ihave this blackberry 9630 tour im charging it and then when i saw it its not charging anymore and then i restart it and its loading and its stay there i cannot use it anymore its stay loading i try not to put the Battery for one whole day and when i put it back it still loading and when you wait for it the blackbery will restart and loading again.

I have a Tour running 5.0 and have never had an issue with any Bluetooth headset except the BlueAnt Z9i. My BlueAnt Z9i does seem to work fine on 4.7, but I'll chuck the Z9i in the can before I stick w/4.7 for any longer than testing purposes! BlueAnt said I should contact RIM for details on a solution; however, I see no reasonable means to directly contact RIM tech support?And since this is RIM's official support forums, unless I'm mistaken? Does anyone know anything about this faulty Bluetooth in 5.0 on the Tour and Storm 2 that causes random issues with Bluetooth headsets? Random issues are: Random beeps, buttons on headset being unresponsive, sound and mic not working, and hang-ups. These are all completely random issues the button unresponsiveness can be fixed by disconnecting the Bluetooth headset from the BlackBerry device via the BlackBerry device. And then the headset buttons will work again, enabling the headset to be powered down, etc This is of course a fix until it randomly happens again the next time it's paired to the Tour running 5.0!"As you know this is a specific issue with Blackberry tour (9630) and storm 2 phones using 5.0 OS, no updating of BlueAnt products will help as it's a fault with the phone." BlueAnt said "I believe It occurs on almost all Bluetooth devices within anything from one weeks to two months of pairing with a Blackberry tour using 5.0." BlueAnt said "Just to re-cap: the issues with the tour happen with all BlueAnt products: Q1, V1, Z9i etc And I've heard from consumers that called in it also occurs on Jabra's and Jawbones etc.We know that Blackberry know about the issue so if you contact them they should shed some light on it." Earlier today, while my tour was charging it randomly rebooted itself, but it wouldn't boot all the way - the load screen froze about 2/3 of the way through and then didn't do anything (for like 15 minutes) I did both a hard and soft reset, but the phone still won't boot past that point. Because it won't boot, I can't connect it to the computer to reinstall the OS or anything.

Of course I'm not trying to compare the Eris with an iPhone in terms of syncing up with a Mac .... but as far as a touch screen device, typing / touching accuracy, user interface experience .....
How does the Eris with 2.1 / 2.2 compare to the iPhone 3Gs? Since I'm going to be paying for a non-Contract phone -- the Eris is the only one I am considering.
Running live wallpaper and probably 20 open apps as well. Still does pretty good. Can't wait for 2.2 update.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI prefer to hide my wireless SSID but when I do this my android devices don't see the network. Even if I am already connected with my Xoom then switch to hidden SSID mode the Xoom disconnects. Same for my HTC Thunderbolt. My network is shown in the list of remembered networks as out of range. When in hidden mode. This does not affect my laptops.
They stay connected if I switch to hidden mode and they have a setting to connect to hidden networks that have previously been configured. I cannot find a setting for hidden network support on either android device. Hiding the SSID is not a new concept. Is this not supported in the android network stack? I have a strong random PW on my wifi so I am not terribly worried about it but I would be nice to have the option.
ok my tourch 9680 has just turned itself off completly and now resets over and over, the loading bar gets half way through loading then turns off and starts again,
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with my BB Tour.When I woke up this mourning and took my bb off the charger.I notice there were HLhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhl type on my bb so I tried to press the esc button and the end button and it didn't work. So I did a Battery pull and let it load up...and that when i found out that my trackball wasn't working.then all a sudden it started to type the HLlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhlh again.So I did a another battery pull and it did it again.So I wiped the phone decided to install 5.0 on my phone and I get the same thing.The only thing I did before my phone went hay wire was a couple days prior.I downloaded a couple free themes and screen saver from BB App World.I thought by doing the battery pull and wipe I would fix it but didn't. I know I didn't get my phone wet or anything can anybody explain this?

Did a battery pull, double checked memory leaks, and nothing is taking care of it. It's draining at about 15% per hour. Any thoughts (other than Tours suck.)

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just updated the software on my Blackberry Tour and now my calendar is behaving as it did two software generics ago! Specifically, when I change and appointment to a future date and then save that appointment, the calendar moves to that future date! This is terrible if you are moving several items out to future dates! Previously, the changed entry would just disappear from the screen (moved to the new, future date) and I would remain on the day I was working on.Secondly, when I open a future day in calendar, the “All Day Events” do not show first (as they used to). Instead you have to scroll up to see if there are any of these type events.Does anyone know of a way to change these settings/defaults.

