BB Tour 9630 :: Uncaught Exception Java. Lang.Argument - Error ONLY At Opening Browser Icon
Apr 2, 2010All of the sudden, half of my browsers are throwing this error message up that locks my phone when I use the browser icon in themes ....browsers were working fine yesterday, now half ofthem are locking the phone up all of the sudden......did a battery pull like 11 times, wiped the phone and reinstalled the latest .591 and still have the issue. The browsers I used for the last two weeks are now doing this ?

May 26, 2010When I try to email any pictures, I get a message that "the total attachment size exceeds the maximum allowed size." This is happening even though the estimated size is only 83.8KB. Can anyone give me any ideas about what I'm doing wrong? I'm on Verizon, by the way.

I'm at a loss as to why this suddenly happened. I've pulled the battery several times. Made sure that the attachment service is listed in my core apps, it is.

Aug 9, 2011I cannot receive any MMS messages when I am roaming. I received a text with a picture attachment and I could not download the attachment because it came up with an error that said I had no data connectivity. The 3g data symbol was up and blue in color and worked because I was able to text via data roaming.I can send and receive calls and text messages while roaming, just could not get the MMS picture. I had everything checked correctly, data roam and call roam were both checked. The only way I could get it was to get to an area where I had sprint service to download. Is this a known problem? Where I work deep in the building I am usually roaming.

Set storage to SD Card and tried to save some pictures sent via SMS/text and am getting an "error saving attachment"I tired to change storage location to internal but that doesn't work either.The only thing that I can see that may be causing the problem is that the pictures were sent form a friend in Thailand and the file has Thai script characters in the filename.Is this a limitation of the phone/Android OS? Jan 21, 2010I am having a huge issues with my e-mail/internet and text messaging capabilities with my tour plus the phone constantly shuts off. I am on my 3rd tour (2nd replacement phone). This issue started about 4-6 weeks ago w/my first tour, it was replaced then the second one started randomly shutting off, then I am now on tour #3 and am having major issues:I'm not able to get a signal to receive phone calls, text messages or e-mails and today while I was at work (same spot for the last 6 months -- haven't moved and never had an internet/signal problem before) when I got out of work I had 18 e-mails, 16 text messages, 2 missed calls and my battery was practically drained and dying (which by the way under mobile connections and mobile network if I put it on 1VEX it can never find a signal or is always searching for a signal whereas if I put it as Global it can find a signal).I got this phone because I'm an avid overseas traveler and I need a phone w/me when I leave however this is causing a lot of frustration and annoyance.I've done everything to all devices:hard pull, complete hard drive wipe, updated service books, turned mobile networks on and off, made sure I had the most up-to-date software available NOTHING works.any suggestions?

Aug 18, 2010I've been going around and around with this issue for the last couple days. When I opened citysearch it said there was an update. After updating it all it did was open, nothing else, then it just closed. So I deleted it, thinking I'd reinstall it, but it doesn't show up in appworld when I do a search. So I go to appworld online and send have it send me a link, but no reinstall button. So i delete appworld to see if that will fix it. now when I try to reinstall it I get the message..."sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support blackberry app world" Ok.....so I reinstall the os just for the heck of it. Still same thing. Why is it so difficult to add apps to this phone? I never had this kind of grief with my 9000.

Oct 22, 2014My phone frequently returns a message "Error! Camera not Available!" when opening any application which uses a camera. This happens specially when the applicatons that scan barcodes are used ("AT&T Code Scanner", "OK Scan"), but not exclusively. Among the apps bringing the camera to a crash there are some of good reputation, like for example "Perfectly Clear". In the emergency mode the camera works OK.

The issue is the same as in this thread for Z1, however it disappoints me that the same happens in Z3 which is so much newer.

The support advised me to clear the data for the camera (Applications menu) and restart the phone. No dice, so they advised to reset the phone to factory defaults. I did it twice, due to after the first time I found exactly which apps caused the problem. It took me a day to restore everything to the original state .

Afterwards, the camera was stuck by "Perfectly Clear", a decent app written by a "Best programmer". I was depressed.

However, there is a solution: simply clearing all the apps running in the background (["three permanent keys in the bottom" | "two rectangles" | clear all], or [an icon with a green brush]). This works without a restart.
BB Tour :: Giving App Error 523
May 11, 2011My phone has the App Error 523 and loops when i click on reset. Could someone advise how I can fix? Is it possible to save my contacts if I have not backed up when fixing this error? I have a Tour 9630 and telus is my carrier. They have been little help and more or less told me I probably won't be able to fix the error.

Apr 3, 2010I'm about to lose it completely with this error. I've tried so many "fixes" but none of them work. Here's my problem:
My phone loads up and:
I get an old background I've never used
I cannot make a call
I cannot open my email
I cannot open my text
I cannot open my voicemail
I cannot open my browser
All attempts to do so freeze my phone and result in the unhappy "App Error 523" with the only option to reset.
It gets better...
Battery Pulls do nothing.
All attempts to connect to my PC result in the unhappy error.
All attempts to do a diagnosis result in the unhappy error.
I really have no idea what to do and all technical support from blackberry leads to dead ends and no result.
BB Tour 9630 :: Error 503 Reset
Jan 31, 2010Pioneer Tour 9630 I cannot get into the phone for any OS Version, I assume it is relatively current as the phone is less than two months old.
A battery pull did not fix the issue
The apps I loaded were google earth, a GPS Navigation system, ESPN, and weather.
All my phone will do is show a white screen with Error 503 Reset. I have tried taking the battery out and that did not work. All it get is a white screen with a little timer in the middle for 3 or 4 minutes.
It will not connect or do anything with the desktop manager. I have tried the launcher to get it connected, but to no avail.

May 2, 2010My schools email server went down the other day, and now it is back up. Between the process of it going down, i was no longer revieving emails on my phone, so I deleted the account in hopes to simply re-add it and be back in business.Now that I deleted it, im not able to re-add it. Go figure. Im putting my account and password in correctly, and usually it would just load onto my phone. Say I were to restore a prior backup when the email was working, will it be all set?What the heck am i missing this time?
