Feb 15, 2010I have tried adding an email address multiple times and each time I cannot open the Email Settings. I get the same error message each time - 'Your device had a problem connecting to the server'.I am running 4.7.1.61 on an unlocked Tour 9630, using a SIM card for a local provider.I have restarted the device and re-registered new service books.I have run a diagnostic test - it shows all connections to BlackBerry services - registration, connected to BlackBerry and PIN-PIN 'abort' yet I receive email on the existing account and can send PIN messages, etc.

Mar 22, 2011I have a Torch running on the Italian provider TIM. I recently upgraded the firmware to version 6.0.0.2534 and since then I am no longer able to access my email account settings or add a new email account. I downgraded to the previous version, but still the problem, upgraded again but no luck. Every time I try to access my e mail settings it tells me to contact my provider, and sometimes the phone just freezes. I've tried all the various battery pulls but nothing. After spending hours on the phone with my provider, they tell me that the problem is not theirs but Blackberry!

Jan 19, 2010I understand the steps to generate and auto signature - Go to email, click menu/options/email settings/auto signature ON, and type in your signature. However when I click on Email Settings there is no option for Auto Signature. The only options are:
Enable HTML email yes/no
Download Images Automatically yes/no
Confirm Delivery yes/no
Confirm Read yes/no
Send Read Receipts yes/no
There is no mention of auto signature.
BB Torch :: Cannot Reset Password To Access Email Settings
Apr 16, 2012I just replaced my Blackberry Torch 9800 with an identical device. There is a User name and Password needed to access e-mail settings.
My device prev iously remembered the User Name and Password (e.g., when I had to synchronize my e-mail whenever the password for the e-mail account changed) but now that the device has been replaced, it is now asking for this information which I have misplaced. Is there an easy way to re-set this password?
I do not remember the User name either (it says the password can be sent to the device if the correct User name is provided). Unfortunately right now I cannot access any e-mail on the device.
BB Tour 9630 :: Tour Change Cdma Number Settings
Apr 5, 2010I bought a unlocked sprint phone to work on my network (rogers) works fine, but when i go dial it shows the older persons number. I know i can turn this off to not show it but i want to change it. It can't be changed through general options. Im guessing its stored in the device with the last owners SPRINT CDMA settings. On a verizon i can do ##000000 but it doesn't work on sprint. Wipe security didn't erase it , Will JL_CMDER delete that??

When I view the certificate it looks like the phone is trying to contact google.com.

If the Problem persists please contact your administrator." I have pull the battery out for 1min and rebooted. Resent service books.
and gone into Options -->advanced system setting --> host routing Table --> enter --> register. I received the email through from blackberry, went back into the browser and I still get the above message.

Feb 19, 2012my mom gave me her blackberry tour when she upgraded and I had it unlocked.so I could use it for my move to Dubai.In Canada, I was able to use voice, SMS, access email and BBM via FIDO.I could not see any internet icon so I didn't have any data plans.It was all pre-paid.I had a TOUR from work previously and was able to access voice, SMS, internet, BBM....is this the difference between blackberry enterprise (which I assume is available only for businesses) vs the Blackberry Services (Email or Social Networking) for personal use? When I moved to Dubai, I pulled the FIDO sim card and obtained a du sim card (yes "du").I then paid for and activated my blackberry services (email / BBM) however when I tried to set up my email account, I got a "Your device had a problem connecting to the server" error.I tried pulling the battery, registering through Advanced Option, Host Routing, registering online at du.blackberry.com and when I try to register there, I get the message that says my device cannot be registered and to try and register through advanced options and if that doesn't work contact my wireless provider.
Someone from their technical support got back to me and said that my blackberry service is associated with my previous wireless provider (FIDO) and that I had to call FIDO to get the PIN released.I did that and FIDO said it was released.I've tried repeating the previous steps for registering / setting up email and I'm still getting the same errors. Initially when I got the du sim card, they activated a blackberry social account for me and this was not what I wanted so they deactivated it.I wonder if somehow my device is actually registered with du, but on the wrong plan.so this is why I can't access the email / bbm service.

Jun 7, 2010I recently upgraded to a Blackberry Curve 8520 from T-Mobile. I am at my wits end. I have a $9.99 unlimited internet plan with T-Mobile. I have gone through several websites trying to find the APN settings to use with the Blackberry Curve. I have found several of them, but none of them seem to be working.
Can anyone out there tell how can I go about this? Honestly, I do not want to pay T-Mobile the $30.00 a month they are asking for access.
BB Tour :: Trying To Add Qwest Email To Tour?
May 10, 2011I am trying to add my Qwest email to my Blackberry Tour but I am not having any luck. I was on phone with Verizon and had me go through the email wizard - POP, email, password, mail server, user name - but no luck. The Verizon rep suggested that I set up a gmail to make it was not my phone - was able to set up a gmail account in 40 seconds - so it is not the phone - called Qwest customer service - the best they could do was get me a guy who handles DSL technical problems - in other words - useless. So, just checking here, if anyone has been able to find a solution to this problem.

Aug 8, 2011When i'm using the browser the Blackberry Logo Button doesn't seem to work. If I hold it I can switch programs but it wont open the menu where the options are. The button works fine with other applications! I tried wiping the blackberry but it's just not making any difference! I'm so frustrated, I only got the phone the other day!
