BB Torch :: Not Allowed To Edit The Contents Of It?
Dec 1, 2011
I find it very disturbing when I want to forward an email and I am not allowed to edit the contents of it. There are some applications around that provide that functionality but they only allow you to edit emails without attachments. I don't understand why this functionality isn't built in like in android devices or iPhone. Is there any application that provides such functionality for both emails with attachments and without attachments? It is driving me crazy L
I was changing my password to a simpler one. I cannot remember the key(s) I hit by mistake (they were numbers). I am at the 9th of 10 allowed attempts. The manual tells me the device will be wiped if I go to #10. I've searched for a phone number for technical support, or a "Contact Us" option on the Blackberry website. There seems to be no way to access tech support. The whole reason I was using a password was to prevent inadvertent downloads due to the super-sensitve touch screen. I've been charged for numerous downloads that I was unaware I made, apparently while the device was in my pocket. I'm very disappointed in the whole Blackberry experience. Shouldn't there be a way that my password can be sent to me via email as there is for most every other forum in our lives for which we need a password -- at least without the draconian action of wiping my BB Torch 9800 clean of my data?
My friend has just got a blackberry torch with virgin mobile uk its all set up and ready when she tries to access the internet through the virgin browser it appears on the screen content not available.
It looks like my Blackberry Torch is rebooting. The phone has gone to the Blackberry screen with a white time line loading at the bottom. I am concerned that this is reloading the device and I could lose all my content. I have tried to switch off - unable to and when I remove and replace the battery it still resumes. Obviously I have not downloaded my contacts/diary recently.
My home wi-fi and office wi-fi were working properly until yesterday. I do not know what I may have done to cause the problem.Getting to the point, I noticed that the passphrase from my home wi-fi [20 characters] is defaulting to the office passphrase [16 characters] . When I attempt to edit and save the correct passphrase [16 characters], the phone defaults back to the home passphrase.
I tried turning off the system, taking the battery out several times as well as manually deleting and reinstalling the office wi-fi. No matter what I do the office wi-fi passphrase resorts back to the 20 character home passphrase. The home wi-fi still works fine!
My Torch had a previous owner and their signature is still popping up in txts etc. (Even though I am using it on T-mobile and they weren't) How do I go about editing the signature and where do I find this option?
In the menu for, say... text massaging, at the top I have two entries that read:"Reply with Vlingo" and two that read: "Translate with Navita". (There are several duplicates)
I uninstalled the app and then re-installed it, yet the duplicates are still there. Given that there are several entries and several programs that have these duplicate entries in the menu, they are cloggin up the menu.
Can I edit my forward emails before sending them out?
I have diffulties trying to do that and it is strange because I understand from users who are using BOLD they can edit their emails before it was forwarded.
I can create a group in "Contacts" but when i go back in to try and add / delete members, i can't save. My previous cell was the 9630 Tour and I was able to do that with no issues. My 9810 was running the default OS (252 I think) and I was unable to edit the groups. I updated the OS thinking that might have been fixed but it doesn't look like it has.
Using iOS 5.1.1 on iPhone 3GS. I was browsing through my pictures in the photo album and noticed the edit feature, I wasn't sure what the buttons at the bottom were for so I clicked the red circle and realized it is the red eye edit tool. But it took me to a full screen of the picture and tells me to click on the red eyes and to click twice to undo, but after lots of clicking I can't seem to get the screen to go back to my normal photo album. How do I close this feature? I can access my camera roll through the camera but not through the photo album. Even after hitting my home key and trying to get back in it still takes me to the picture that is in edit mode.
**** complete edit by fletch33. just too much to edit out to save this post. please see our house rules in regards to dicussion and links to information that alters the system or requires root.there are plenty of forums to discuss this however the Motorola corporate forum is not one of them.
I bought a blackberry Bold 9900 2 months ago and now it is showing me the above message I phoned verywhere tried everythimg imcluding getting unlock codes ohoned my service provider the handset is not locked neither is it blocked.
I have an Enterprise account setup that had worked flawlessly until about two days ago. Email comes in, but does not go out. Other features and email accounts work just fine.
my blackberry storm 2 (9550) recently just took a splash of water and as you all might now, water can easily get in due to the spaces bordering the screen. So far my blackberry is working perfectly fine despite one major thing, the browser. It shows that I am connected to my home network, though when I try to load a page it shows the error message, "Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later." My guess is that the water effected the circuit board?
I rebooted my BB today and after it was switched on SIM not allowed :3 appeared on my screen top!I am just not able to receive any phone calls or texts.. But my BBM is still working!
I installed Foxfi which required that I create a lock screen password before it would work. I assumed that I would be able to remove lock screen security during the times when I don't need to create a hotspot. But now it will not let me disable the security. I even uninstalled foxfi and restarted the phone but the option to disable is still greyed out. What do I need to do?
I'll just get right to it. When I enter the service menu, it tells me that: unlock bootloader allowed: no. I cannot unlock my bootloader. Now, nobody seems to know of any solutions to this problem. I know it is the carriers that are at fault, but I just want to know if it is *possible* to unlock my bootloader. If not, I will have to return this device for one that is more developer friendly.
Skype 2.0 update was just released and it allows skyping over 3g. The downside is that there will be "a small monthly fee" after august. That kind of ticks me off and I hope voipover3g still works with jailbroken phones.

On my blackberry curve 8520 i keep on getting a red signal at the top saying SOS this is vodafone and phone not allowed mm6 plus it has also been unlocked but when i put in my t mobile sim it comes up gprs but i can not call or reieve text.
I'm writing here asking for your support. Yesterday, completely out of the blue, my device stopped working. It can still connect to the internet with wifi, but my carrier network doesn't work. The problem is no due to the carrier (I put my sim card in another mobile and it works!) An error message appears on the screen: "Phone not allowed MM6".I googled it and found that my IMEI http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Mobile_Equipment_Identity) was probably blocked. A device is usually blocked by the owner if it's stolen or lost... But I legally bought it on ebay!So what should I do, now? Who should I call for having my IMEI number (and thus my device) unblocked?
I have a E52 bought in Dec 2010. But now, with a fully functional SIM card in, I get the message Call Not Allowed. I can still receive SMS's. Today I found out that when I remove the Memory card, the SIM card works and I can make calls.
my handset was working properly before i did factory reset. After i did factory rest to cancel the forgotten settings my phone fails to make calls by a message call not allowed. When some one calls me my phone does not ring even though it seems am online. What could be the problem with my nokia E72?
I was updated my E72 mobile software via ova suit after then my mobile is not allowed any outgoing and incoming calls but I can receive only messages anybody can help for this problem and I was check my Simi to use other mobile that time it was working so my network side is no problem problem is only on my mobile
After creating a group on the people page, when you try to send an sms to the group, the message does not get sent. The messages do go when they are sent individually.
Recently I went on trip and set my phone to Offline - but allowed wifi connections.I did buy a microSD card. I tried removing it - same issue.Upon my return back to my home and native land - I could not make out going calls.Anyhow - now I can't make out going calls. I can send and receive txts. My data plan works. I can receive calls.I checked my call restrictions and tried check status and it said request was denied. I never set up any restrictions or passwords.I have rebooted several times. Tried the holding for 8 seconds and waiting for the 3 buzzes - no dice.