However, I cannot get my tour device to show up in windows explorer. It connects and I can browse my media card. There is no drive in windows explorer for the device itself. I can connect to desktop manager and back-up my device memory so I know the computer can read my blackberry device. I upgraded the os with no problems.
I am running vista home premium with blackberry os 5.0 from sprint. I am on verizon. I do have mass storage mode enabled and all of those memory settings set to yes (auto connect, etc.). BBSAK and Blackberry Master Control Program see the device as well. I do not use roxio media manager and it is not installed with my desktop manager. It was too slow and clunky when I had my storm so I never bothered with it.
After I installed the new operating system I lost a feature. Both my husband and I have the Tour. For example, if you highlight the Games folder and press the Blackberry options, one Tour can choose "edit folder" and pick a new Icon. The other Tour mine is missing that choice. Any fix? If I create my own folder, I have the feature, but not for my Games, Applications and other folder that were there in the old OS.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI dropped my Tour and scratched up the bezel, and made the dumb decision to replace it. Long story short, I messed up switching over the buttons, and I stripped the screw putting it back in, so there's no going back to fix it. Now, when I press the keyboard lock button, it doesn't work. I figured out that I can hold down "A" on the homescreen to lock it, but now how do I unlock it?!
And PS: DON'T CHANGE YOUR HOUSING/BEZEL! I would much rather have a dinged up bezel than the situation I'm in now. Looks like I'm stuck with this Tour 'till December. I hope that people listen to my housing advice, and not be naive and ignore others like I did!
My Tour is 3 months old. Suddenly calls are dropping in the house and the battery charger is taking 10 hours to charge the spare OEM battery. Running the 5.0.419 and it's been fine. Verizon came out with theirs and it's so bad I went back to 419. Now I have an email from RIM saying new software for the phone is available but it doesn't say what version it is so I'm afraid to load it. Any one else have same issue? Phone was fine after going to the first 5.0 for 2 months but now after having changed from Verizon's 5.0. (been a month or so) the issues started about a week ago.

We use MS Outlook as our mail program.I was just playing around in Outlook trying to figure out how to attach my business card to the end of e-mails I send and soon realized I was looking at all of my personal cell numbers of friends, family etc. in Outlook on my corporate lap top ! Yikes ! I don't want my mom, ex wife, current GF's etc. contact info on my corporate laptop.Is there a way to get my Tour and/or Outlook to stop syncing my phone contacts to my my computer?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded from my old Curve 8330 to the Tour 9630, both on Verizon, and I couldn't be happier with my new device -- except for one thing. The Curve had a great "standby" function I could use at night, in which the phone would lock its keyboard and effectively shut down, but still be able to receive calls if one came in. This also saved lots of battery power. After hours' worth of mashing the top "lock" and "mute" buttons on the Tour, and searching through the internal menus, I can't seem to find a similar mode on my new phone.
First: If there's a thread about this already somewhere else, I beg your pardon; I'd be grateful for a link and I'll be on my way there. But if not, does anybody know whether some devices just do not have a standby mode anymore as part of OS 5, or whether there might be something wrong with my phone because its mute key won't activate standby mode?
The key lock button the top left works, but, at least on my Curve, the key lock and standby were two very different things -- I'd lock the keyboard when I put the phone in my pocket, but I'd put it on standby before bed every night. Does key-lock mode on the Tour replace standby?
I've entered a pre-paid SIM card and can't read the phone book on my TOUR, i dont even have the option to retract them from the card to the phone when i go to the menu. Although I can make and receive calls with no problem.Did u guys have to do something special prior to entering the card?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought a unlocked sprint phone to work on my network (rogers) works fine, but when i go dial it shows the older persons number. I know i can turn this off to not show it but i want to change it. It can't be changed through general options. Im guessing its stored in the device with the last owners SPRINT CDMA settings. On a verizon i can do ##000000 but it doesn't work on sprint. Wipe security didn't erase it , Will JL_CMDER delete that??

I have always wanted the Tour but i'm skeptical because of the trackball issue that many people have had. Even though some people have said that the issue has been fixed in the newer brands people still complain... is it just because they don't clean it? Wifi isn't too big of a deal to me since i'll have 3G anyways. I know that the Bold 9650 comes out next month... but i can't wait that long for a new phone.
