to all networks fine with my laptop and blackberry, but I just get the constant connection circle with my iPhone and iPad 2. I have tried:
1. Reboot (Soft)
2. Reboot (Hard (Home and Power button)
3. Forget WiFi connection
4. Reset Network Connections
5. Tried 6 different Wireless (wifi) networks that I have always been able to connect to with no luck.
6. Airplane Mode with wifi on...
7. Turned 3G off...

Mar 14, 2012Has anyone's iPhone 4S and iPad 2 experience the same problem after the iOS 5.1 update? When the device is left (screen) on, not on standby mode.
Both my iOS devices seem not able to lock on to my home wifi network (AirPorts), after a while they would drop out and on screen shows the 3G icon, I did not have this problem prior to 5.1 update.

I really do not know what else to do. But if I put the device to sleep, i.e. I always have my iPad 2 on standby, when I turn it on, the wifi would be there.

Jun 2, 2012I never had the issue with the 2G/3G/3GS, but once I got an iPhone 4 at launch and then the 4S, the issue has always been the same. It doesn't matter which network I connect to. Websites load incredibly slowly, apps download slowly, and it's impossible to stream anything or install an iOS update via wi-fi.
I connect to the same networks on my iPad 2 (as well as multiple laptops, both PCs and Macs) and it's always very, very fast.
The funny part to me is that the router is an AirPort Extreme, though I have the same issues with both Cisco and Netgear routers (haven't had any others to try).

My work bans iTunes, so even though I have a computer, I can't update that way, either. My husband has the 6 (which is fully updated with the new ios) and has no problems with the same wifi signal.

Jan 25, 2010I have an issue with my BB Tour.When I woke up this mourning and took my bb off the charger.I notice there were HLhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhl type on my bb so I tried to press the esc button and the end button and it didn't work. So I did a Battery pull and let it load up...and that when i found out that my trackball wasn't working.then all a sudden it started to type the HLlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhlh again.So I did a another battery pull and it did it again.So I wiped the phone decided to install 5.0 on my phone and I get the same thing.The only thing I did before my phone went hay wire was a couple days prior.I downloaded a couple free themes and screen saver from BB App World.I thought by doing the battery pull and wipe I would fix it but didn't. I know I didn't get my phone wet or anything can anybody explain this?

Jul 14, 2010I just updated the software on my Blackberry Tour and now my calendar is behaving as it did two software generics ago! Specifically, when I change and appointment to a future date and then save that appointment, the calendar moves to that future date! This is terrible if you are moving several items out to future dates! Previously, the changed entry would just disappear from the screen (moved to the new, future date) and I would remain on the day I was working on.Secondly, when I open a future day in calendar, the “All Day Events” do not show first (as they used to). Instead you have to scroll up to see if there are any of these type events.Does anyone know of a way to change these settings/defaults.

Mar 12, 2010Just went from a storm 1 to a tour and I am loving it. I can't believe how much more app. memory I have!
However, I cannot get my tour device to show up in windows explorer. It connects and I can browse my media card. There is no drive in windows explorer for the device itself. I can connect to desktop manager and back-up my device memory so I know the computer can read my blackberry device. I upgraded the os with no problems.
I am running vista home premium with blackberry os 5.0 from sprint. I am on verizon. I do have mass storage mode enabled and all of those memory settings set to yes (auto connect, etc.). BBSAK and Blackberry Master Control Program see the device as well. I do not use roxio media manager and it is not installed with my desktop manager. It was too slow and clunky when I had my storm so I never bothered with it.

Feb 10, 2010After I installed the new operating system I lost a feature. Both my husband and I have the Tour. For example, if you highlight the Games folder and press the Blackberry options, one Tour can choose "edit folder" and pick a new Icon. The other Tour mine is missing that choice. Any fix? If I create my own folder, I have the feature, but not for my Games, Applications and other folder that were there in the old OS.

Jun 9, 2010I dropped my Tour and scratched up the bezel, and made the dumb decision to replace it. Long story short, I messed up switching over the buttons, and I stripped the screw putting it back in, so there's no going back to fix it. Now, when I press the keyboard lock button, it doesn't work. I figured out that I can hold down "A" on the homescreen to lock it, but now how do I unlock it?!
And PS: DON'T CHANGE YOUR HOUSING/BEZEL! I would much rather have a dinged up bezel than the situation I'm in now. Looks like I'm stuck with this Tour 'till December. I hope that people listen to my housing advice, and not be naive and ignore others like I did!
BB Tour 9630 :: Tour Loosing Signal And RIM Sent Software Update
Apr 26, 2010My Tour is 3 months old. Suddenly calls are dropping in the house and the battery charger is taking 10 hours to charge the spare OEM battery. Running the 5.0.419 and it's been fine. Verizon came out with theirs and it's so bad I went back to 419. Now I have an email from RIM saying new software for the phone is available but it doesn't say what version it is so I'm afraid to load it. Any one else have same issue? Phone was fine after going to the first 5.0 for 2 months but now after having changed from Verizon's 5.0. (been a month or so) the issues started about a week ago.
